GEICO Reviews
Insurance Advertising Giant – GEICO Reviews
The Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO) provides car insurance for over 10 million customers. The below GEICO reviews are from some of those customers.
Founded in 1936 by Leo Goodwin, Sr., GEICO began selling auto insurance to federal government employees and their families. Despite having ‘government’ in its name, GEICO has always been a private corporation and has never been affiliated with any federal or state governments. Headquartered in Chevy Chase, Maryland, GEICO sells car insurance in all 50 states. The below GEICO reviews are from nearly all of these states.
Owned by Berkshire Hathaway, GEICO has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years thanks to advertising. Several of their advertising campaigns have become well-known in recent years – most notably the GEICO gecko and cavemen campaigns. As of 2007, GEICO boasted over 13 million insured vehicles with over 11 million policyholders. GEICO is one of top insurers of automobiles in the nation. If you have an experience with GEICO, leave a review – good or bad.

Because I am a young teenage driver, driving a car that requires full coverage, with 1 speeding ticket on file, I have found that Geico offers the cheapest insurance on the market, for an 18 year old male, with 1 violation. Thier customer service is smooth and easy to work with, as I was comparing insurance on 10 different cars at the same time. Very, friendly service, very knowlegable, and very expedient to gain proof of insurance! I would not choose any other insurance company to work with, other than Geico Insurance Company.
They recommended excellent coverage on my car, which makes me feel safer behind the wheel than riding with state minimums, and they explained to me why I needed to increase my protection rates, to better cover myself and the person that I might collide with. They also offer the best military discount on the market, which saved me hundreds of dollars on my premium that comes due every 6 months!
They even were able to work with me, because I had bought insurance on a car that I could not buy, I was able to transfer the refund off of the previous insurance to a new policy, and pay the difference with ease, instead of having to wait on a check in the mail, which saved me from an abundance of headaches and worries. When I did call Geico, I was never on hold for more than twenty minutes at a time, and most of the wait was to talk to a representative from my state, in which case, it seemed to me that since my state has a low population, there were few agents, in which case, I had to wait for one to become available.
The only downside to Geico, and this comes from living in a low populated area, is the lack of a brick and mortar office. I would like to have an agent I can go in to talk to, rather than take care of my business over the phone, or through their online website. I previously had Progressive insurance, then I sold the car, and went to basic training, for the Air Force however I have found out that I would have saved an abundance of money on my premiums had I purchased Geico sooner. Again, my issue with the lack of a live agent, does not apply to everyone, since I live in North Dakota, close to the Canadian Border, where the population in my town might be at most 40,000 people.
However, nonetheless, the telephone agents, and the easy to use website, that offers free, accurate quotes (In the many policies I quoted, I never saw a discrepancy between the quote and the final price), that take at most 10 minutes or so. The advertisements accurately stated “So Easy a Caveman can do it.” And I agree wholeheartedly

I have had GEICO for over eight years with no problems until I turned 65. Having lived in California when I first purchased my policy, the rates for full coverage were fair and equitable. After leaving California, I dropped full coverage due to my vehicle, a PT Cruiser, being paid off. New Mexico GEICO
Issued me a policy for Liability only and my premium was about 118 dollars for 6 months.
After about a year, I moved to northern Nevada . Several months after my 65th birthday GEICO sent me a bill for $145.00. Concerned, I called their service center and was told that my increase was due to age and that all of my discounts had been cancelled…including my military discount. I protested both verbally and online but to no avail. A subsequent call revealed that my premium had been increased even more…to 158.60. Reluctantly I sent the payment in only to discover by e-mail that 56.00 more had been added and that my premium was now over 260 dollars for Liability insurance alone. With no accidents and an excellent driving record, I am amazed by GEICO’s insensitivity towards a long time customer…especially in these bad economic times. I do NOT recommend GEICO if you are nearing age 65. Considering that our age group ( 65+) are the fastest growing segment of the population, it appears we are going to have to muster some sort of defense against companies like GEICO. For now though, I am contacting lawyers and insurance regulators to investigate this matter while shopping for a more reasonable and honest insurance company. WARNING SENIORS>>>USE GEICO AT YOUR OWN RISK AND WITH EXTREME CAUTION

