Insurance Advertising Giant – GEICO Reviews
The Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO) provides car insurance for over 10 million customers. The below GEICO reviews are from some of those customers.
Founded in 1936 by Leo Goodwin, Sr., GEICO began selling auto insurance to federal government employees and their families. Headquartered in Chevy Chase, Maryland, GEICO sells car insurance in all 50 states. The below GEICO reviews are from nearly all of these states.
Owned by Berkshire Hathaway, GEICO has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years thanks to advertising. Several of their advertising campaigns have become well-known in recent years – most notably the GEICO gecko and cavemen campaigns. As of 2007, GEICO boasted over 13 million insured vehicles with over 11 million policyholders. GEICO is one of top insurers of automobiles in the nation. Geico is my auro insurance company. It is by far the best insurance that I’ve seen in terms of car insurance. They have the best customer service and they cover everything in accidents. A few years ago, when I was a reckless teenager, I was driving drunk and totaled my car. Geico completely covered the cost of the car and I was able to purchase a new car promptly (I needed it quickly because I go to a University and live in an area where having a car is a must-have because of the lack of public transportation).
Out of all the auto insurance companies that I’ve researched and spoken to, Geico has given me the best rates and has the lowest costs. Another instance where Geico has proven to be the best was when I was hit by an old woman from the back and she thought it was a good idea to sue me. She tried to sue me for 100k saying that I injured her neck (although there was no proof of doing so), she said it was because I used my brakes too quickly. Geico settled and paid for all of it and without Geico, I would be in huge amounts of debt. Geico should be looked at by everyone as a first choice when it comes to auto insurance. I will likely stay with Geico as long as I have a car. It is simply the best and has awesome customer service, unlike any other.

I originally switched to GEICO back in 2010 when I moved to Milwaukee Wisconsin, because my old insurance company could not cover me out of state (I was moving from California), so like anyone else would be, I was skeptical at first of this new company that was claiming to ave me 15% or more in 15 minutes or less. Being skeptical like I was, I didn’t get the most coverage I could because I always thought I was a good driver, no traffic tickets ever and have yet to be in an accident. I was pleasantly surprised by their customer service. Every time I called they were more than helpful. I don’t know if it was the branch that I dealt with or this is just how their customer service reps are, but it was a great feeling. I truly feeling like I was cared for by GEICO, as compared to my old insurance company where I barely interacted with them at all. Well fast forward to 2013 and I am moving out of Wisconsin for personal reasons, it turns out I discovered I was double covered by my old insurance company the entire time! In explaining this to GEICO, without me even mentioning it, they said they would reimburse me all the money I paid for 3 years while I was insured with GEICO because there was no reason for me to be double insured. This made me so happy and it was nice to get that fact check right before I moved.

Gieco is great. They provide wonderful customer service and have always been a pleasure to work with.
I recently was in an accident, and their prompt response to the claim submitted was amazing. The claim adjuster showed up at the tow yard within twenty four hours and provided an estimate before the auto shop was able to look at the suspension. Once the car was brought to the auto body shop, the owner was able to review the suspension damage. He called the claim adjuster right away and they issued a new estimate on what needed to be fixed. The entire experience was great. I’ve heard rumors of certain insurance companies forcing their customers to take the car to one of their locations to cheap out on the replacement parts. Gieco was not the case. They were open to my request to take it the place of my liking (someone I have known for a long time and will get the job done right the first time). My car was a 2008 Volkswagen GTI, so as you can imagine, the parts are not cheap.
Gieco has been calling me and updating me as to the progress of the claim and progress of the work being performed.
I will never leave Gieco, ever. I will recommend them to anyone who asks me. Although I could probably find a cheaper option for an insurance carrier, I will stay with Gieco as they have provided excellent service. They also provide our renters insurance, which is great as well.

I’ve had GEICO (liability as well as comprehensive and collision) for a few years and through two accidents. The phone app where you can submit your claim is easy to use and I had a rental car the next day. Through the process of getting my car repaired, they were polite whenever I spoke with them. There was some confusion about who was at fault in the accident and they told me they would take care of it – and they did! My rate didn’t go up and I didn’t lose any of my discounts. I’m a huge fan of GEICO and don’t plan on switching companies anytime soon.
I’ve had to go back and forth between paying monthly and every six months and have never had a problem logging into my account online and getting that changed. I’ve even added and removed cars in less than a minute using the GEICO website. I call in once during every renewal period and ask if there are any extra discounts I could be qualifying for. There may not be a new discount every time, but they take their time and check every time. The politeness of the phone operators cannot be overstated. I don’t dread calling them like I did my last company.
I would recommend getting a quote from GEICO because I still think switching to them was one of the best financial decisions I’ve made and the piece of mind knowing if I get in an accident they’ll be there for me is worth my loyalty.

