I’ve been with Farmers since I got my license, about 23 years now. I’ve had the same agent for the last 10 or 12 years, and he’s the same guy who takes care of my parents also. I’ve never had an accident, so I’ve never had to make any sort of claim. The closest I came to making one was when my car was broken into but since there was no damage to my car, and the things that were stolen were valued at under a few hundred dollars we just let it go rather than make a claim. My agent has been very consistent in finding me and my family the best deals possible and making sure we were paying rock-bottom low rates while getting the normal perks like roadside assistance, etc. Since my record is clean, I’ve always enjoyed rates far below what a lot of my peers pay and I’ve always appreciated that and show it by not shopping around for another agent or company. My agent has always either answered all my questions on the initial phone call or returning my calls with the answers I was looking for within a few hours. He and his secretary have always been incredibly helpful and willing to talk with me about whatever, and are never hard to get a hold of or go missing when I want information. I feel like the agent is part of my family and if he were to retire or leave the business I’d probably feel a little scared about having to deal with someone new who didn’t care as much as this guy obviously does

I have been really pleased with my experience as a Farmer’s customer. Even though I have not experienced any major accidents other than small dents here and there, all that are not my doing, Farmers has been really helpful for any issues that I have had. Their customer service has always been really great and professional. During some of these times that can be frustrating, the associates from Farmers have always made sure to help me out the best and most efficient way they can. I also have never felt like I’ve been misled or deceived as a customer. Even with some incidents that I felt that would surely make my insurance policy more expensive, they always treated me fairly and took into account my track record as a responsible and trustworthy client. I recommend Farmers to all my friends who ask about an insurance company they can trust and be happy about. Their prices and rates are some of the best that I have ever come across. I am really happy that I switched over to Farmers many years ago. I also have friends who have Farmers as well and they have the same great and positive things to say about the company. I don’t see myself switching over to another insurance company in the future. I think that Farmers is a company I am going to stick with for a long time. Farmers is a great company and I hope to continue to be a great customer of theirs

I HAVE BEEN A FARMERS CUSTOMER FOR OVER 20 YEARS AND COMBINE MY HOME INSURANCE WITH MY CAR INSURANCE. I HAVE NOTHING BUT POSITIVE THINGS TO SAY ABOUT THE COMPANY AND MY AGENT. SHE RUNS THE AGENCY AS A FAMILY BUSINESS WITH HER SON AND THEY HAVE BEEN THERE EVERY TIME I HAVE NEEDED THEM. I KNOW THAT I COULD SAVE A LITTLE MONEY WITH OTHER COMPANIES BUT THE PERSONAL SERVICE AND BEING ABLE TO TALK TO A PERSON THAT KNOWS ME AND WILL HELP ME IS WELL WORTH THE EXTRA MONEY I HAVE BEEN PAYING THEM. I INSURE THREE CARS AND THEY HAVE ALWAYS WORKED TO GET ME THE BEST DEAL POSSIBLE. THE WOMAN THAT RUNS THE OFFICE IS ALWAYS THERE TO HELP AND EVERY TIME I HAVE CALLED WITH QUESTIONS OR NEEDED HELP SHE WILL FIND THE RIGHT ANSWER AND GET BACK TO ME QUICKLY. I FEEL LIKE THEY ARE MY FRIENDS IN ADDITION TO MY INSURANCE AGENCY. THERE IS TOO MUCH FOCUS ON THE PRICE YOUR PAY UNTIL YOU NEED HELP. THE LAST CLAIM I HAD WAS PROCESSED QUICKLY AND I GOT THE REPAIRS TO MY CAR DONE AND I WAS TOTALLY SATISFIED WITH THE RESULTS. THE OWNER’S SON CALLED MY AFTER THE REPAIRS WERE FINISHED AND MADE SURE THAT I WAS PLEASED AND THAT EVERYTHING WAS HANDLED EFFICIENTLY. I SEE NO REASON TO SWITCH. I FEEL LIKE A VALUED CUSTOMER AND MY LOYALTY TO THIS AGENCY IS IMPORTANT TO ME.

I’ve been with Farmers Insurance for 17 years, in fact, it’s the only car insurance company I have ever had! They were awesome when I got my driver’s license and helped me find the right coverage when I was just starting out. They have been really good to me these years. A few years into my coverage my car was stolen. It was later found but had been totally stripped down for parts. Farmer’s worked with me the whole time and handled my claim fast. I was in another car in just a few weeks. Just one year after that incident someone rear ended me. I worked again with my Farmer’s agent and they were wonderful once again. There was a huge dispute among the other cars involved in the accident and when I was getting wrongly harassed by another person’s insurance company, Farmer’s handled everything for me. They helped me with my claim every step of the way. Anytime I had a concern or question I knew I could call and get help. Once again I was surprised how fast and painless the process was dealt with. My car ended up being another total loss, and I had the claim check in no time. I honestly love my agent, she always tries to find ways to bring my payments down. I feel like you really are well looked after and they respect long time customers. It’s nice when you call that they know your name and remember you, you don’t feel like a number. I have no intention of switching, they have been a great company to deal with.