I had OK experience with Geico for 8-10 years. I recently made some changes to my policy and was trying to get some information from customer service for a “one time fee” that they wanted to charge me for when the policy renewed … even though I had paid the “one time fee” previously. When I told them please do not renew until I had obtained other quotes and had more information on the “one time fee”. I received a letter of “I’m sorry we are unable to insure you.”
Question the billing and dropped like a hot potato (no new accident or tickets…always paid premium on time). Seems a bit shady and I would not do business with a company that doesn’t like to be questioned when they are in the wrong.

I purchased a policy with GEICO last year. I decided to cancel it the same day because I found from another insurance carrier a better and more reasonable quote.
Practically I only had coverage with GEICO for a day and no more than that. I didn’t know if it would be possible to pay only for that day or just cancel it. The transaction that that was on my bank from them was very confusing and hard to understand. I couldn’t understand it because there was one canceled transaction but there was another transaction that didn’t show until Monday morning.
I called GEICO to let them know what had happened then a sales representative told me how to fax a copy of my bank statement where it showed the second transaction that was debit to my account. He said that he was going to care of this problem but I was going to get an overdraft fee if it was applicable. The next day I did what the representative had instructed me to do.
Later to my surprise I found out that GEICO can’t do anything on weekends. And also that its accounts receivable who issues refunds most likely won’t issue refunds. They wanted me to wait until my check cleared or got rejected and they also wanted me to pay any fees they had accumulated for me or wait until Monday to speak to someone in other state and also to probably wait another week or more for a refund to be issued to me.
This is the first time I encounter a company that suppose to be dependable and big that has no customer service skilled employees and that can’t help customers in time of need. I’m glad that I didn’t stay with GEICO and was lucky to search for other insurance companies. If I had stayed with GEICO most likely I would’ve had a lot of problems. The relationship was very bad from the beginning. I believe that the first impression is the most important to do business with a company. I’m very happy I’m with another auto insurance company.
If I ever have to change auto insurance company, I will never even bother to look into GEICO. I believe that if they gave me a hard time just for canceling and clearing the transactions in the bank and giving me a refund; I know that I wouldn’t have very good customer service if something major would happened like a car accident claim. I definitely don’t recommend GEICO.

I have been with Geico for several years and they have the best rate available to me, hands-down. I have done a lot of insurance shopping and because I have two traffic violations over the last ten years, the other companies in my area have hiked up my price to double or more of what I am paying at Geico. Geico is the best that I have seen with my monthly and bi-yearly policy payments.
I would definitely recommend them to others. I use their online services so I rarely need to speak to a representative, but when I have, they have been nothing but helpful. They are a great company to get insurance through.
Best Insurance Company To Get, Hands-Down.

It really grieves me that my insurance rate has gone up from around $340/6 mos. to $404/6 mos. while my mileage has gone down to 7000 miles /year.I’m nearing my 60th birthday and for absolute minimun coverage and over 15 years of ticketless driving this co, of Warren Buffet wants a near 20 percent increase in premiums. This is OUTRAGEOUS!
As a former house painter who has found it increasingly difficult to find any work(and working less than part time at a foundry for $9/hr -12 hrs/ week avg.) .taking another $60 + out of my pocket amounts to over $10 more /month that I just don’t have!
Does Warren Buffet need this extra money more than I can afford losing it?.

i been with all state for 3 years and I was happy with the customer service over there. This years I switch to geico, that was the worst things i did in my life. Cause i had a car acciedent in 11/03/2011 when i call geico and set up the claim i had to wait 2 weeks top get answer from them and i was the one who call them, they never call and ask about any things . In the end they said that there was no way to find out who was wrong in the accident, so i have to fix my car, they will not pay nothing the reason why cause the auther guy that i had the accident with is a geico customer too, like that geico will not pay from my damage and his damage they will keep the money the only things they do make the company happy and save money not the customer that are paying the company.