I don’t really have a bad review of my auto insurance company or even a good review. What I have to say is about insurance companies in general.
A lot of times you are paying a lot of money every month for auto insurance and then when you get into a wreck, the insurance company says nope we won’t pay for that because of blah. Then why do I need to have insurance if the auto insurance companies hate paying out claims that they should absolutely be paying out. I have never had any of these experiences, but I have heard about them from friends, colleagues, and family. Insurance companies let it be auto, home, or health. They are taking our money but not covering us for what we need to be covered for. I hope it will change, but I very doubt it.
I will say though, because here in Arizona we can get what is called Safety Glass coverage, that if there is a crack in the windshield, we can get it replaced for free. I believe that this should be everywhere. Glass should not be cracked or broken and should be covered by insurance companies especially if it inhibits our ability to drive safely on the roads. That is why we are giving them so much money every month so that we can get things replaced after they are damaged, is it not?
I also believe that auto insurances should not base rates off of age, credit score, or the color of a vehicle. I believe that everybody, no matter what age, should be being charged the same exact rate.

GEICO is my car insurance company. I would have to say my experience with them has been nothing short of stellar. It all started with the quote. I always thought those commercials on how much people saved on car insurance was exaggerated but I did save $340 per year by switching to GEICO. I even posted it on Facebook about my savings which I rarely do. This was great as I had just purchased a new car and more insurance coverage was required than my last car. I was so happy that I didn’t feel the sting of higher insurance plus the car payment.
I loved how everything is available over the internet. I could download the temporary insurance card I needed and get everything online like payments and more. I could even use my Smartphone. I am on the go a lot so that was helpful. My last insurance company was not this high tech. You could do NOTHING online at all. I also had an issue with making a payment. I was switching careers and needed to change my payment dates to be more in line with my new income source. They were so pleasant over the phone and made the adjustment easy.
All companies can have issues as no one is perfect. I do not expect it but I was have to say GEICO has been a perfect experience for me all around. It’s like they truly considered what the smoothest process is for the customers and provide it with great options. Over the years car insurance has been a slight nuisance to say the least. Now it is just one less thing to worry about as a tough task. It is now a breeze.

Geico is the insurance company our family uses to insure two of our vehicles. We have had Geico insurance for several years and are very satisfied with the company. One instance of their great service comes to mind right away.
A couple of years ago, my husband went to the store to buy some hamburgers for our dinner. On the way back he noticed smoke coming out from under his hood. When he pulled over and opened the hood, fire came out from one side of the engine. He backed away and called 911. The fire department showed up right away and put out the fire. We then called our car insurance company representative at Geico. As the car was my husband’s primary mode of transportation to get to his job, Geico was on the case right away. They paid for him to have a rental car while they did some investigative work as to what may have caused the fire. My husband had paid to have a new battery installed by our local car repair place. Apparently the car mechanic had not put the wires on the battery properly and it had caused the fire.
Within seven days, Geico had finished the investigation, sent us a check for the replacement cost of our vehicle and closed the case. The cherry on top, was that Geico did not raise our rate as we had not caused the problem. That made us very satisfied customers.
As a side note, Geico now also gives my h usband a discount for taking an online mature drivers course. We really like our auto insurance company and would not change companies.

GEICO has a customer service staff that goes above and beyond to get the job done right. I have had to use their roadside assistance multiple times. Each time they have helped me determine where I was located and helped find a towing company that would be there to assist me within a reasonable amount of time. They even provided follow up phone calls afterward to make sure I had received the assistance that I needed.
Though I have not been in a accident in the four years that I have been insured with them, they have given me the confidence to say that I know they would be by my side if that were to happen. I was in an auto accident when I was previously insured with Progressive and I found their agents to be quite condescending and unhelpful. The representatives at GEICO have never shown a shred of that type of behavior.
I once had to file a glass claim and they found a company that would work with my ever changing work schedule to ensure my windshield could be replaced in a timely manner. I would highly recommend to GEICO to anyone that was seeking an insurance company. Their rates are lower than any other company I have used in the past. They have flexible pay options as well as auto pay discounts.
They also have other wonderful discounts available such as multi-car and safe driver. I would not hesitate to give them a 5 star rating in each of the following categories: Price, Service, Claims and Overall.