Overall I am actually pretty happy with Farmers Insurance. We get discounts for multiple things. We get a discount for having no tickets, for having little kids in car seats, and for having multiple policies through them. We have automatic payments set up which give us another discount. I like that there is a variety of plans that we can chose from to suit our budget and different needs at the time.
I like that our car can have full coverage for about ten dollars more than liability when we were first married we only could afford the liabilty. With the discounts though its totally worth it to have full coverage. When we bought our first car on payments instead of the junker we had been driving, we got set up really easy. After the cars are paid off. We go over the various changes we can make and I have always felt like they were honest and I know that what I hear will be the truth. The people are always friendly and willing to help. I have been with them for years and the one accident I have been in about 15 years ago they were talking to me and listened to me while I was crying. It was a scary time and knowing I could have them deal with things made it alot easier. Now that my older kids will be driving in a few years (I am scared to death). I feel comfortable working with them to know my kids will be covered but we will also be offered the best deal to protect us and them. Not only do we use Farmers, my parents use it, my in laws use it and I have multiple family members that are all using it. I plan on staying with them for a long time and I am pretty confident I won’t be swayed by other competitors.

I have had no problems with Farmer’s over the years. I have been with them for a very long time as they have consistently met my insurance needs. The local office has always been very friendly and has promptly answered any questions that I have went in and asked. They always request a year end review to see if my insurance is up to date and still meets my needs. They always offer a free calender too which is a nice added bonus!
Making payments is easy. You have different options. You can go into the office and make your payment in person. You can also pay your bill online. The online payment system is fast and very easy to use and understand.
I have had to make a few claims over the years. In one instance I was rear ended by someone when I was stopped at a light. Luckily no one was hurt in the accident, and that was the first thing that the agent asked me when I called to report the accident. The claims process went very smoothly. The following day I met with the claims adjuster who examined my car. He was very thorough in assessing any damage. It all took around an hour. When he was finished. He went over the damages with me, and then cut me a check right there while I waited. I was very pleased with the promptness and professionalism. All in all, Farmer’s has been a fair and up front company to deal with.

I have been with Farmers insurance for about 2 years now. Renewal of the policy is very easy. The office is very helpful explaining the different aspects of the policy. They are very prompt returning phone calls. I love that I do not have to go into the office; everything can be done over the phone. They are always courteous and try to find the best option. I feel they tried to find all of the discounts that applied to me. Changing your policy is very easy, even if it is mid-way through. Their online website is very easy to use. It is very easy to navigate and review your current policy. It is very easy to pay your bill. They offered me a much better rate than my previous company. I do hate that my insurance rate goes up by a few dollars every time I renew, but I know that is all insurance companies.
I have only filed one claim to repair a windshield. It was very easy, I had to call a claim line, answered a few questions, and they gave me approval. I had to pay my $100 deductible and the glass company came to my work and repair my windshield there.
Overall, I would give them 4.5 out of 5 stars. They have very good customer service, easy to use website, good prices (at least in my area), and easy claim system (the little that I have used it). My only compliant is the rising cost, but that is every insurance company.

I could not be happier with my insurance. I get a reasonable price, great service, and they help resolve claims quickly. When I was hit by another driver I barely had to do any of the work, the only things I needed to do was answer a few questions over a phone call and they handled the rest. Once they decided that my car was actually totaled by this accident they proceeded to pay me what they thought my car was worth. The amount they gave me was actually more then the amount that I thought, and more then most internet sites thought that my car was worth.
They are great for when I need to renew my service, and when I need new insurance cards, I receive them extremely quickly. They also call me if they have any new sales, or discounts going on throughout the company, or if I suddenly become available for a new discount they handle that by themselves. When I turned 21 I was available for a new discount, and when I called to see if they were aware and to get the discount on my next bill, they already had it in their system and they already had it on the next bill. These among other reasons are why I could not imagine changing my insurance anytime soon. They have treated me great, and I really feel like I am really part of their family, and they treat me as one of their own. I would recommend this company to anyone who needs insurance, including my friends and families.

I currently have Farmers Insurance. I feel very indifferent about this company. I cant say they have done anything for me, except for piece of mind in case I get into a car accident. I make payments hoping I dont ever have to use my car insurance. If I ever do, I will probably get stuck making higher payments. Its because of this is why I dont seek out my agent for anything. Its because of watching out for higher payments is why everyone is so willing to switch to the other guy. Like the airlines, there is no loyality to any company. Who can afford loyality these days when people are losing their homes. How does one feel about any company whose goal in the eyes of the consumer is to avoid using their services.
In my honest opinion, this industry will have to do something drastic in order to change my sentiments from indifferent to positive. Now, if I ever got into a fender bender, and lets say Farmers helped my in some way will probably give this company a superficial positive. But underneath it all, I feel the US auto insurance industry sucks and I am sure I am not the only person that feels this way. And I get that there are tons of false claims and scams that they have to fight off. I get that. What I dont get is that if something happens to you and your car, not your fault lets say, it doesnt matter. Your premiums are going up.

I’ve had a great experience with Farmers. I have tried a few different other companies that included State Farm and Allstate, and Farmers gave me very competitive prices.
What made me very happy with Farmers was this incident where a drunk driver hit my parked car. That driver was uninsured, which made me worry that I wouldn’t be able to have any compensation for my damages, or that it would be very difficult to get any. They ended up coming out and inspecting the damage and the person I talked to was very friendly. I was already impressed by how thorough and detailed they were to make sure that they got everything correct. They wanted to make sure the record had everything perfectly correct, and I appreciated the effort. After a short time, I received a letter letting me know about what would happen. I was happy to find out that they were able to cover the repairs for my car and able to compensate me for the damages.
They would take care of everything on their end, and make sure they pursue any further compensation. I was really happy and surprised that the process had been so short, and that they were able to quickly pay me in order for me to get my repairs done. I had heard nightmare stories about people in similar situations, and was glad that I wouldn’t have a story of my own. I contacted customer service several times to make sure everything was worked out and dealt with, and each time I spoke to them, they were very courteous, friendly, and patient with me. I’m not that knowledgeable when it comes to these matters, and it was great to have someone explain it to me.
It really felt like they were on my side and making sure that their customers were dealt with fairly.