Up until about 1 year ago, I was with Allstate for 18 years plus. In doing an annual review of our household finance it jumped out at me that we were paying almost $9,000 in insurance annually for our home, three cars and a boat. After calling my agent and exploring other options, GEICO was clearly a significantly less expensive choice.
I first reaction was that service could not be nearly as good as it was in dealing directly with my Allstate agent for all those years. So I talked to friends and family that were with GEICO and they had very favorable reports. In fact many of the review were extremely favorable especially pertaining to service and responsiveness.
I talked to my Allstate agent and he found $450 in annual savings that he could offer, which was nowhere near the $3,800 we saved by moving over to GEICO. In addition, we have better coverage and additional services that were not even offered at Allstate. All in all it was a great money saving move.|

I live in AL and was hit in the front end of my 94 volvo wagon by some uninsured pickup truck driver who slammed his truck into reverse and crashed into me. This was in Nov ’10 and I am still waiting for the settlement from geico regarding my hospital bills for myself and my son. I repaired my car out of my own pocket and await at least some recompensation from this insurance company. I’m getting very frustrated.

They price gouge their most loyal customers.
I was with them for almost 15 years and my premium kept increasing even though there was no new “activity”.
I went elsewhere and saved a bundle.

Geico sucks. Somebody covered by Geico hit my parked car and totaled it last night. Today they said they would give me a rental care but the rental car agnecy wants $300 deposit. I said no way. Geico already admitted it was their client’s fault, I will not pay a dime in deposit or time. I plan to take them to court now, I can wait it out, they already admitted fault and now a judge will award me far more than their ridiculous offer.

I rarely leave reviews, but had to let people know about my experience…I was rear-ended in my raggedy ole’ Camaro about two weeks ago…the other gals’ fault, not mine. My car was 17 years old and I figured the likelihood of me getting much for it was slim. I did get basically what it was worth, Matt Dunn, who was my appraiser, was awesome! He was very prompt for our appointment, worked quickly, was very professional and friendly, and when it was time to pick up my check, I got a full on repeat of my first appointment experience again. You don’t hear often good things about an insurance company, and certainly not a fast payout. My experience was extremely positive and I’ll be sticking with Geico as long as I’m driving. So far I’ve been with them a few years…and am more than satisfied with their rates, and now more than ever…their service! Thanks Matt!

Geico refuses to refund me remaining balance I used to own a car insured with Geico, and I sold my car in Jan 2011. when I called Geico to cancel my policy, and since they deducted the money in advance, they owed me a remaining balance. I have never received the check of the remaining balance until March 2011, they claimed that they sent it twice to an address that is different from the my address on file (I do not really know why would they do so ) so I asked them to send it again and confirmed the address to them. however, 2 weeks later, I purchased another car, so I called them to insure the new car, this time they asked me if I was married,
(Fact: I am engaged and planning the wedding next June 2011) so I gave them my future wife’s name, and was shocked that they added her to my insurance policy, a week later, I got the check of the remaining balance in both my name and my future wife’s name on it. the bank refused to cash the check as it is not in my name alone. I tried to explain to Geico that my future wife has never been to the US, and she has no Social Security number, but they still insisted that they cannot send me a check in my name alone, they want her to send them a paper from overseas authorizing them to give me my money back.
FACT 1: I paid this money from my own credit card account, and I was single then
FACT 2: they tried to send the money to wrong addresses with my name alone on it
FACT 3: having a new policy with her name on it, make the new check in both names instead of my name alone, although they were sending it before in my name alone
I asked them to refund the money to the card, and they also refused. they are using my money all these months, and refusing to give it back to me, and I do not understand why I should beg for my own money.
I did not ask for my wife’s name to be on the policy, and they keep telling me that they want to protect her rights.. excuse me… but that was my money, and I was single when I paid it, now they want proofs??!!!!! why did not they ask for proofs when they added her name too? why is it always easy to take money, but hard to return it??? I believe that if they wanted proof that I am still not married, they should have asked for a proof that I was married the first time! if they asked for that then they would have understood that I was not married.. they just want to keep this money with them the longest period they can, so they can make money of me.
I have been very loyal customer with them, paying always in advance, and never got any ticket or been into any accident before!

