Illinois-based Insurer – Allstate Reviews
The largest publicly-held auto insurance company in the United States, Allstate typically sells auto insurance through its agency system. Headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois, Allstate sells car insurance in almost every state. The following Allstate reviews are from actual customers.
Allstate has received some bad press in recent years related to certain practices aimed to limit claim payouts. They seem to have improved their image recently. Like most major insurance companies, they have spent a pretty penny on advertising. If you have Allstate auto insurance or have ever had Allstate, leave a review about your experience – good, bad, or ho-hum.

If you are insured with Allstate beware your car is stolen. Our car was stolen and they made a direct deposit in our bank account, but what they paid is nowhere near what it will cost to replace the car with the same year and model with the same mileage. However our car was found just yesterday, and the insurance company will not allow us to buy it back for the same amount they gave us, and told us we could bid on it in 6-8 weeks. We have been without a car for over a month and they want us to wait 6-8 weeks and only offer $5 a day for UBER services and I refuse to use UBER so they pay nothing.

Insured with Allstate is not good hands , our truck trailer mirror was broke when an employee was driving it into the shop for an inspection , I called our agent immediately and he said have police report and we had it all covered. WRONG, even with report from police when they came out to the scene, Allstates adjuster came out and said since we let him drive our truck , it wasn’t covered , its our responsibility and there is no coverage for that.

Been with this company for a long time, not really for any particular reason other than I am too lazy to get quotes from other insurance companies. But, they really have not given me a reason to leave them either. I feel I am paying a decent amount for insurance coverage, even though I don’t want to pay it. They have also paid the one claim I did have without much trouble.

I moved back the U.S. after 6 years abroad and eventually bought a car and needed insurance. Previously I had used Allstate so naturally I called an office close to where I live. It was so super quick and simple for a change! It seemed in the past it was so time consuming, with me being required to physically go to the office, fill out paperwork by hand, submit documents etc..,but now it was less than a 15 minute phone call, a few emails and done! The dealership sent the official documents needed for me, and I just had to electronically sign a few forms, I still cant believe just how simple it was! The agent I worked with was straight forward and clear with me about everything! I was presented a selection of different coverage options, and all of my questions about the differences were explained! I needed a bit more clarity on the specific differences in a few of the options, and the agent explained it to me in a way that made perfect sense! It seems in the past i had felt that insurance agents spoke over my head, did not really try to take the time to simplify things, and it was so nice to feel that I had a complete understanding of what I was agreeing to before making my decision! I didn’t feel any pressure from her on my coverage choice, she was agreeable and friendly, and for me that was such a refreshing thing! I guess technology along with personal training have improved the insurance industry since I last used one

We’ve been with All-State Insurance for over a decade. We use them for everything from car insurance to business insurance. All state has always been pleasant for us to use and has always went out of their way to modify our policy to meet our needs. Not only to they offer a wide range of policies they will go out of their way to draw up a policy that fits you perfectly. We’ve had a few accidents here and there over the 10 plus years we’ve been with all-state and they were always great to work with. For the most part, they haven’t raised our rates enormously despite the few accidents we have had. Our agent is always friendly and will always go out of his way to satisfy us and meet our needs as a customer. Over the years we compared rates with other insurance company, with that said, hardly any we’re open to giving us a cheaper rate, except a minor few. We were not willing to change insurers just to save a few dollars, providing the kind of satisfactory service that all-state delivers to us. We will continue to use All-State insurance I expect for many years to come. Not only has All-State offered us great rates and a wide range of policy modifications to suit our needs, but they always deliver on their promises. The last incident we was involved in, our Landscape company had busted the window out of a large bank. The bank was highly concerned about the window, “Being a bank”. All-State came out immideiately after the incident to evaluate the situation. Two thumbs up to all-state for their excellent service!

I have been a customer for 35 years and never filed a claim. When a storm damaged my roof and I submitted a claim, they sent an adjuster who was up on the roof for all of two minutes. He said that only one out of four slopes was damaged by the wind and the other damage was “not related.” The storm blew shingles off the roof, and it “wasn’t related.” Interesting assessment.
Our roofer, who was on the roof on three different occasions, showed them photos of the upturned shingles on the other slopes, and Allstate still kept to the story that only one slope on the roof was damaged. That doesn’t feel like being in good hands. Those aren’t even mediocre hands. Those are greedy hands Allstate has: they’ll take your premium and spit on you when you have a claim.
Not worth the money having Allstate for home insurance. You’d do better taking your premium money and keeping it in a savings account. Allstate is a complete rip off.