My wife and I decided to look for better rates of car insurance and Geico was our choice due to rates and good comments from other customers online. We had service for 2 months when I received an email accusing us of having another person in my household that was of driving age and giving me 30 days to add him or they were just going to add him to the premium themselves! We did have a 19 year old who moved out at 18 and never changed his license but now lives 6 hours away from us and haven’t even seen in almost a year! We thought this to just be an oversight and contacted them to get this peacefully resolved. The person who initially signed us up said that it was just a misunderstanding and that he would be removed only to see it reappear in 2 days! My wife called them and they said that we must send them his current address with a letter showing his lease agreement notarized and up to date! Needless to say we dropped them like a fly. If they would do this….what was next. Geico….Instead of getting more of my hard earned income dishonorably…you now lost my premium forever. BTW- We have not had an accident in over 10 years!

I have been using Geico auto insurance for two years now and have had a good experience with them. Before I was with Geico I went with a local provider and I remember they scoffed when I told them I was switching to Geico because it was cheaper. “Just wait until something happens” he said, “Then you’ll see what the cheapness gets you.” I rolled the dice and decided that saving 600 dollars a year was worth the risk as I had never had an accident in my life.
Then the obviously inevitable happened and I was in an accident with another driver. I thought to myself how maybe the other insurance agents dire warning would come true, but, to the contrary, the service I received was above and beyond. They knew that the accident wasn’t my fault and thought that the other driver’s insurance company was moving too slow so they gave me 3500 dollars to fix my car and took the other company to court over it. I was amazed with how simple and easy the process was and was glad I switched.

I have been insured through Geico for two years now and it has been great. The initial set up was easy, The initial phase was done online and then when I called up to confirm the details the agent made sure to walk me through all my choices as well as to offer me alternatives to the selections that I had made.
The main thing I liked was that these were not always more expensive alternatives and so I felt like the agent was truly trying to save me money unlike other companies which always seem to be trying to add stuff on the bill. When I bought a new car half way through he policy they made it easy to switch over and I drove away from the dealers happy that I was covered. On one occasion money was very tight and I had to call to push back the payment but again there was no problem doing this and no fees unlike some other companies.
One thing that I don’t like about the company is the fact they send out a lot of letters, each month it seems I receive a new paper card in the mail and a letter telling me how cheap it would be if I added home insurance etc. Although I have not had to claim on my insurance yet I believe it would be an easy process with Geico as I know people who have claimed and it was straight forward for them. Overall they are a great company to be with and easy to work with.

So far, I have really liked being with Geico. My wife and I both have car insurance through them and they have never given us any trouble. What I like about them is that their website is easy to get around on. They are also easy to talk to and speak English when you call them. It’s nice to get someone on the phone that you can actually understand.
I also like that you can change how you make your payments. If you want to make one full payment or break it up into smaller monthly payments you can and write there on their website. I have had coverage with Geico for about eight years now and I do not see any reason why I would change. I cannot imagine an easier company to use and I can also not imagine another company with customer service as friendly as Geicos has been.
When my son starts driving we are going to put him under our insurance through Geico. Hopefully when he is older and takes out his own insurance he will stick with this company as well. They have been easy to use and friendly all these years and I really don’t see that changing over the next couple of years.
When I have had to make a claim, Geico made it very easy for me to get the money that I needed to fix the dent in my car that someone else caused. I want to thank Geico for all of their help the past eight years and for all the years to come.

I like their convenience. I can change my policy and make payments online. Also, I once misplaced my insurance cards, and I was able to print them out from their website. Very nice! I also appreciate their tolerance. I forgot to pay once and was two days past the due date when I remembered! I went online, and although there was a message saying I was “scheduled for cancellation”, as soon as I paid, I was assured that there would be no cancellation, and given a big smile from the gecko. 😉 They are friendly, and very responsive. I had a cracked windshield once, and they sent someone to my job, and replaced it right in the parking lot. Nice folks.

Honestly, I chose GEICO a couple of years ago because I had just purchased a car and needed insurance immediately – GEICO was the first insurance company I thought of (their commercials are so memorable!). Getting insurance with GEICO was incredibly easy. I was able to set up everything online with no issues, and was quickly able to navigate the different types of coverage and choose which one I needed. I love that they let you print out your insurance cards immediately from the Internet instead of forcing you to wait for one to come in the mail.
The few times I have had to call customer service with a question, a representative has been readily available and eager to help. I’ve never had a bad experience with anyone to whom I’ve spoken at GEICO. At one point, I had to switch my car’s registration over to another state, and they were very helpful during that process.
I also had an incident where I had to have my windshield replaced, and GEICO made that extremely easy as well. Through working with them and the glass company, I was able to have my windshield replaced while my car was parked at work with no additional cost to me. The only complaint I have about GEICO is the rates. My insurance has gone up about ten dollars since I signed up with GEICO about two years ago. I’m under in my late twenties, so maybe that’s why, but I’ve also never been in an accident or had a speeding ticket. The only time I’ve actually used my coverage was to get my windshield replaced.
I feel like I do pay a bit too much for car insurance compared to other people I know, but I’ve gotten comfortable with GEICO and I’m not sure I want to switch at this point. All in all, my experience with GEICO has been positive, and as long as the rates are right, I would encourage others to sign up with them.