Geico was excellent until my wife had to place a claim in. Customer Service was outstanding during the entire process but when it was time for the policy renewal, forget about it. We new the rates were going up of coarse but they jacked it up that we will feel it for generations. I placed multiple homes on and an umbrella policy to get a discount but it became pretty much worthless. I wife called one day and they don’t have our policy #’s for our other homes. She told them to check the umbrella policy and they could not find it, sounded dumb founded.
The moral of the story is they are excellent until you have a little mishap. Then they will take it out on your wallet with a vengence!!

I just signed up for Geico Insurance a few days ago. Pricewise I found that it is great! I have been with Allstate for years and have had a terrible experience with them raising my rates and not giving me a good explanation as to why. When shopping around for a new insurance company for my new car I looked at several insurance providers including Progressive who say their prices are the best. Let me just say right now they were outrageous! When messing around with my rates the only way I could get a decent price was to take full coverage off, and obviously with a new car I need full coverage!
When I got to Geico’s website I found that it was the very very best price for all kinds of GREAT services! My original quote with full coverage was $54.99. I added a few things onto it such as if my car is in the shop for over 24 hours it is included in my insurance to get a rental car, so now my insurance only costs $68.69 on top of a few other great add ons. All in all so far this insurance company actually does offer the GREAT low rates that it advertises for along with great discounts. I would recommend it to any of my friends shopping for new insurance. The only thing that I would say I do not love is the amount of emails I receive from them on a nearly daily basis. But the price is right, so I can’t complain.

TOTAL RIPOFF!!!
They keep taking money out of my account whenever they want. It’s a cheap policy, but not when they keep taking money out of my account without authorization. And then they jack up the price by a hundred dollars more and don’t even tell me about it first. DON’T EVER GIVE THEM YOUR ACCOUNT INFORMATION!!!! If you live in West Virginia, don’t get Geico. They charge you a whole lot more because they don’t have a branch here and rely on statistics to give you a quote.

I bought a brand new car January of 2008 and had Geico Insurance insure it. I kept up my car payments & insurance payments until someone stole my car on March 4, 2009. Geico Insurance and the police could not find out who stole my car after investigating for a solid year, during which time Geico Insurance would not pay the finance company that held the loan on my car. So Geico Insurance ruined my credit by not paying the finance company for the loss of my car.
To top that, after a year of looking for someone to blame for stealing my car so Geico Insurance wouldn’t have to pay for my car, they still were unable to find anybody so they prosecuted me for stealing my car!!!!! Of course the case was dropped for lack of evidence because I DIDN’T STEAL MY CAR, but to this date two years later Geico Insurance has still not paid the finance company for the loss of my car!! Now, even though the case was dropped, that is still on my record and is found every time my fingerprints are ran because of the kind of job I have. Geico Insurance has messed up my life a lot worse than I have the space here to tell you so, I’m just going to say this.
Whatever you do, DO NOT GET GEICO INSURANCE, you pay them for insurance and then when they are supposed to pay, they try to send YOU TO JAIL and never pay for your car!!!

I have done a lot of shopping around trying to save money on my car insurance. For the same policy, GEICO’s prices are BY FAR the best I have encountered. Their service is also good. You can always reach someone when you need them. The website is easy to maneuver – you can model changes to your policy and see how it will impact your price. The only claim that I had to submit through GEICO was a glass claim for a new windshield. The process was very easy (entirely online) and my new windshield was installed within days at my convenience. The claim was taken care of quickly and easily. Overall I am happy to be with GEICO but I will continue to shopr around every time my policy renews.

Geico does the job. We have had our car insured with Geico for the last 5 years now, after we were sucked in by the advertising. However, I have nothing but the highest praise for them.
In the 3 years in which we didn’t make a claim, they offered a good and increasing discount each year for not making a claim. Last year when we got burgled, they were very friendly and helpful, and we received a very generous payout in less than two months.
We do pay more than average for our yearly premium, but the safety of mind that Geico provides is absolutely worth it. The call center staff are very calm and always on hand to answer any queries; we’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes for our call to be answered.