I am happy to be a proud customer of Allstate Insurance Company Ltd. I am a good driver and I am very much careful on the streets. I was one day hit by a car at a turning point and my car had to suffer unnecessary damage. I approached my auto insurance company and the inspectors of the company came to my house. They reviewed the damage caused to my vehicle and after proper inspection, they took photographs of the same. The inspectors called me to the company office and told me the they required to complete proper formalities for processing the charges for damage. They studied my driving record properly and they found that I had not caused any accident in the last ten years. I am in fact a good driver and I drive my vehicle very carefully and with utmost care. I got the recommendation of this company from one of my relatives who himself owned an auto insurance policy of this company. I also carefully reviewed the feedback of this company online before applying for an insurance policy for my car. The application procedure was really fast and at the same time their claim processing procedure is also fast. Within a reasonable amount of time they processed the insurance claim and I got back the cost of my damage. They deserve credit for such a positive review from my side. I would definitely recommend this company to my other friends and relatives as well. At the same time I would give them five stars.

I also am a good driver. I have had no tickets in 20 plus years and no accident in 24 years which was the other drivers fault and not an excessive amount of damage to vehicles. Have been with Allstate 11 years with home and always 3-5 vehicles having coverage. One person in 11 years was found at fault in a $1800.00 claim less $500.00 deductible. Yet no matter how much I lower coverage we don’t need and they wouldn’t pay anyway I find every 6 months car and home insurance increases. Oh coverage on my car is a lot more than my husband who had the not huge accident. Not a happy costumer.

From the very start, Allstate has been my ideal kind of car insurance company. I filled out some information online and got a call from one of their representatives. The lady was extremely kind and had no issues answering questions that I considered to be a bit ‘stupid’. I was insured for a few months before I got into an auto accident. I was rear ended by someone at an intersection. While the damage was pretty minimal, I was still worried about what Allstate might say. When I got through to them, I went through a very easy process of explaining what happened and giving them some general information. Luckily in the long run, the expenses I had to pay out of pocket were extremely minimal, which made me very happy. Once again, their representative did a great job at helping me out, and explaining to me some intricacies of insurance I wasn’t aware of. I think that a lot of auto insurance companies get a bad reputation, but I found that Allstate hit the marks in a lot of categories. First off, their customer service was stellar. I was treated with respect and had all my questions answered in an easy to understand way. Secondly, the cost for the insurance itself was way lower than other insurance agencies. I was actually surprised how much they saved me a month. Lastly, their general insurance coverage is outstanding. I’m able to get a wide variety of coverage without it costing me a lot of money. Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with Allstate, and I would highly recommend them to anyone

I have had Allstate insurance for the past 6 years. I switched to them after having Geico because their rates were lower, specially after having one fender bender, which raised my rates. At first I was happy, obviously because of the cost. But, I slowly began to lose the trust because year after year my rates started going up, even though I was driving safely. No more accidents and no tickets. And unless I would call them, there was no proactivity in trying to find discounts and savings. Fortunately I did not have to use their claims service, so I can’t speak to that. But because of that, I had zero contact with my agent most of the time. That is not how a business should be run. As to service, I can say that it’s not bad. I had to call a few times to discuss my billing options and the 24/7 line was helpful. However, their website was really primitive compared to Geico. I could not modify my coverage directly without calling, and the navigation was kind of clunky. If I wanted to find my renewal, it was kind of difficult because it was hidden in the policy documents, and you did not receive a notice when it was time to renew until a few days before. Over the years, the site has improved, but it never really caught up to a site like Geicos. At the end, I decided to move to State Farm just recenty, as they beat the rates by 600 per year.

After having a negative experience with a competing insurance company, I decided to give Allstate a try. From the 1st phone call, I could tell that the company as a whole was much better than the previous company I used. The customer service rep I spoke with explained in easy to understand detail what would be covered, and what wouldn’t be, and even listened intently as I explained the circumstance I was involved in with my previous insurance company. My previous insurance provider wanted to blame me for an accident that they originally said wasn’t my fault on 2 different occasions, by 2 different reps. I obviously wasn’t going to stay with a company that was so quick to change their mind after I had already put the incident out of mind. After switching to Allstate, I ended up saving a few bucks on my payments. I’ve not had to call them to fix any billing mistakes, or for any major screw ups on their part.
Overall, I’d rate them 4 out of 5 stars. Allstate isn’t the cheapest option, but they do provide excellent customer care. Fortunately, I’ve not had to call them regarding any accidents since I switched to them. The few times I have called them, it was to update my payment information, and just general questions that I had regarding scenarios that I nearly found myself in. The rep’s are always polite, and answer every question I have with enthusiasm. All in all, I’d say that I am more than satisfied with Allstate, and short of them making a huge screw up like my previous company, I will be staying with them for a while.