My experience with Farmer’s insurance has been incredible. Though I have never needed to file a claim (thank goodness), the agent with whom I work is a wonderful person. I met her when I was buying homeowners insurance and she worked very hard to make sure my insurance was up to date – when I told her that I was buying a car, she gave me excellent insurance information and advice. I have her personal cell phone number with instructions to call her if I need her for any reason. She makes sure that I’m paying the lowest premium that makes sense for my vehicle, and she works to find me discounts that apply to me. I feel valued and cared for as a customer. I have no doubt that if I ever got in an accident (heaven forbid), she’d be immediately available to take the information and that she would treat me fairly. This very positive experience may vary between Farmer’s agents, but I wholeheartedly recommend them based upon my knowledge of their company. I plan to stay loyal to Farmer’s until they give me reason to switch or I move to an area where there is not a Farmer’s agent – their excellent customer service would even make me willing to pay a little extra money. However, their prices are the best that I have found for any type of insurance. I truly cannot recommend Farmer’s Insurance enough, especially for young people who, like myself, are on a tighter budget than they would like.

My wife and I signed up with Farmers Insurance under the office of Curtis XXXXX after shopping around and finding that Farmers would provide the best price. We provided our information (License number, social, vehicle information, all of the norm.) For over 10 months our rates were not as low as we would have liked but were still lower than any other insurance providers and we were satisfied with their service. This all changed however when we began to receive bills of over double our normal amount of the past 10 months. Although there had been no changes to our policy, driving record, vehicle, nor had any claims, or anything else our bill still had doubled in price without any explanation. We were enrolled in online payments so it the amount was taken out of our checking account every month automatically. (Had we not been paying attention who knows how much we would have ended up paying!) Upon contacting our agent about this continuing over priced bill, a very unprofessional and inadequate woman whom we spoke with on several occasions, tried to assist us. On our third attempt of finding answers from this very “pleasant” women, she conveyed to us that they did not have ANY of our information. No license numbers, no social security numbers, they were not even aware of our driving record (Which was spotless and had nothing on it, but how do you insure someone for 1 whole year without even knowing whom you are insuring or their driving record?!) Upon giving our information to the women for a second time in over a year, they recalculated our cost of insurance with the same coverage, and it went up even more to almost 3 times as much as what we were initially paying. She could not explain the reason behind this outrageous price and even recommended that we cancel our plan as we did immediately. We did thankfully receive a very small refund of less than a 1quarter of a monthly payment upon cancelation. We highly recommend not choosing Farmers Insurance. Good riddens Farmers Insurance!

I had never been in an accident with full coverage before last year. The results that I got from Farmers blew me out of the water. There were a few hiccups but over all I was very impressed. My car rental was already arranged for me the following day without any extra effort from me. My car was towed and taken care of up until the point of it being declared a total loss.
Unfortunately, the one area I was dissatisfied with was the amount of time the assessment took and how long the claim assessors took between appointments. It took weeks, so long that my rental car coverage was a day away from expiring, so that was almost 30 days. It took a great deal of time for the company to just decide the car wasn’t worth fixing anyway. I then took them quite a long time to get me a check for the remaining cost of the car.
However, they get points for the customer service they provided on a more personal level. The assessors were very nice and understanding, even if they were slow. They made sure that I knew what was going on at all points of the process and kept in phone contact regularly. The rest of the time, there are a lot of conveniences that are offered on their website. I can pay my bill, print off the insurance card whenever I need it. There is a full explanation of my services and the stipulations of my claim online too, which is really the most important thing for me, because I hate having the big printed book and not being able to find what I need. With the .pdf files I can use the “find” function to seek out the information I need.

There are four drivers in my household (two 45+ & two under 23 years old). All of us have clean driving records no tickets, accidents, or claims of any kind. I expected higher rates with two younger drivers and wasn’t shock what do you Mischel premium of $280 a month. When my rate increased to $380 a month my agent had no explanation. In June of 2013 I was informed that my rate would increase to $490 per month LOL. After being with the company for 22 months, I had enough! I’m now with a different company and pay $187 per month for the same coverage. I won’t share the name of my new company because the purpose of my story is not to advertise. I hope my story helps someone out there avoid the headache of dealing with farmers insurance.

When researching car insurance quotes and trying to decide what company to go with due to cost, Farmers had a low cost for the same type of insurance that we were holding before we decided to switch. We did switch over but it wasn’t an easy process. We kept being charged for more then what we were quoted. I had to go over the information a total of three times with the agent till she finally understood what was being mismanaged on our account. Overall our experience was good but I was not happy about paying an extra 60 bucks for the first 3 months.

I’ve been a very loyal and happy customer of Farmers Insurance since I bought my first car when I was seventeen years old. I was first brought to Farmers because that was my father’s insurance company and it was extremely easy to just be added to his policy. After I graduated college and no longer could stay on his policy, I decided to stay with Farmers. The comfort of the relationships that I established over the years has been extremely beneficial.
Each time I had to file a claim, it was handled in a very timely and professional manner. I feel blessed to be with an insurance company that is not focus on being the most popular. Farmers is focus on being the best. I love the small things Farmers does to make the customers feel appreciated. Every Christmas I know that I will be receiving a card from my agent.
I truly appreciate how innovative Farmers has been throughout the years to adapt to new technological advances. I downloaded the Farmers app early last year and I love that I can file a claim and make payments right on my Android. I feel the rates has always been extremely fair and competitive.
My agent has always matched ever rate that I received from other companies and beat it by ten percent. I also love the fact that I don’t have to go bankrupt each time I have to pay a deductible. I don’t see myself ever switching auto insurance companies because Farmers has been extremely loyal to me.