Geico is a stable insurance company that I have been dealing with for over 3 years now. I am not a big fan of insurance in general, and I only purchase it when I absolutely need it.
That said I have been happy with Geico, their service is prompt and the people I talk to are always friendly. Each time that I needed assistance with things like changing my plan, or making inquiries I was taken care of very quickly, while the representative I spoke with was also quite helping.
My questions were answered accurately, not ambiguously. I have never had to make a claim thus far with Geico, but I have a feeling that If I did, I would have no problem. The deductible that I would need to pay could be lower, but I am generally happy with my coverage.
This may sound silly, but the reason I decided to switch to Geico in the first place was because I saw their advertisements on television, with the little Gecko. I can say that most of the representatives at Geico are just as charming as that little Gecko, I am pleased to have Geico as my insurance provider, and I have no plans to switch anytime soon.
The insurance industry is far from perfect, but having Geico in it makes it a bit better. The only reason that I might ever consider switching companies is to get a better rate.

I do not recommend Geico insurance. I have had a clean driving record since I have been a custome with Geico for the past 5 years. I have always paided my bills on time. I moved to a new city and had my car broken into. I had a $2000 built in gps and they did not cover anything that was stolen or the window that was broken. They never disclosed the information I needed to know about paying extra for non factory parts that were installed. I am no longer a customer with them and do not reccommend them to anyone.

anyone that has had a traumatic brain injury through the fault of a Geico insured driver and not yet received payment, please contact local and federal law enforcement. I am not an attorney or law enforcement. I am simply an individual that has had their life financially and medically changed for ever and Geico has yet to pay me a dollar. someday insurance companies will actually be held accountable for their actions and/or inaction.that will never happen until people stand up for their rights.I am tired of hearing people complain about this and that related to an insurance company. involving law enforcement when appropriate is alot more productive then complaining to the company taking advantage of your situation.

Overall, the experience has been positive. The ability to secure coverage was very easy. I simply called the 800 toll free number and spoke with an operator. While on the telephone, the operator was able to look up all of the necessary information about the vehicles, driving history, accident history, and was able to immediately issue coverage. The only drawback I felt was present was the cost associated with the coverage. While the commericals promote how Geico’s costs for coverage are lower than anyone else’s, I am not completely confident about this claim. Also, a big plus was the ability to obtain a discount if you allow Geico to do an electronic transfer of funds from you checking account. This was great as it does prevent missing a payment and having to go through the inconvenience of sending out a monthly payment or remembering to make the monthly payment.

I have used Geico for YEARS and have never had a problem with them. 2 years ago my I wrecked my SUV and made a mess. We had an estimate within a few days and a rental car as soon as it happened. They were WONDERFUL!Everyone we talked to was very knowledgeable and always polite. I have lived in 3 different states so far and excellent service with all of our moves.
Last night I took my father to the ER and left the lights on in the truck. I called Geico and they had someone at the hospital within 30 minutes to jump us off. I would definitely recommended Geico to all who read this review and their prices are usually the lowest too. Im glad to be with this company and will stay with them as long as their services stay high quality and great.
They are WONDERFUL!!

WATCH OUT! GEICO IS UNFAIR TO SENIOR CITIZENS.
Geico it has been a great cruise for 49 years, but now because of unfair premium raises I will have to leave you.
Here is the history of the last two years 6 Months premiums for 2 cars to show what I mean.
Mar 2008 $692.50
Aug 2008 $719.90
Mar 2009 $808.90 March 31 I was 75
Aug 2009 $1055.10 August 10 my wife was 75
Now this retired sailor will have to sail to a lower price insurance harbor $671.94 for the same coverage. A savings of $583.16. I also will receive a discount on my house insurance.
Geico does not want us to mention the other company insurance name. I wonder why that is??

We selected GEICO after our previous insurer raised our rates to a usurious level. Through the years, they have been exceedingly easy to deal with, always provided the service we paid for, and went out of their way to insure that we were recompensed (including a refund of our deductible) by another insurance company when that company’s insured driver hit my daughter’s car one fall morning.