I’ve had allstate for the last few years now. Overall, I am satisfied with my coverage. The agent I have is very nice and almost always available to contact. It seems like he is involved, but mostly only calls when I need to submit a payment. I get a lot of mass emails, but nothing personal. I haven’t had any need to submit claims, but the process seems straightforward. I noticed that the price is much higher than other companies. They also do not offer much in the way of discounts. Even the up front, all at once payment only saved me like twenty dollars. I will most likely make a switch after my policy runs out unless they can lower the price. I am a little upset that my rates have continued to increase over time, even though I have never been in an accident. I will call before my policy ends to try to get a better deal. Still, the policy gives me great coverage and I have not had any issues yet. You can do most of your insurance stuff online and go paperless to avoid a lot of the hassle. They offer good support even outside of business hours, so should you run into a problem, they will most likely have you covered. Still, they do not do anything crazy that other companies do not do. Their services are pretty standard. Even with the price issues, I would still recommend Allstate as long as they fit your budget. |Except for the price, not bad.

My car insurance company is Allstate. I’ve had it for about a decade now and very happy with it. Not only is the rate reasonable, but the policies on it are really beneficial for me. The good driver policy has been really given me some great benefits during the course of my policy. Even though I am a really good and responsible driver, there have been issues where my car has had problems with minor accidents that were not my problem.
A major issue I have had to deal with is when my car gets dents and damage due to being parked in a parking lot. I have had to deal with either cars accidentally hitting my car or shopping carts crashing into it. While this could result in a headache when it comes to dealing with the insurance company, Allstate has been nothing but great when helping me deal with the incidents. The customer service is not only really good and attentive to me, but they also will do anything they can to resolve the problem. During the whole time when dealing with such issues, the representatives have never let me feel like I was in the wrong or was lying about the incidents. They have helped me with all such accidents and because of that, I will continue to be an Allstate customer. I can’t say enough good things about them. Great company.

We recently signed up for car insurance with Allstate. They’re generally considered a pretty good company, and they offered us a very affordable rate, so we jumped at the chance to sign up. We were told that we would be able to use an app on our mobile phone as proof of insurance the day we signed up, which was really convenient and we’d get our physical cards in the mail within 14 business days.
Unfortunately, both of those things were outright lies.
We downloaded the app and signed in to check our proof of insurance, and it wasn’t there. So we called Allstate, and they told us it would take 48 hours to process but then it would be on there. Alright, that was a pain, but at least we’d have the POI before we left on a cross country road trip.
48 hours pass, and we still have no POI on our phone. We call again, and they tell it is will take another 3 days to show up. So at this point we’ve gone from having same day proof to having to wait a freaking WEEK, leaving us driving without POI.
We signed up more than a month ago and STILL have no physical cards. The only POI we have from them is a temp print out that expires in a few days. Every time we call them they are ridiculously unhelpful. The price was apparently low because even though Allstate bills themselves as being a great company, they’re just like every other budget insurance company. Really big disappointment all around.

Allstate has given me the best deal for a multi car household. I am in college, so I also received a good student discount. On top of that, we had the different cars to insure. We wanted to find a company that could insure all of us so we would have one company to deal with and pay for insurance with. Allstate was really nice and helpful with getting all of the four cars information. We got more discounts as well for my parents being good drivers. Since I am an “inexperienced” driver I obviously am going to have a higher rate. But because I was paired with my “Good driving” parents, our rates went down even more. We got another discount for taking a driving safety course. And received another discount because two of the four cars are equipped with tracking devices. In total we got a lot of discounts and we got to insure all the cars. It was not the absolute cheapest deal, but it was the best deal for the security and the discounts we received and do continue to receive to this day. Allstate has not been an issue billing wise. There has been a few times I have called to ask a question and its phone tag and some rude customer service agents, which I promptly reported. Other than a neutral customer service experience, Allstate has given me peace of mind and some extra cash in my wallet with all the savings from my multitude of discounts