I have had Farmers for 26 years! My husband and I have clean driving records. We are a very low risk. We have had several problems with farmers over the years. This is the final straw. My son recently got his permit and the quote we received from Farmers was astronomical! over 4 thousand for 6 mos, it was like 668 a month. The rep said, “I can’t tell you you won’t pay less somewhere else.” After only two calls, turns out I’m already paying at least 68 dollars a month more than the more expensive of the two estimates I received. That’s before adding our teen and after the homeowners discount Farmers is giving us. And the other two companies cover him gratis while he has his permit and will only charge us when he gets his license. I’ll probably still pay less with my son on our policy than I was. And did I mention the customer and claims service was just passable.

I was paying $1007.50 for 6 months with Farmers!! No accidents, no tickets, no nothing… I switched to Geico for $360.50 for 6 months!! Hello Geico, thank you for being fair. Oh, and if you group your cars together with Farmers, they punish you ALL.

It was a beautiful Florida morning. My oldest son had just arrived back from a summer camp trip. He was gone the entire summer. I knew he missed my good cooking. I decided to surprise him with a stack of homemade pancakes, bacon, and cheese egg….when all of a sudden….I heard a loud bang and crash!
I ran outside only to see that my car was not in the driveway as I left it. All of a sudden, I heard my neighbor in front of my home screaming for help! It was my son and oldest daughter. They had crashed my Honda into the front telephone pole on our street. I couldn’t believe it.
Upon arriving to my son’s aid I wasn’t sure what I would do. My son attempted to show my daughter that he had learn how to drive while away in summer camp. Yet, my daughter was behind the car. He accidently ran her over by accident. By that time, the Emergency workers were on the scene. Our neighbors had called the police and an ambulance, I was so thankful. My daughter had to be rushed to the hospital for minor scraps and bruises. My son was so distract, the police decided not to press any charges at all. Thankfully, my daughter was just fine.
After arriving home, I notice my car was parked back into our parkway. I immediately called my insurance company. I was totally honest and told them everything that happened. To my surprise, Farmers Insurance Company repaired my vehicle, didn’t raise my insurance premium, and gave my neighbor a check for her damaged mailbox. Wow, talk about grateful, I am.

Worst experience ever with Farmers, I used to have 21st Century until Farmers bought them out and they were great.
I am in the middle of a claim right now and my car has been siting in the shop for 2 weeks while I pay the rental on it. took over a week to get an email from the Claims agent. I can’t wait to see how bad it will be tomorrow.

I have been with Farmers Insurance for over 20 years. I have had many claims in those 20 years and feel I have always been treated fairly. I have never had a claim with Farmers linger on, they have always been handled fast and efficiently.
I feel I have always been treated as a top priority, even if my claim is only for a chipped windshield. I was hit by a hit and run driver once and I was so upset when I called Farmers that the woman spent most of the conversation making sure I was going to be okay to drive when I got off the phone.
I have had two totaled cars while insured by Farmers. My rates have always remained competitive, even after having my 16 year old daughter on my policy. My daughter had 2 wrecks and a speeding ticket and my rates never changed. I had my car stolen twice during the last 20 years and broken into at least 4 times. When I look back on everything that I have gone through with my cars I can’t believe that farmers has stuck with me and that my rates are still basically the same.
I hear horror stories about insurance companies all of the time. I have also had to deal with other peoples insurance companies that seem so unprofessional and getting them to pay a claim is a long involved process. I always walk away from those situations so thankful to have a great insurance company to stand behind me.
The only negative comment I have is about my agent. He had been my agent for the whole 20 years and he was really poor at following through with weird things like address changes and such. I only kept him because he was a friend from high school, otherwise I would have asked for a new agent. He has since left Farmers and I was assigned a new agent… so far so good!

An individual has many options to choose from when choosing which car insurance company is the right fit for them. Myself I have been fortunate in that I believe I have found a car insurance company that is a perfect fit for me and my car insurance needs. That car insurance company is Farmers insurance.
I have been a member with them for nearly 20 years now. The rates that I pay for my two new cars (full coverage on both) are low and reasonable. A great benefit with this car insurance company is that they have several local offices in the area. I have been able to go directly to them whenever I have a problem or a question. There is no need to call someone in a far off land; they are here locally for you. I live in Killeen, Texas it is by no means a large town but it is not a small town either.
The likelihood of having a car accident due to a bad driver or theft is somewhat likely here. For this reason it is a smart choice to have a company that is on your side. I have found that in the few instances that I have had need of help from Farmers that they have been there for me.
My car has been in 2 minor accidents. Literally in matter of minutes after calling my agent (late at night in both instances) the paperwork began to be filled and arrangements for rental cars made. I was also allowed to choose who I wanted to do the body work. My rates did not go up, and my agent handled all the paperwork for me in both instances.
Another great aspect of being a member with them is the many local and national benefits that come with membership with Farmer’s car insurance. My family and I have taken advantage of the ticket discount for amusement parks many times. I would highly recommend farmers car insurance to any who are seeking car insurance in the Killeen area.