Geico has great customer service. They also have a good roadside assistance policy. The roadside policy is cheap and both times I have used it, they had a quick response and Geico picked up the bills. Geico is not like a lot of insurance companies these days. They don’t charge you to make payments. You can make them by phone, mail, internet or direct debit. I had an accident that was not my fault. Geico paid to have my car towed and had a rep out the next day to assess damages and I had a check for my totaled car in 3 days. My insurance premium didn’t go up!

I switched from Liberty to Geico. Geico gave us a very good rate for a two car family in upstate NY. We had no accidents or tickets. Frankly we found Liberty was raising the premiums for no reason. Then when we did actually have to make a claim because of an incident they were difficult to deal with. Geico has been a pleasure. We have had two glass claims due to trucks spitting up rocks. In both instances they worked with us to get a local company to switch it out the next day at my office. Premiums are low. They have online access.

To be honest I have heard a lot of horror stories other people about GEICO not paying for repairs, medical, lost wages, and etc. However my experience has been somewhat different. I was in an auto accident in 2007 and have had no problems with them other than some phone tag hear and there. There service has been good, and I always get a response with in at the most 24 hours (if not sooner) when I send an email to the adjuster there. My bills have medical bills have been paid fairly promptly.
If I had to pick one problem with them is that being out of work the lost wage checks are slow to come. They only come once a month and the date varies a little due to how long it takes them to approve a payment. But overall I have been very happy with GEICO’s service to me.

Before switching to GEICO, I had heard stories that once you get in an accident they drop you. Well, four accidents later and I am still with them. This is the only auto carrier we have reported accidents to. I can not compare accident reporting with other carriers. However, I can not imagine the service being any better. We have reported four accidents but only two resulted in payouts. The accidents were more fender benders but still there was a payout of over $500.
I like that rates were not increased significantly and that the accident reporting was easy. This is more important than cost. Accidents will happen and that is the whole point of buying insurance. Moreover, an insurance company should make paying for the insurance just as easy as reporting a claim. GEICO has done that. For that reason I am staying with GEICO.

My auto insurance company doesn’t exceed my expectations. They are not very capable and their customer service is horrible. I have been given incorrect information before. I just got information from a competing insurance company, All-State, that showed that they could offer me a lower rate. I have been with Geico for a very long time yet they have never showed me any appreciation or any sort of discount which I feel would be appropriate. In a time when more people are money and spending conscious I believe the company will lose customers by not being a good overall value. I believe that Geico is a well-known company so it should be no surprise that they have lots of customers but they don’t offer much in discounts like AAA does. I think that they should.

My auto insurance company is GEICO. Although, they may have started as a Government Employees’ Insurance Company, they are now privately owned however keep the same name. I switched to GEICO about 3 years ago when my rates from my previous auto insurance company (Palisades) went way up.
When I first called GEICO for a free rate quote, I was amazed that they were willing to give me coverage for LESS than half the price Palisades was trying to charge me. I dropped Palisades in a heartbeat and accepted the quote GEICO gave me (which was about $750/year not including collision). Since I have a perfect driving record, I never had to file a claim with GEICO.
However, once some one else hit me and I still told GEICO about it just so they realized that the other driver was already reported to be at fault. GEICO was very understanding and promised not to increase my rates. They lived up to their promise and they actually have been lowering my rates every six months, due to my perfect driving record. So, all I can say is that I recommend GEICO to anyone who is a good/safe driver. You WILL save money with GEICO. I DO know that they will raise your rates quite a bit IF you’re reported to be at fault for causing an accident. But, safe drivers, you don’t need to worry about that.

I’ve been a GEICO customer for about two years now. At the time I had to look for cheaper insurance because my oldest daughter got her driver’s license. Staying with my old insurance company would have almost tripled my insurance premium. I looked online and eventually came across GEICO. Of all the quotes that I received, GEICO beat them all by far.
In fact, with my daughter, a brand new driver, they were cheaper than my previous insurance company. If I had only known before that GEICO was cheaper. Within a year of becoming a GEICO customer, my daughter had an accident and totaled our car. Luckily, noone was injured. The way GEICO handled everything was nothing short of amazing. The whole process from getting the car towed to having it appraised and getting the check was done in one week. No hassles, no delays. And the best thing: my premium didn’t go up one bit.