I just had this happen and wrote this email today to/with Geico.
I saw the claim person today, I understand that insurance companies have to deal with a lot of fraudulent claims. And in my circumstance I understand I forgot to include a major detail that happened after the first accident. Because not only was there a lot of things going through my mind to keep me from thinking properly, but I just wanted to get my vehicle off the road before it got hit again. But I found it absolutely offensive when I was told, that the claim person felt I made up a hit and run story to claim hit and run. Had he talked to my manager, my manager would have confirmed after the accident happened I told him I only had liability and was going to have to repair the damages myself, even if I had full coverage I don’t trust you or any other insurance company to take care of any of your drivers.
I know you people have not received any messages from me about payout or vehicle repair, because after I was even called by Geico and informed that the other thing I had on my insurance covered hit and run, I knew since I forgot to inform the police about it I was going to have to pay for it own of my own pocket still, and I HAD NO PROBLEM WITH THAT until this basically said I was lying. Is this what I should expect? Do the right thing, report the accident, get messed up in a another accident and be told, your a liar, the second accident was made up? I don’t know what part about “I didn’t file the claim right away, instead I got online to find out how much it was going to cost ME to repair this vehicle, since I thought I was only paying for liability” he did not understand. I have never been so utterly insulted in my life.

i have been insured by geico for about 5 years. the premium is the lowest i can find for monthly payments. (do yourself a favor and dont get stuck paying this way… save up the money and save some money on payments.) geico is really well streamlined for ease of use online. very simple and user friendly, with the ability to tailor your policy to your needs, you can check out all the options before you purchase. i had to file a claim after a really rough accident in ’08. the process was simple, my adjustor was competent, and always returned my calls and the settlement was paid out in a timely manner. i did have one issue that came to light during the aftermath of my accident. i didnt realize that uninsured coverage also meant UNDER insured coverage. the girl that hit me was capped at 50k for bodily injury and i had 10k on my policy, my medical bills were more than 60k. if i had understood that $30/mth meant id be covered if someone is under insured, i wouldve saved about 20k. do yourself a favor and never waive the uninsured motorist coverage. after my accident i was afraid id have problems with geico, but i didnt, they are always there when ive needed them and all is well with my coverage. i decided to take a shot and go w/ progressive last year. totally unpleasant experience. i was back w/ geico b4 the progressive policy was 2mths old. just didnt like progressive. do yourself a favor if you like ease of service and good follow thru (not to mention affordability), give geico a test drive. it handles well.

I love Geico. Every type of interaction I’ve had with this company has been amazing. Setting up an account was super easy, their website is really easy to use! All I had to do was put in a little bit of info and it told me how much my monthly payments would be and how much I was covered for.
Another thing I really like about Geico is their customer service, OMG. When I was first doing my car shopping, and I had finally found the car that I wanted, I called Geico and talked to one of their representatives. She was super sweet and patient, and she even called me back the next day whenever I signed the paperworks to my new car to make sure that I wouldn’t be driving it anywhere uninsured 🙂 I also asked if they work on commission, and she said no. I feel like this takes a great deal of stress off of the representatives shoulders, so whenever I was just calling to get a quote, she wasn’t pressuring me into buying anything at that very second. I love that! She also went over everything in the policy with me and explained everything really well because I’m actually quite clueless when it comes to insurance lol. The price is pretty good! I pay $111 a month for full coverage, I’m pretty pleased with this, seeing as how I got a few quotes from some other places, and none were that low.
Billing is also really really simple too. They withdraw the amount from my account every month, they even send a reminder text/email to make sure that it doesn’t come as a surprise! OVERALL: Service is great, website is great, price is great. I would recommend them to anybody.

I had been with the same insurance company for several years. After several rate increases and no claims I decided to check around to other companies. I am glad that I did. I did a online quote for GEICO and I liked it. It was so low I actually called in and talked to a live agent. I signed up that night. I have never looked back.
I have great service and customer support anytime I need it. They have a great application that I keep on my smartphone. I can also log in to my account anytime day or night. After I changed vehicles it was easy to go online and switch from the old vehicle to the new one. I was even able to go online and add my wife and her car to my policy when I got married. It was fast and easy. I did this without ever having to talk to a person.
Then each month they send me friendly reminders of when my payment will be withdrawn from my bank account. In the event that I need extra time, I can log in to my online account or mobile phone application and postpone my payment for up to 10 days. This is 10 days and no questions asked. And there isn’t a lot of rate increases.
After 2 years and no claims, my policy actually went down in price. Overall I have to say that I am impressed with GEICO and that I believe they are the best insurance company in the world.