I have been a farmer’s customer since I started driving at 16 (at the time, I didn’t really have a choice since I was in my parents’ insurance). My husband and I moved to another city remained with the same agent (for about 10 years now). For the past 3 years, we have not had good service from her and her staff (is it because we don’t live in Hampton Roads any longer?) I don’t think so. My sister is having the same problems with them. We would call them for policy question, and even if they tell us they would call back, they never do.
Just to give you an idea. I worked as an intern for a major company in Richmond and when I went back to school, I had about $800 in my 401K with the company. I decided to open up a Traditional IRA with Farmer’s to rollover my 401K. When I asked my agent to give me the policy number so I can write a check to put money towards my IRA, she said it never existed! THIS WAS 3 YEARS LATER AFTER I WENT THROUGH THE PAPERWORK. SHE NEVER BOTHERED TO TELL ME THAT THERE WAS NEVER AN IRA ACCOUNT! I wasn’t able to put money towards it since I was still in school and didn’t have the money. I figured, well it’s there and maybe accruing some interest. BUT NO! IT NEVER EXISTED, and they didn’t even bother to tell me that Merrill Lynch never transferred the money.
For auto insurance, our policy recently (Feb. 2013) increased 20% from $172 to $215 for 2 cars! We called their customer service, and they guy told us that they told their agents, but they weren’t required to tell their customers! That is a 20% increased, and you weren’t required to tell your customers?!?!?!?!?
NEEDLESS TO SAY WHEN OUR CONTRACT IS UP ON FEB. 28TH, WE ARE NOT RENEWING IT!!!!
We have been disappointed many times, and increasing it 20% without notification is the last straw that broke the camel’s back!!!

For as long as I can remember, Farmers (and before that 21st Century) always gave me the best coverage for the fairest price. My parents had always had the same insurance for as long as I could remember (and I was on theirs when I first started driving).
They swore up and down that I could get the best coverage through them without spending tons of money. I had to admit that they were right. Time and again I’ve checked to see if any other company could offer me the same package I’ve got at a comparable price (I’m not made out of money either! I just want to make sure we’re all covered and I’m not paying an arm and a leg of a deductible) and EVERY company has come up significantly more money.
When the need has arisen for me to get in touch with them, service has always been incredibly quick. They’ve even been cool about covering really stupid stuff we’ve done, like putting a huge dent in the trunk with the garage door since nobody realized the trunk was still open and the door came crashing down on it. One nice thing I’ve appreciated is that when we’ve had cars go in for service, we get regular emails detailing what’s going on and how much longer the process is going to take. They also keep us posted pretty regularly via email which is nice when I’ve got the time to read it and see what’s going on.
My only niggle would be that there were times I wish they would have been a bit more aggressive about recovering my deductible when it’s been the fault of the other driver. Now mind you, I’ve always gotten SOMETHING back deductible- wise. It’s just that when it’s completely the other person’s fault, nothing really should be coming out of my pocket for their mistake.
Bottom line is this- I really have saved money using Farmer’s versus just about everything else out there on the market, and the service has been nothing short of top notch.

Farmers has been a trusted name in my family since the mid-eighties. There has never been any indecisiveness in my mind about the insurance company I would chose to handle all of my coverage. Since it has been a household name, I’ve continued the legacy of holding home, car and life insurance policies with them.
A few years ago I purchased my first brand new car and I wanted to make sure I had top quality full-coverage at a reasonable rate. I have never been in any car accidents or had any major moving traffic violations, with that said I was able to receive a very competitive rate that fit perfectly in line with my budget. Also, by having home and life policies with them, I enjoy even greater savings and truly welcome the security.
I am very pleased to know that all of my bases are covered and I feel at ease knowing that if anything happens to my property it can be recovered. Since I have not had to use the claims department side, I can not really speak on how the quality of service is there. I really love how I can easily pay my bill on-line through my dashboard and let me tell you, I have misplaced my insurance cards a few times as well so it’s really handy to have a feature to re-print your cards.
The quality of service that I have received from my rep Michael has been top-notch and highly pleasurable, I really appreciate his check-ins with me to make sure everything is going well with my policies. I will be with Farmers for the rest of my life because I do honestly feel like they truly value me and I am not just a customer.

I am fortunate that I have not had to file a claim with my company yet. I know that this can be a hassle. Anyone else that I have talked with who has Farmers for their auto insurance in our area has been extremely happy with their claims service lately.
My agent has been great. She listens and doesn’t try to over-sell me. However, she has been careful to point out when she thinks I might make a mistake or be purchasing too little or the wrong kind of coverage. I appreciate this as it seems more like a consultant-type relationship instead of just a sales-based relationship. Even though her office is several towns away – she has met us where it is convenient for us. That is very helpful too.
The only negative is that they seem to go through a lot of new agents and so people seem to get bounced around a lot. I think I’m lucky since I’ve only had 2 agents, but it sounds like others have had many more. Some of them good and some of them bad. My experience has been good overall. I hope I never need to use my coverage, but I’m confident that it will work the way I expect it to when I need it.

I joined Farmers Insurance Group on accident when I was searching around the web trying to find the best prices for car insurance. I’ve had car insurance through several different companies including Geico, Esurance and Progressive.
In my opinion, Farmers Insurance provides the best coverage at the least expensive prices. Farmers Insurance Group is great in the aspect that it will not raise prices on you year after year. I feel as if many companies just sucker you in on a good price and about a year later you end up paying one hundred to one hundred and fifty dollars more for the same coverage. No one likes a bait and switch.
Another aspect that I like about Farmers Insurance Group is the flexible payment plan. I live from paycheck to paycheck so I can only afford to pay insurance on a monthly basis. With Farmers, I can setup a six month payment plan with out any additional hassle. Where as, some companies will force you to pay the full amount upfront. In addition, I can sign up for an online account where I can make online payments, view my insurance plan and print out the evidence of insurance.
I do know that insurance results may vary on an individual basis but, I would at least recommend trying Farmers to see if it is right for you. I no longer waste my time searching around the web to find the best deal because I am confident I already have the best deal.