I switched back and forth with Geico several times. I never had any issues or claims so far but everytime I went with them I noticed that to get you they will quote very low price and and ones you are with them they will start charging. One time I was paying 4 times more than what I actually should be paying and I only found by switching (was paying 1400 for one car instead of 350). Recently I thought I will try them again, so I went with them when the quoted me less again. But within 6 months with no reason(no accidents, no tickets, absolutely nothing) they increased by $25. When I asked them they said its increased for everybody in your state. 🙂 I was thinking I should get discount for good records. Overall it looks like they are behind money all the time.

Anytime I had questions I was able to call and get fast, friend;y service. When I was involved in an accident, they assisted me with what steps to follow. When it came time to rent a car because of the accident they assisted with the paperwork I requested. I have never had an issue that could not be resolved either through the web, a call to an automated person, or a live customer service representative. When I have needed I.D. cards I was hesitant to do the automated selection because I speak very softly. To my amazement it sent the information I requested and I did not have to constantly repeat myself. Also what I enjoy is the competitive pricing they have to offer. If someone is lower when you inquire about the policy they will inform you. This is the cheapest I have found versus other major companies.

So far my experience with gieco has been great. Not only did they save me $400 on just a 6 month policy but they were very understanding when I had been a victim of fraud and let me make a payment a few days late while I got caught up without reproductions. Thank you Geico for being reliable and extremely affordable.I Love receiving my renewal policy in my email and seeing that it has gone down yet again without having to do anything!
Pros: Saving Money
Cons: None Yet

I have been insured with Geico since I purchased my very first car back in 1972. That’s 26 years with one insurer. Although I’ve been offered deals with other insurance companies, I feel very comfortable with Geico, since they have always been extremely professional in their dealings with me. During my time with Geico, I’ve had one car stolen (it was subsequently found), one minor fender-bender (my fault) and damage after my car was struck by a hit-and-run driver. Each time I called their toll-free claims number, I received excellent customer service and a quick and speedy resolution. Their Internet-based customer service has taken their client support to a whole new level and I am now able to do almost anything online with regard to my policy. I’ve been wooed by other companies, but my premiums with Geico are fair and I feel very secure knowing that they will be there to support me if and when I need them.

I’ve been a satisfied Geico customer for 12 years, for several reasons. Their prices are rock bottom and finances charges more than reasonable. Payments are easy to make by phone, computer, or mail. When I bought two cars in six weeks, they even gave me extra time to pay the adjustment, when I asked for it.
Twice I’ve had people file claims against me that shouldn’t have been filed. Geico refused to pay on both of them, and my rates didn’t change. The people I’ve talked to over the years have always been very helpful and polite. I can’t imagine having a better experience with an insurance company, and I really do tell my friends about Geico every chance I get!

I’ve been approached a lot of times about switching car insurance, and I don’t think I ever will. I’m just too happy with GEICO. It may be that I can get it cheaper somewhere else, but I doubt. What matters to me though is that I’ve been in three accidents with my car, and GEICO handled every one of them perfectly. From calling a tow truck, to sending an adjuster, to paying for it I’ve never had a glitch, dispute, or headache. Getting an expensive rental car through them was easy. All three accidents were someone else’s fault, and they resolved the case with the other auto insurance and returned my $500 deductible quickly. I don’t generally have faith in big companies like GEICO to really follow through on their promises, but they are one of the three I do trust. (American Express and Land’s End are the others, if you’re curious.)

I’ve had this policy with GEICO for the past year. I was shopping around for a cheaper premium and they had the best rate for the coverage I needed. So far I haven’t had a problem, and the customer service has been great –
I’ve had to call them a couple of times when I locked my keys in the car (yeah, I know, I KNOW, I’ve heard it all already) and they were very efficient and didn’t laugh too much! No, really, they were totally professional and didn’t make me feel like an idiot. And the lock-out service is free with a small additional premium (which I obviously need to continue!) so no complaints there either. I also like the fact that I can make policy changes and pay my bill online – it so convenient. Other than the lock-out service, I haven’t had a claim, so I don’t know how their service rates in that area, but from what I’ve seen I’m sure it’s just as good as their competition.
All in all, I see no reason to switch, so I’ll stick with GEICO. And the gecko is cute.