I had a very good experience with Geico when I got into a wreck that involved me hitting a deer. I crested over a hill on my road that I lived on and there were more than 10 deer standing in the road. I slammed on my brakes but I could not avoid hitting one deer and when I did it pushed my front quarter panel into my tire causing it to blow and me to fishtail, losing all control over my car. My car was totaled as I hit a bridge and then rolled down an embankment and into a creek.
I was concerned since obviously we cannot sue a deer for the damage how everything would pan out. My car was towed that night to my driveway which was less than a quarter mile away and the insurance company told me an adjuster would come out to view the vehicle. It did take just about a week for the adjuster to show up but he kept in constant contact with me during his absence and let me know when he would be available.
Once there he quickly assessed the damages and thanks to an Act of God clause in my insurance I was able to be fully reimbursed the amount of the vehicle and then some considering I had gotten a great deal on the car.
The best part about the whole situation is that my insurance rates did not rise due to this incident. I was expecting since I had been paid so much that my rates would at least go up some but they remained where they were because the company realizes that mistakes happen and no matter what sometimes they cannot be prevented.

Honestly, I love GEICO auto insurance. First of all, their price on the type of comprehensive auto insurance we got could not be beat, especially when you take the package deals (Renter’s insurance, etc).
When I initially purchased the plan, the customer service agent was very prompt and upfront about any costs and fees. She went out of her way, even taking an extra half an hour to make sure I got any discounts I could! She quizzed me down, even checking to see if I was a member of any obscure professional organizations which could get me a discount (I was!). All in all, I wound up paying at least 15% less per month than any other insurance policy I could find. The great customer service does not stop while looking to purchase either.
While I have not had an accident with GEICO so far, up until this point their customer service has been absolutely top notch. In the first few months I had them, I had accidentally given them the wrong account number to debit from, making my first payment extremely late. Their customer service rep was extremely approachable and did everything she could to help me right the situation. I never felt attack, or treated like less for missing the payment. At the end of the day, no excess fines were charged, and it took only fifteen minutes to get everything in working order. Another month, I had swapped payment methods yet again, and I got double billed. It took me only minutes to resolve the situation, and I got a refund in under a business day. If their customer service thus far is any indication, I’ll be in good hands if I finally get into an accident!

My auto insurance is Geico.
I had an accident about 2 months ago and I subsequently contacted Geico as soon as I returned home as I did not have my ID card with me. I explained the situation to the customer service representative and I provided her with all the details regarding the accident. She asked if I had time to discuss the accident so she can file a report. I informed her that I had time and she took all the details related to the accident. The customer service representative was very nice, helpful, and cognizant to the fact that I just had an accident.
She did not pressure me to answer all the questions and allowed me to express my anger not directed to her but to the accident that just happened. I asked her If I needed to contact the other party but she informed me that she will take care of it and contact the other party herself and that I did not have to do anything. She then requested for the phone number of the other party and asked me if there is anything else that she can help me with. She was very cordial, respectful, and courteous. She then informed me that she will be referring me to a case worker who would be handling my case. I thanked her for his great customer service and hung up.
I proceeded to contact the case worker who also asked me for the details of the accident and informed me to contact her with any concerns regarding the accident. She was also very courteous and advised me to bring my child, who was also in the car with me, to the doctor’s office as his neck hurt right after the accident. She was very knowledgeable when she explained the claims process. She also explained and provided me with my insurance benefits which I would not have known if not for her great explanation.
In conclusion, the customer service representative and case worker at Geico are two of the best representatives that I have dealt with. They reflect the values that Geico promises to give to its’ clients.

Geico insurance has my vote anytime. This company cares about its customers. I have two cars with full-coverage at a dynamite price. I have been in business with them for over 10 years and believe me, when you have a proven decade of good customer service, it can leave a positive impression.
For starters, I had a windshield problem with a slight crack. Through a company that was contracted with Geico, it cost me zero. That crack was smoothed down and my windshield looked, almost, as good as new. Another incident was when one of our cars got vandalized with paint. We called the Geico representative and they responded in a quick manner. Through a dealership that was contracted with them, they washed the paint away and by the end of the day, we had our car back. No extra cost and our premiums were not raised. Now that is good service in my opinion.
Another advantage of being with Geico was the savings on the towing. We were with AAA and, although, that company is a super company, we were being charged a big yearly amount. With Geico, we got towing included and saved a bundle. You can truly save with Geico.
Last, but not least, was when we got a new car. They made the process easy with no problems at all. The rep was courteous and helpful and it only took, maybe, a good 10 minutes. When we looked at our statement, the premium were, slightly, higher but still at a reasonable rate. Me and my wife are very happy with Geico and have no complaints.