I was a fairly happy Farmers customer until I just received my insurance
premium notice on my house and it had gone up over 50% for no reason
on my part what so ever. Oh I got the schpiel that “Oh we had so many claims from tornadoes and hail and so on that we have to pass the cost on to you. That is because they lost money on their investments is the
real reason and so they make long time loyal customers foot their bill.
So, I will not be renewing with them.

I have had farmers insurance for the last ten years on my car and I am really impressed with their service.
At first when I had purchased my car over ten years ago, I did not really know where I was going to go to get my car insurance. I had just decided that I was going to use the same insurance that my mom had. I found out that it was going to be really expensive, so I decided that I would keep looking. One of my friends had farmers insurance and she told me that it was a good company.
I decided that I would investigate more, because I really wanted to get a good insurance company that was going to be cheap but at the same time, I wanted a company that would give good service. I called up an insurance agent, and right away I really liked the fact that the insurance agent was so nice. He was very calm and he explained everything to me, and I really appreciated the way that he talked to me as well. I was able to make a decision about the car insurance, and it was easy to do, because it really seemed like it was going to be the best one for me. I was not only able to get car insurance, but I was also able to get life insurance and renters insurance, and that actually made it all a lot cheaper.
I have locked my keys out of my car on multiple occasions, and they have always found someone to come and open my car right away. Apart from that, I have also had tons of problems with the battery of my car, and also with tires. Each and every time that I called for help with my car they were there on the spot and they gave me all of the help and resources that I needed. I am a very satisfied loyal farmers customer.

I love Farmers, I have had them all my life until the agent did not listen to us and took off rental coverage and we had to pay for our car loss. We switched to AAA and they were great, too. Then my son started working for them as an agent and lowered our Insurance over $1200 a year and I could not be happier. The towing and roadside service is less expensive than AAA and offeres the same coverage, but with unlimited miles and tows for a quarter of the price. You just have to find the right agent, If I was on hold for a long time I would tell me son to take care of it and he would get through to the representatives in less than 5 minutes.

I have had Farmers Insurance for the last ten years, and I have to say that they are really a caring insurance company.
My friend recommended that I go with farmers a long time ago when I got my first car. I had just bought a new car, and I was hoping to be able to find an insurance that was going to be affordable and nice. I was able to find a great insurance with farmers, because they really gave me a great deal. They were the insurance that offered me the best rates out there, and the person that I talked to was really kind. I remember when I first went to meet with my insurance agent, because he was a really nice guy. My insurance agent also set things up so that I could get automatic withdraw, and that really made things convenient as well.
When I first got my car I did not really have that many problems, I would just have to have the insurance come out every once and a while when I locked my keys out of my car, but as time when on I had to use them a lot more. I had a really bad battery in my car, and at the time I lived in Minnesota, so it was a hassle to have my car break down in the middle of the winter. I would call my insurance company and they would always be able to send a tow company over quickly, and they would also called me to check with me to see if I was O.K. At one point in time my transmission went out and I had to have my car towed to my friends house and they came out to do that.
I have had my car insurance for the last ten years, and it has only gotten cheaper and better. I am very happy that my friend gave me the recommendation to go with farmers so long ago, because it really has been a good car insurance for me throughout all this time. I would recommend my insurance to anyone one, because the customer service is great, and so are the rates.

I recently got married so my new wife and I considered merging our car insurance so that we could save money by having a multiple policy discount. I was with a not so well known insurance company and she was with another unfamiliar company. Since we were planning on having our home insured under the same policy as well, we wanted to move to a company with name recognition, good reputation and history.
I’ve used several insurance companies over the years and thus far, I’m quite satisfied with Farmers. Initially when shopping for companies we wanted a company where we could actually work with an agent, not just fill a form out online. My mother had worked work with a particular agent on a professional level and had recommended I see him.
The agent was very friendly and took a lot of time to figure out what we needed. He asked us questions related to our driving habits to make sure we had just the right amount of coverage. He then asked us lifestyle questions in order to qualify us for discounts I didn’t even know existed! At the end of our meeting we ended up with auto, life and home owner’s insurance. With all of the discounts our rate was great. In total we saved nearly $800 a year. It seems like meeting with an agent really paid off!
A few weeks after the original meeting the agent contacted us to make sure that we received our proof of insurance and asked if there were any more questions. We had a few and he answered them quickly, with knowledge. Suffice to say we were very happy with the service we received from the agent. It’s been about 2 years now and we are still with the Farmers. The agent will occasionally send an e-mail just to check in. I really enjoy the online tools Farmers has to keep on top of the policies.
You can even print your proof of insurance card right off the website, no fretting about getting it on time. Since we pay in full every 6 months there are no monthly installment fees which saves at least $60 per year. Paying it online is a breeze. I yet have to file a claim, knock on wood, but would imagine that I would receive good service. I would probably attempt contacting the agent rather than just filing online. If his attention to our claim is as good as his initial service, I’m not worried at all.
Until then I’ll just have to rate claim service four stars. So far, so good with Farmers. I can’t say a negative thing about them. The lesson I learned is to take the time to meet with an agent so they can set you in the right direction. You probably wouldn’t want a doctor to diagnose you online!

