Teachers Customer Reviews
Teachers’ Insurance Plan was started in 1992. They specialize in writing auto insurance for active or retired educators. The idea is that teachers are more responsible drivers, thus the company pays out fewer claims and offers lower premiums. Teachers’ is not available in every state.
Teachers’ Insurance is underwritten by Response Insurance. If you have an experience with Teachers’ leave a review – good or bad.

Trying to get meanful customer service help appears to be a problem with this company. The rates are slowing climbing and inquiries about rate increases are poorly answered. Be mindful they sneak increases as premiums come due. They are lacking patience in answering questions and slow to adjust premiums on discounts for pleasure vehicles as well as defensive driving and vehicle gps bilt in locators. Customer service is poor.. Your questions immediately become fodder for a policy increase.,beware

I have been paying premiums on my Teachers Insurance policy for 2 years. This week my daughter was hit by a drunk driver. This is the first time we have had an incident requiring any service from Teacher’s Insurance. I called in to report the claim just hours after the incident and was told that I would hear from my adjuster by Tuesday (No one available over the holiday weekend). I called Tuesday and got a voicemail. I called Wednesday and left another voicemail and left a voicmail on the adjuster’s supervisor’s line as well requesting that I hear back from someone as soon as possible. It has been 4 days since the accident and I have still not heard a word from my representative. The premium is lower than my previous carrier, but I feel I am paying way too much for the service I am NOT receiving.
I am also finding that the representatives in the service department and claims reporting department are unknowledgeable about coverage questions and laws of my state. I am finding out the hard way the value of having a representative in my area who is accessible.
Don’t save a few pennies and sacrifice true coverage.

My experience with Teacher’s Choice has been very positive. Their customer service has always been friendly and prompt. In the seven years that we have dealt with Teacher’s Choice, we have had to file two claims and both were handled quickly and professionally. There has never been any hassle with this insurance company even though it is not as well known as others. The thing I like best about them is that their rates are as low or lower than any other company I received a quote from when I was searching for automobile insurance. I would highly suggest looking into this company if you are looking for a new insurance company.