I have had a relatively positive experience with Geico. I would say that my rating of the company on a scale of (1-10) would be an eight.
I share a car with my younger brother. My brother got into an accident about a week ago and now the car is completely repaired within the span of just one week. Geico provided me with a loaner/ temporary car which in my opinion was a much nicer and spacious car than my damaged Toyota Corolla. On top of my brother crashing the car after rolling a stop sign, my sister dinged up the car in many places. Although these scratches and dents had nothing to do with the accident, Geico repaired these dings much to my delight.
My only critism of GEICO’s services would be that they are not the best with customer service on their phone lines. I was left waiting to speak with a representative for what I felt was much to long while trying to figure out how I would go about paying for the insurance. Other than this bump in the road I was happy
Overall with GEICO’s services and the practical price of an auto repair for a bumper buster. I was very frustrated that my brother got himself into an accident only a few months after driving the car into a pole. Also to address their famous line that 5 minutes will get you a quote on car insurance is actually true which is a pleasant surprise. Maybe their efficiency online is why their phone service is so lacking.

I’ve had only the most positive experience with Geico, my auto insurer for about 7 years. I initially chose them after getting several quotes and they were about $50 cheaper after they identified several discounts I qualified for. The customer service agents are always so nice and seem like they actually enjoy their job and best of all it’s easy to actually get a real person on the phone.
Several years back I lent my car to a friend while I was on a two week vacation across the country. One day into the vacation I found out my friend had hit a deer while driving. She was fine, but the car had extensive front end damage. I thought I was going to have to cut my vacation short and hop on a plane back home, but the representative at Geico helped take care of everything. He got the car towed to a nearby garage where it could be evaluated by an adjuster and the work was quickly approved. I even could go online and see photos of the damage.
The best part was it was ready to pick up when I arrived home and honestly it was like nothing even happened. It could have been a huge nightmare, but it wasn’t and I became a GEICO customer for life

Geico is amazing because I really did save 15% on my auto insurance by calling Geico. Like, exactly 15%. And I’ve shopped around because I am the cheapest person alive.
I’ve used their roadside assistance, because I often need to be assisted when I am by the side of the road. During the hurricane that occurred where I live I called up Geico because my car got destroyed and wouldn’t work. They were quick to assist even with all the other customers they had to deal with. I was beyond impressed. The customer service is excellent and I never have to wait long to get in touch with them.
Before GEICO, I have been hopping between Progressive, Erie, State Farm and Travelers since 2005 when I first owned my car. Throughout the years, I have had a few accidents. My experiences with the above mentioned companies are the same – You feel like you’re talking to someone that actually wants to do their job. What’s worth mentioning is that about 6 months ago, I had an incident when my car was parked in the city and someone rear-ended my car. They left a pretty nasty dent and multiple scratches on various area from the other cars license plate. The owner of that car never left a note and I didn’t feel like waiting for them to show up, so I decided to take some pictures with my smart phone to record the license plate# as well as the damage.
Later that night, I filed a claim with GEICO for this incident. They took the extra effort to traced down the other owner for me by searching for its VIN# based on the license plate number I took. They then contacted me within 2 days and not just setting up appointments for repairs but also rental service as well. I dropped off my car at the shop that morning and everything was ready for me. I was in and out in may be like 25 minutes?

Sure, the television spots are silly. Forget about that for now. Ignore the screaming pig and the British gecko. Pretend the caveman went extinct.
GEICO is a solid insurance provider that lives up to its word. Three years ago, I was very unhappy with my previous insurance company. I’d just bought a new car and figured it was as good a time as any to jump ship and try another company. I started filling out the online application. Things went smoothly and easily. It only took minutes to get through all but the last finishing touches. It would have, anyway, if the page hadn’t crashed on my laptop.
I’ll be honest. I was ready to think the worst of the company: For all of about five minutes. Their customer service number was easy to find. The telephone wait was so remarkably short that I remember it years later. The representative taking my call was quick and competent and had everything sorted out in no time. The service impressed me enough that when I opted for renter’s insurance I went right back to GEICO for that as well.
To sweeten the deal even more, Their rates on both my car and renter’s insurance are some of the best deals I found. I’ll be sticking with them and doing my best to ignore whatever their next new gag will be.