A few days ago, I had a most frustrating experience with towing service under the Farmers Insurance towing option. My RV stalled about 8 miles before reaching storage destination and I needed towing service for the last 8 miles to the destination. I was on the phone with the contract agency for over 1/2 hour, to the point where the agent refused to provide service because I could not tell the exact location (mile marker) of the stalled vehicle because it was already dark outside.
When I threatened to cancel all policies (7) with Farmers Insurance the agent continued processing the service call. Because I know most of the reputable towing services in the area I asked for the name of the towing company under contract,. The agent could not give an answer! I was told they would work on this!
Next, I choose an option to receive a call back when towing service would be scheduled to arrive. After 35 minutes with no call back I called the Farmer’s towing agency again to inquire about the towing service call. To my surprise, they could actually locate the service call, but I was told that they were still working on the service call. I told them to cancel the service call and that I would cancel all my Farmers Insurance towing options.
Next, I call the most reputable towing company in the area (under contract for AAA by the way) and within 30 minutes they arrived at the service location given he same information I provided to the Farmers towing agency.
Recommendations:
Short of cancelling all of your Farmers policies, I highly recommend cancelling all of your towing options and pay for towing service on your own ( much better if you have multiple vehicles over the long term) or get coverage under AAA premium service, but make sure AAA contracts with the most reputable towing companies in your area.

The most terrible service I have ever had in my entire life. Couldn’t get ahold of my agent. Took money out of my account even after cancelling policies, creating many overdraft fees, and basically told me I’m out of luck. over 200$ just lost. I wouldn’t recommend this insurance company. By far the worse.

I have been going to Farmers Insurance for 12 years now, or ever since I got my learners permit. They are a great company to deal with and as of the last few years I have one of the best insurance agents ever.
When I was in a car accident a few years ago, I called in to get my claim started it was a good experience or atleast as good as the experience could get. They seemed to really care about me and how I was feeling since the accident. My current insurance agent is amazing he is available in the early morning before I go to work or later into the evening so that way I dont have to always take time off of work to discuss things like this, which makes it much easier in my crazy life.
I do have to say all the Farmers Insurance agents in my area are all good, last time my agent was out of town another agent had no problem stepping in and helping me with the things I needed answered before my agent got back. I will not switch companies, even when I got married last year I made my husband switch companies, he has even said how much better they are then his last company. Thanks for all the hardwork Farmers!!

I have had same auto insurance for over 20 years. My insurance company is Farmers and when my husband and I got married he was using Farmers Insurance.
About 17 years ago when I was pregnant with my son I was involved in 2 accident one in March and one in May. The one in May was alot more serious and I had to go to the hospital. My husband and I were rear ended by a delivery truck. The car was pretty smashed up and I was taken by abulance to the nearest hospital. I remember calling my insurance company and reporting the accident and even though the accident was not my fault. They were very helpfuly and made sure to make all the arrangement with the opposing insurance company. I nevery had to make anymore call.
My insurance company made all the arrangements. The very next day I had a rental car brought to my house and never ever do I remember ever dealing with the opposing insurance company. I kept the rental car until my car was repaired at absolutely no expense to me. And, I realize it wasn’t no my insurance company paying out the money but they helped me every step of the way.

Farmers has been my insurance company since 2002. I initially chose Farmers to insure my car for the simple fact that I lived with my parents and got discounts from being associated with their policies which helped because Farmers is far from inexpensive. My car has full coverage insurance, along with special riders for glass and towing services. In my ten year history, I have never had a problem filing a claim.
My agent, Gary Short, has always been reliable and helpful. In about 2004, my windshield was cracked by a rock thrown by a semi. Living in a state with extreme weather conditions, I was concerned that the crack would grow and become a problem during an in opportune moment. After I returned from my travels, I called Farmers help line. Within days, they sent someone to my work place to replace my windshield.
When the technician arrived, he called to insure that he had the correct vehicle. I walked out to the parking lot and identified my car. That was all he needed to begin working. A short time later he called and asked that I come sign papers stating he had completed the job as assigned. I only had to leave the building for a few minutes and my windshield was fixed. A few years later, an enormous hail storm battered our city.
My car was still drivable and my windshield was in good shape so I decided to wait a little while before filing a claim so that those with serious damage could be helped first. Before long, Farmers contacted me to find out if I had damage. When I affirmed that I did, they made an appointment for me to take my car into a shop to have it checked. It only took a few hours and a concierge car service made sure that I was safely transported to and from work, while they evaluated the damage.
At the end of the day, I picked up my car and was issued a large check (significantly more than expected) minus my deductable. In the interim, I have used my towing insurance 2-3 times each year. If I have a flat tire while in formal wear or locked my keys in my car, a quick call to 1-800-farm-tow and my problems have been resolved. A particularly memorable occasion was during an ice storm. The storm began about the time I needed to leave for work.
The rain was hitting and freezing on every surface, so I went out and started my car turning up defrost as high as it would go while I scraped ice from the other windows. Of course, when I closed the car door, I also locked it. I could not return to my apartment which was also locked. My phone was in my purse inside the locked, running car. I hiked a half mile in the freezing rain and ice to get to the apartment manager’s office. They did not want to give me the key to my apartment or go out in the inclement weather to unlock it for me.
They did allow me to use the phone to call Farmers. Roadside assistance was there by the time I hiked back to my car. He opened my car, helped me retrieve my keys and refuse the offer of a hot beverage because someone else was waiting for his assistance. It is no wonder that when I bought my house I insured with Farmers.

Words can not even come close to describe how much I hate this company!
If this was the one and only auto insurance company in the U.S. I would rather drive without insurance and suffer the consequences then give this underhanded, corrupt company one more cent!
I had a wonderful business relationship with my adjuster until I caught her in numerous lies. I am now being forced to hire an attorney to settle the absolute disaster they have created!

