It was initially started to meet the new federal requirements of employers to provide worker’s compensation insurance to their employees. In 1917, New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Company added auto insurance to their list of provided coverages.

If every company was run like NjMFG, we’d all be in good shape. They’ve been my ins co for over 20 years and they are exceptional across the board. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

New Jersey Manufactures Ins is the worst insurance carrier I have had
in the 32 years I;ve been driving . They are terrible w/claims and their
staff is terribly rude and not to bright.
As soon as I can I am switching
my car and homeowners insurance for myself, my husband and my
daughters.

New jersey Manufacturers (NJM) is honestly one of the best insurance companies I’ve ever dealt with. Their rates are extremely competitive, and I’ve found them to be the best in the state of New jersey. During the past winter, I was parked in a parking lot during a snow storm and my car was struck by a plow. I called NJM and they were extremely helpful. Within a week my car looked like new again. The incident did not have any impact on my rates as well. Another thing I like about NJM is that they pay out dividend checks. Every year I get a check for about $90 from them because of a clean record. It’s nice to have a little extra spending money. NJM also has a very easy to navigate website. You can pay your bill online using your checking account or a credit card. It’s really very convenient

We have gotten quotes from multiple auto insurance companies, including Geico and Allstate, amongst others. When we compared, New Jersey Manufacturer’s was considerably cheaper, and we saved thousands of dollars with them per year.
We also inquired about additional insurance with them (homeowners) and got a great price. We have maximum coverage New Jersey Manufacturer’s with a maximum deductible and our yearly rate is extremely low. Also, if you have any questions, their customer service is truly unbeatable. They have great hours, and are extremely accommodating.