I signed up with GEICO when I got off my parents’ insurance policy. They were really cheap, easy to use, and friendly. For only $96.00 every six months, I’m insured with GEICO for my Dodge Neon. I signed up online, but you can sign up on the phone. Their online quote and signup process is really easy. I got a quote and then went back a few days later and signed up after I had made up my mind. I got quotes from a number of insurance companies and GEICO was the cheapest. Other companies lure you in with one-time sign-up discounts and other sly maneuvers that don’t show the actual price you’ll have to pay, but GEICO is very honest and upfront with their pricing. I opted to have my documents mailed to me and to fill them out and mail them back, which was easy. You can also do everything online if you prefer.

GEICO provided excellent, hassle-free service for me after an accident that was my fault. They were quick to settle any outstanding claims and covered the cost replacement of the other party’s vehicle as well as my own. They also provided legal representation in a civil suit that was filed shortly after at no cost to me. In fact, they recommended an excellent attorney who was able sift through all the legal mess and found the financial responsibilities did not exceed my policy limits. In addition, they gave me an overwhelming sense of ease through the process that I would not be forgotten about and they would see the claim through to settlement. Although a very large company, I feel they treated me very well from beginning to end of the ordeal.

I have had nothing but a positive experience with this insurance company! When I was first looking for car insurance, I asked GEICO for a quote. They did not try to sell me insurance I didn’t need; they were honest in what I would and wouldn’t need in my plan. They also gave me numerous discounts, including a discount because my parents also used GEICO. They were by far the cheapest insurance company I could find, yet they still provide the same amount of coverage as the other companies I checked out. Customer service is friendly and helpful.

The biggest benefit to having Geico is the price compared to other insurance companies. Also Gieco is convenient in that you can access information online and print off insurance cards to avoid waiting for them in the mail. However there is no personal services so if you enjoy talking with an agent or being able to ask in depth questions this is not the best way to go. If you get into an accident the people you talk to on the phone are not helpful in getting you what you need.
Geico also doesn’t cover all types of insurance so if you need renters insurance you have to jump through several hoops in order to get that accomplished. Overall Gieco is fast and convenient as long as you don’t need renters insurance or get in an accident.

Geico has been my automobile insurance company for the past eight years. During this time, I have submitted two claims for coverage.
One claim was from a collision with a deer, where my SUV was damaged extensively. I was happy with the care and consideration that the GEICO claims representative gave me over the phone. She seemed very concerned with my well-being, and once I had assured her that I was not hurt, she gave me a detailed explanation of the claims process. Everything was handled promptly and professionally, and within days I had the check in hand.
The other claim that I had was much smaller, and like the first claim, was resolved quickly. I chose GEICO as my insurance company because their rates were the best, I will remain a customer because their customer service can’t be beat. Also, in a time where more and more companies are going overseas for their customer service, it’s nice to deal with a company who doesn’t outsource!

Geico has worked pretty well for me. I initially wanted monthly payments, which they don’t offer, so I make payments every other month or so. Beyond that strangeness service has been very good. Their 800 number is 24/7, able to do claims or changes to your policy at any time. Small stuff, but since I’m awake more during the graveyard hours I liked having the option.

I have been with GEICO for more than five years and have had a very good experience with them. I originally signed up with GEICO when I moved from OH to FL. As you may be aware, rates in FL are astronomical. The insurance company I used in OH quoted me triple what I was paying in OH. I went online, found GEICO and requested a quote online. Not only was the rate less than I anticipated, I was able to buy the policy online. A few days after getting the quote, I had a question and needed to speak to a representative. I was a little worried that since I bought the policy online, I wouldn’t get good service over the phone. I was wrong – I have since called and emailed GEICO several questions over the years and have always received prompt and courteous service. Another plus for GEICO is that they were “green” when many companies were not. I’ve had paperless statements and policies for years with them.