Geico is my second company that I have ever tried insuring with. They are AMAZING. GOOD- Customer Service: Fantastic. Every time I have called up there, I have gotten nothing but pleasant, knowledgeable and helpful representatives (that speak very clearly). When I first started the policy, the first rep I had spoken to took time out of her day to call me back (the next day) as soon as I got the papers signed on my new car.
I personally thought this was kind of odd, and thought maybe the reps work on some sort of commission. Well, it turns out, none of them work on commission. I cant tell you how nice that is. They don’t hound you, or harass you, or force you to make decisions on the spot when you get a new quote. Also, the reps were very patient. I had so many questions to ask them, and they answered all of them perfectly.
Convenience: A lot of companies require that you start the policy a full 24 hours before, Geico did not. I told them that I was purchasing my first car and that I was only getting a quote at first to see how much it would be. They actually started my policy the same day that I signed the papers, which is great considering that you cant drive a car off the lot without it being covered.
Pricing: Superb. Since I am financing my vehicle, it is mandatory to have full coverage. Everywhere else I have checked has been at least $183 dollars a month!
BAD- I seriously have nothing bad to say about this company. I am more than satisfied with everything they have to offer. I will most certainly recommend to my family and friends

When I first got married my husband said that he wanted me to join his insurance policy with his insurance company. I was a little reluctant at first because I loved my insurance agent so much. I did not know what to do until he told me just to try his company for at least a six month period. I gave in, I figured if I did not like the company than we could go back to my old agent.
Four months into the six month trial period, I got into a pretty bad car accident. I was hit from behind and I was pretty shaken up as my air bag went off. I was hit so hard from behind that when my air bag deployed, my nose actually broke from the impact. While I am glad that the air bag saved my life, I ended up having to have a few different surgeries with a plastic surgeon in order to have my nose reconstructed. It was very scary to be in such a terrible accident.
When I called Geico to report the accident from the scene they wanted to make sure that I was okay, and told me to call them after I went to the hospital to get examined. They were so nice, they wanted to make sure that I knew that they were going to be there for me after the dust settled. Through the entire claims process they had my back and were there for me to explain what was going on every step of the way. I never went back to my old insurance company and I am glad I didn’t.

I have two vehicles insured with GEICO and I’ve been their customer since 1996. I’ve only ever had to file one insurance claim because I got rear-ended. Their claim process went extremely smoothly and I couldn’t have been more pleased with how quickly they squared me away. Over the years, I’ve earned various discounts with them (safe driver, military, etc.).
About six months ago, I began shopping around for quotes from other insurance companies to determine if I was paying a competitive rate. I really couldn’t find any company who could beat what I was already paying for the same coverage. That made me confident that I was with the right insurance carrier.
The real sticking point for me with regards to GEICO is how important they regard their customers. In early March, 2013, there was a vicious storm that blew through my area causing considerable damage. The very next morning, I received an email from GEICO which said (and I’m paraphrasing), “We hope you and your family are safe following the recent storm in your area. We take our responsibility as your insurance carrier very seriously and the most important thing we can do for you in a severe weather crisis is to make your recovery process go as smoothly and quickly as possible. We have added additional staff to make sure that all claims are handled as quickly as possible. Please don’t hesitate to call us.” Then it provided their contact information to report a claim. I don’t know of too many insurance companies who reach out to their customers when they know it’s going to cost them money for the claims.
Usually insurance companies wait for us to call them – in hopes that maybe we won’t file a claim. That email did it for me. I was thoroughly impressed with GEICO’s interest, concern, and sincerity for their customers. Because of that, it sets them way above the rest, and I’ll remain their customer permanently.

I can’t say enough about Geico. I don’t expect much from an insurance company, but after dealing with Geico for the past two years, I feel I have been cheated by others in the past. Geico always responds quickly, explains things very easily, yet thoroughly, and they have made collision repair coordination go quite smoothly.
The rates are competitive, and they have never increased rates due to a comprehensive claim and a “no-fault” accident claim where the guy who hit me had insufficient insurance to cover my damages. What’s worth mentioning is that about 2 months ago, I had an incident when my car was parked in the city and someone rear-ended my car. They left a pretty bad dent and multiple scratches on various area from the other cars license plate. I have had GEICO car insurance for more than 20 years. I’ve had a few accidents and each time dealing with GEICO was easy and stress-free. My claims have been handled quickly and the fair market value of the damage has always been covered. If I had other vehicles (boat, motorcycle, RV), I would definitely have GEICO cover them. Based on my coverage, I pay a competitive rate.
Other insurance companies claim they can save me hundreds on what I currently pay, but I know that’s not true just because my rate with GEICO is so low. I know no one else can beat that rate! I trust GEICO to be there for me when I need them. They’ve always dealt with me in an honest and straightforward manner, no matter why or when I’m calling them.
GEICO is committed to providing the simplest ways to handle payments, claims, and policy changes. Most of these things can be easily handled 24-hours a day on their company website. All my policy documents are available online. They have a very user-friendly website. GEICO now allows me to schedule online the time for a claims adjuster to come out and look at my car, which can be really convenient for my schedule.
I really feel like GEICO does business from the perspective of their clients. They provide great service and comprehensive coverage. Although I’ve tried several other insurance companies, I keep coming back to GEICO because the whole insurance thing is so easy with them. I definitely feel safer on the roads knowing I have GEICO insurance. I also really like their commercials with the gecko! Me and the gecko will be together for many years to come.