I had allstate for many years which included several accidents. I had several issues: 1. A rental car was never offered after an accident and adamantly put off indefinately, as if i wasn’t entitled. Even discusssing with an allstate corp rep, no results and wasn’t allowed to talk to a supervisor. So i had to do without transportation indefinately. 2. The agent refused to accept accident information after repeated calls and telling me on one occasion to “just work it out wih the other drivers insurance company”. 3. On one occasion I asked the agent in person if I was being charged a premium for my unlicensed 16 year old and his response was “yes” and offered a $100 credit to my account.
Shortly after I changed insurance companies and cut my premiums by about half, over $600 per year. I have not had allstate auto ins for a few years so they may be doing better but be aware!
I recomment shopping your auto insurance about every 5 years especially if there have been premium increases periodically, no matter what company you currently have.

I love allstate insurance they are always there when I need them. The other day I had to add my wife’s car to our insurance and they worked with me to get the price I want. They gave me multiple options with different levels of coverage to choose from. They took the time to explain the differences in coverage and told me which one they recommend. I also asked about adding a new car because we are in the process of purchasing a car. They explained everything that would need to be done and told me to call at anytime once I was ready. Their customer service was outstanding and I couldn’t be happier.
They are even great when I had a car accident last year. Last year I had a minor fender bender leaving work where someone ran into me from behind. It was a minor accident and there wasn’t much damage to my car but I still had great customer service from allstate they treated it just like it was a serious accident. I called my agent and it answered all my questions and told me exactly what information I needed from the other driver. He even offered to come by to make sure I was okay. After I got everything filed they help me get the estimate for repair and gave me a list of shops to choose from. I got the car fixed and only paid a small deductible.
My insurance didn’t go up because I didn’t have any prior incidents. I love that I always get to deal with the same agent. I would definitely recommend them to family and friends.

They are overall a great company. They provide cards on time and are very pleasant to deal with on the phone. Signing up for the service was a breeze. I would still shop around and use services like progressive to see if they are, in fact, giving you a good rate, but I still believe Allstate wins out due to other qualities. They have some great programs for new drivers and even offered them to me as a longtime customer. First accident forgiveness is great as is vanishing deductible to help with reducing the actual cost of the plan. Their claims service is quick and reliable and I have never had an issue in getting in contact with them.
I would like them to be a little more tech-savvy. It is strange to see esurance as their sister company being highly tech savvy and willing to accept the new way of things, with Allstate somewhat lagging behind. They also need to put up a bigger fight against companies like Progressive and Geico who almost seem to pollute the airways with their non-stop need for cute spokespeople to sell their product. I love the mayhem guy, specifically his bowl spot where they mocked up the fake house of a couple from their social media and then put their stuff up for sale. More of this kind of punchiness is what is really missing from today’s advertising. I want companies to take swings at each other and make me almost root for their product.
Overall, Allstate is an easy, affordable, and prompt car insurance option that just needs some minor tweaks to be recognized as such.

I’ve been an Allstate customer for about two years, and so far they have been very easy to work with. They offered me two methods of payment; paying monthly, or paying every six months. The latter offer came with a discount, meaning that although I pay more at a time, it allows me to pay less overall, so that’s what I accepted. As a result, I’m automatically billed about $450-500 every six months, which feels fairly reasonable to me for the type of auto insurance I’m paying for.
Accessing my information is simple, as I can just log into their website and look at my current policy any time. If I need to change anything, the site, their phone service, and their local office in my town are available to me. Since adopting the policy two years ago, I have yet to be in automobile accident, but I can drive with the peace of mind knowing that if I ever do get into an accident, that my insurance company will have me covered. The people at my local Allstate office in Bossier City, LA are incredibly friendly and willing to assist whenever I need it, and I feel like they value me as a person rather than just a source of their profits.
The bottom line is, with my Allstate insurance policy, I get reliable insurance at a fair price with convenient, friendly customer service. I am more than happy with them, and feel like I made the right choice in seeking them as my insurer.

My family has had Allstate for as long as I can remember. When I got my first car, it was with Allstate, and 8 years later, my current car is still with them. My parents are also still with Allstate. When I got into a single car collision, they made it very easy and seamless for me to make a claim and to receive the money that I needed to get another car. I believe that the amount they gave me when my car was totaled was a very fair amount and it allowed me to buy another similar car off the lot.
When my mother got into a fender bender and was waiting on her car to be repaired, they were able to provide her with a loaner car in the interim within 24hrs. Our payments seem within a fair range and I do not feel that I or my family are over paying. Whenever we do have any issues (such as minor errors in our bill, the mail hasn’t brought the bill on time, or we need to go to the office to make our payments), the office nearest us that we have dealt with for years is always available to hear our problems and concerns and is very accommodating when it comes to solving those issues and “keeping the customer happy”. When I start a family of my own, I will be sticking with Allstate and would definitely recommend this auto insurance company to anyone who is looking for a good reliable auto insurance.