All is Happy till the unfortunate day comes when you actually have an auto accident. I meet in an accident where I was luckily saved, but the oncoming car hit my hood very badly. I reaslised, the car was in no shape to be fixed. It was a 2009 Chevy Model for which I paid $15000.
My Story goes as follows…I come home to file claim online…The farmers site refuses to work and accept my claim…Frustrated, I later call the helpline to file the claim. Cheerfully I was asked to take the vehicle to either Farmers recommended shop or one my choice. I reviewed among choice given and took it to the recommended one. Got a rental too. A week later body shop determines its a Total loss.
Next days, A farmers rep visits the shop to list out damages for appraisal. He latter calls me saying there were few damages but overall its fine..I ask him for report next day and get this pdf file with photos in it.. Most of the pictures were of small tiny marks hardly visible to naked eyes and also of few dirt marks on leg mats and seats. These pretty much looked of marks left by body shop employees. ..2 days latter I get a Market Value Report of My car….Surprise, Surprise… Farmers now deducts $1500 of my cars value due to those dirt marks on mats and the single sopt on seat and also the unvisible marks….
Latter in the report (which was well manipulated by CCC) they have listed 25 vehciles of similar type…50% of the vehciles were of rock bottom prices which were either too far in some depressed towns or non existent in dealers outlet. Avg these low ball prices Farmers now offer me $11K for a 2009 Model vehcile which every dealer in the city is selling for $16,000. Farmers rep then threatens mee too that if I dont accept what the offer, they simple will mail the cheque – Salvage cost…..STAY AWAY. Its a s*****, lousy, unethical, greedy company…sucking away hard working american workers money.

I’ve had Farmer’s Insurance for over 10 years. I thought of switching since I’m an AARP member, but read the horrible reviews about The Hartford and no support from AARP. Farmer’s has always given me excellent service. Claims – proficient and efficient…. absolutely no problems. Customer service was very courteous and helpful. I always thought Farmer’s was on the pricy side, but love the service.

Farmers has insured our family since my husband and I got married. We got our first renters and car insurance from a local agent after doing some research. The agent was just starting out at the time. Since then, we have been with them for over 15 years. We have changed to homeowners insurance and have added 3 more cars to the policy. We have shopped around for better rates a few times, but in the end, Farmers has always covered our property for the best price. We have had a few claims over the years and usually it has been handled well and fairly.
Our original agent has several people working under him, and they are all excellent. We managed to keep our insurance even though we have moved to a town about an hour south of our original location. When we added teenaged drivers to our policy, our rates went way up, however, when we compared with our friends, our rates were about half what most of them were paying. No one was paying less. We are very happy with Farmers Insurance.

I have been using Farmers insurance for past 10 years, and their service was excellent. I am a Korean, and they have 3 Korean speaking staff, 24 hours service. When my car was broke on the highway, I called agent and around 20 minutes later towing truck had came, and I didn’t paid anything. When I engaged insurance they recommended me to engage the service of free towing, and I usually call towing service around 2 times in a year. When I got an accident somebody hit my car from the behind, they recommend me a lawyer to handle it, so I have no trouble with Farmers insurance. I am recommending to my friends anyone who want to engage car insurance, and I engaged House insurance also recently.

I am a member of Farmers Insurance. If you would have asked me a few years ago if I liked my insurance company, I would not be able to give you an answer. It was something I never had needed, and so would rank along with paying taxes or getting a tooth pulled. A necessary evil. But it turns out, they are a wonderful company to be with. When a friend of mine borrowed my car and ended up getting into an accident, Farmers was there to take care of everything. Even when I was sued, they made me feel like everything was going to be okay, and they were true to their word. Farmers Insurance has wonderful agents and I fully recommend them to everyone!

I do not really like this insurance company to be completely honest. I have gotten into 2 crashes in the last year and a half, and because of these 2 incidents my insurance payments have raised more then 5 times the original price. I do not feel that it should have been raised this high, as for one of them they did not have to pay a cent towards fixing my car. They really should try to get an accident forgiveness policy in order so that prices for their insurance do not get out of control like this.
However, before the 2 crashes, I really liked the insurance and the low cost. I originally chose them because the rates were great and they cover a lot of damages to cars, in almost all circumstances, which is rare.

Farmers is absolutely wonderful. I don’t really have much else to say. They give great discounts and have great prices. The one time I got into an accident they took care of everything and my car was good as new. Part of the problem people have is their individual agents; maybe it’s because my agent is so good, but I feel that when you’re buying insurance in the first place you should be able to tell if that person truly understands you and your policy. Great company, five stars all the way.

I absolutely hate Farmers Insurance! I had an agent who barely spoke English, and no one at their 1-800 number would help me. They always said I had to call my agent. I called the 1800 number to find out the cost to add my husband to my policy, and they said I had to call my agent. My agent said we could not add him as a driver of my car because he did not help me buy the car.
When we were rear-ended, it took Farmers 4 days to get my car into the shop. The reason was because they kept forgetting to call the tow company to have it towed to the body shop. My car was totaled as well. The cost to fix my car was 12,000, but it was worth 17,500 so they had it fixed instead. Now the door squeaks, and when I hit 40 mph or more, my car sounds like a plane taking off! Farmers said they restored it to the way it was before the accident, but they didn’t even come close to it. The body shop they made me go to put a big scratch in my paint, and then said they couldn’t prove it was them, so now I have a huge scratch because they refused to fix it. Farmers raised my insurance rate after the accident, and then said all rates went up. They said it was not because of the accident that was not my fault, but because insurance all around the country went up. They said they raised my rate four months prior, but I called as soon as I got the raised bill so they had no idea when and why they raised my rates! I will never work with this company again!