Great Insurance Company and may I say the cost is very good. I was with (safeauto) and the rates never went down I was with them about 3 years. I never had even one claim the time I was with them Alsate gave me a great price less than over $100.00 a month. For 2 cars. The best you can have and very happy.

I am very pleased with my car insurance at the moment. I switched from Geico to Allstate because they gave me a lower rate. I pay every 6 months. They have always been very helpful and whenever I call to discuss my concerns they take my opinions and worries into consideration.
I was looking to save even more money and they offered me to take a defensive driving online course to receive a deduction, so I completed the course and mail them a copy of my certification and they granted me the discount. I have all the basics for this insurance but I also have triple A they always mail me my insurance cards on time. They also gave me some tips on saving money if I pay in at least 6 months in advance and also if I pay them using my bank account versus a credit card.
Tony is my representative and he is very nice, even when he was away on vacation I was able to speak to one of his co-workers regarding some concerns I had about my fees, which for a time were higher than promised and his co-worker worked with me and patiently explained to me step by step instructions I had to do on the website to bring my fees down. So comparing to other auto insurances I think I am getting a great deal with Allstate. I have shopped around at the time I was switching and found Allstate to be the best also because of their customer service.
All in all I am very happy and satisfied with this insurance company and I will recommend them to people who ask me for my opinion.

I have never had a bad experience with this company. I have also heard that my cost for car insurance is one of the cheapest around, which is quite awesome! My sister got into a small accident, however, she had to get a new bumper. Allstate immediately sent someone out to look at it, and she had a rent a car the next day for her to use while hers was in the shop. When something looks questionable on my insurance bill, I call, and with no problem as well as a fast response they answer all of my questions, without making me look dumb.
They also make it easy for payment options, you can either call and now complete it online, which is the easiest and simplest process I have ever used. I have heard from all my others friends that their insurance is complete crap. They have to wait on the phone for hours to just file a claim. They cannot pay their bill online as a convenience that I currently have. Also, I have heard that most insurances rarely give out a rent a car when the car that was damaged is in the shop, which Allstate does. I have given them mostly four to five stars because their service for everything, price, claims, and customer service are beyond any of my expectations for an insurance company.

Allstate is lousy insurance please avoid them like the plague ! They are great at raising your rates on a whim and taking your money monthly but beware if you need them they won’t be there !
I had a very atrocious experience with the claims department they didn’t even want to come out to see the vehicles they told me to send them pictures through my iPod. Then when I insisted they get up and do something for the money I pay monthly they got indignant and let’s say the rest of the ” investigation” did not go to my favor including saying my sons testimony to what happened didn’t count because he was a family member ???? Really????
Anyway do not give them one penny of your money ! I’ve found many list since saying they were number 1 worst insurers not worth it . I would give them no stars if I could!

Allstate car insurance is a great company to be affiliated with. Each Allstate is run by a specific representative or agent, so you call an office directly not an 800-service. Policy renewals, as well as both insurance cards and road assistance cards are received promptly upon renewal. We get phone calls several times a year to check-in and see if there is anything we need help with. I feel valued as an Allstate customer because of this service. We also recently received a quote from them to bundle both our automobile and homeowner’s insurance to see if we would save money. They do seem to be priced slightly higher than other insurance companies, but that little extra is worth it so that we have a specific agent to work with. They also offer discounts such as a safe driver discount and multiple-policy discount. Although we have been lucky enough to not have had to file a claim, I am confident that we would receive great claim service. One of my favorite parts of Allstate insurance is the road-side assistance cards that come automatically with each renewal. I do not have to worry if I get a flat tire or have engine trouble on the road. We have been very satisfied with our service with the company and would recommend them if you are in the market for renters insurance, homeowners insurance, motorcycle insurance, or automobile insurance.

I have Allstate because they offer me the cheapest price but if I could afford to switch I would. They hardly ever answer the phone and when they do, they have to call me back (which they never do). I then have to continuously call and finally break down and go to my agents office to get the info I need. Plus, every person in the office will give you a different answer to the same question.

I have been insured by this same Allstate Office, in Pleasant Hill California for over 20 years. I don’t remember how long exactly. Obviously I have been happy with their service. Price and reliability are both important to me and I have looked at comparisons and found that this company is competitive. The representatives in this office are really helpful in figuring out the best coverage and they helped when my daughters began to drive.
When they began to drive I added them to my policy and have been very happy with the care we have received.
In the past couple of years we have had two problems. One was caused by someone else driving my daughter’s car so this was worked out by them with the other company. In the other instance a Water Company truck backed into me as we were both pulling out it it was judged his fault. The shop where we were sent for repairs was excellent. They were professional, polite, kept me informed, assisted with a rental and it was as good an experience they have helped us handle them with as little problem as they could.
It is very easy to contact an agent in there is a problem. If it is outside office hours you can be connected to a representative immediately or you can leave a message for your agent. They are very good about returning calls.
One daughter is now married and she has moved on to her husband’s policy and the other daughter has married and moved to Reno. The transition to Allstate Nevada was a little bit of a problem as they either don’t have or don’t know how to access the National Data Base. My adviser California helped clear this up and the Nevada office has been great also. They also provide a simple and very affordable roadside emergency service. The only time I have had to use them they gave me advice over the phone that saved me an expensive towing bill. I have in the past bundled this insurance with my homeowners insurance and now that I am a renter in am considering going with their renter’s insurance.

One time I had my car stolen. I called them and told them the situation. I was at the mall and someone stole my keys while I was getting out of my car and threatened me with a gun. I called the police first and then Allstate. The police actually ended up finding the car in less than 2 hours. Allstate handled the situation great. First of all, I was very scared when I called them and was very worried. They told me to relax, which helped me out a lot. Secondly, they told me that they could cover the cost of my stolen car if the police could not find it. Even though the police found the car and I did not have to get a new one, it was nice to know that they had my back and that I could rely on them. They told me that they would help me out no matter what in any situation, and that meant a lot to me! It meant a lot that they were really nice, and they cared about me. They cared about me and did not treat me like I did not matter to them.

Of all the insurance companies that I have had throughout my life, Allstate is by far the best one. To start with, their agents are very friendly and always willing to help. Each time that I have sat down with them to renew my policy, they have done everything possible to get me the best discounts. They even suggested purchasing Renter’s Insurance for my apartment, which actually ended up costing me less than what I was paying before, without the Renter’s Insurance added. They have been proactive in looking for discounts and deals that give us the best possible insurance plan. They also set up easy and convenient payment plans which make it simple to pay your bill each month. There was also a particular situation regarding my wife that they were especially helpful with. My wife and I had just purchased a used automobile and owned it for only about 2 days when my wife smashed the car into the back of someone else. She called the local Insurance Agent (we were out of state at the time) and they took the time to make sure that she felt safe about what happened. Then they proceeded to handle all of the communication with the auto repair shop and, surprisingly, did not raise our insurance rate because of the accident. Needless to say, we were extremely happy with their service! During the whole ordeal, they were friendly, supportive and sincere in helping us through a rough time. I would definitely recommend them to anyone who is interested in low-cost premium insurance, with a kind and welcome staff!|A great insurance company!|

I have used Allstate for over seven years. I have had to use there claim service on three different occasions. If the car was still drivable, they were able to do my damage appraisal within three days from the incident. The claims process was very easy, the associates were very nice and answered all my questions. They even print out the check for the repairs so I have it in my hand when I leave.
As far as the quotes they gave me on the damage cost were very good. I took the car and that check to a repair shop they recommended and it was more then enough to get the repair completed. If your car is not drivable after the accident it takes about a week to get someone out to complete the damage quote, then they will mail your check out to you which does take a little bit longer then if the vehicle was drivable. That’s one of the negative things about Allstate. I have never needed medical bills paid for on any of the accidents I was in so I cant really speak on the rate of service there.
There monthly rates are pretty affordable depending on where you live. When I lived in Pennsylvania, it was pretty cheap but when I moved to Baltimore, my rates increased a lot. They always have different discounts you can get depending on your driving history, age, how long you’ve been with them, student discounts, and if you have your monthly rate taken out of your bank account you get a discount for that. I had them take it out of my account since it is easier that way. I knew what date every month it was supposed to come out of my account and they never took it earlier creating a situation for me of over drafting my account.
I also use them for rental insurance and because I do that I get another discount. They have created a very loyal client over the years. I would recommend that everyone check out this company for your insurance needs.