I must say I have been very happy with my experience with Gieco. I have been with them for some time now and there staff has always been extremely courteous, helpful, prompt and easy to talk to. Connection to an agent almost always takes place in less and 3-5 minutes, which is great in my book. If there is anything they can do to help you get a cheaper rate like make you aware of discounts that you are eligible or help you redo you policy they usually go above and beyond. And in the event they make a mistake, which is RARE, they are very quick to correct it.
Payments are easily manageable though the use of their online website and mobile app, while adding or removing additional vehicles, changing your policy, updating information and etc is a breeze. If you’re a little forgetful they have an automatic bill pay service that makes it easy to make sure your payments are up to date, although I haven’t used it yet. My rates I am extremely happy with. I called over 15 companies and Gieco was the cheapest option for me. I have still yet to find someone who offers me the same coverage at the same price.
In all honesty this has been a great company to me thus far and I wouldn’t consider changing and haven’t had any bad experiences yet. So to all of you out there looking for an insurance provider or thinking about switching then I would highly recommend Gieco.

I’ve had Geico for a few years now, and for most of that, I would have had nothing negative or positive to say about them, because I didn’t need to use their services. They were just a company I sent a reason
able amount of money to every month every month, and that was it.
That is, until last year, when I was in an auto accident that was entirely the other driver’s fault. He ran a red light and smashed into my car. This was the first accident I’d ever been in, and I was completely unsure how to proceed from there. I spoke to the police who arrived at the scene and I was close to my home so I was able to drive the car back, but that was the extent of my post-accident prowess.
I called Geico and despite it being 2 am in the morning, I did not have to wait at all to speak to a customer service rep. She was very friendly and walked me through the steps I needed to take to get the ball rolling on my transportation. They set up an appointment for my car to get towed the next morning to an auto shop they were contracted with. They also set up a rental car for me, paid up for at least two weeks, and all I needed to do was walk to the rental car agency and pick up the keys. The process could not have been easier. And when it turned out that my car was totaled, they offered me more money for a replacement than I thought my totaled car was even worth, which was a really pleasant surprise.
Although I would not want to deal with another accident in the future, I feel like I can really rely on Geico to help me out if I did.

Geico has been our auto insurance provider for over twenty years. I could not be happier with ANY insurance company other than Geico after experiencing the ease of handling all aspects of auto insurance through them. They have outpaced the competition locally in terms of offering online services which makes things like replacing insurance cards and adding or deleting cars a breeze. You can do almost everything online including seeing how changes in coverage affects the total price of the policy.
Additionally, they make available discounts for students who maintain great grades, they offer discounts for safe driving and notify you about online courses for over fifty-five drivers that significantly reduce your bill.
On the one occasion that I had a mishap, backed into a steal pole that was in a blind spot, they responded quickly with appraisal service and paid the repairs (after the deductible of course) promptly. They also went beyond the normal service requirements to follow up and see that the entire process went to my satisfaction which is something that is done very infrequently by any company these days let alone an insurance company.
Geico does not offer home insurance in our area so we have a home owner’s policy with a competitor who is always trying to get us to add auto insurance coverage to our home owner’s policy in order to get a small break in price (which they would quickly eliminate the following year no doubt given their tactics in the past) but the service and support and reliability of Geico is just too positive and appreciated to switch to the competitor. Geico will be our auto insurer for life if they keep up the great cusotmer service and prices which I have no reason to believe they won’t!

We switched insurance companies to save money, which would’ve been great if nothing happened! My car was perfect until Sat, Apr 27th, there was a flood which I was stuck in. Mon, Apr 29th, realized the check engine light was on, called Geico to get it towed. Tue, Apr 30th their towing company finally arrived to tow my car… to the wrong dealership (Nissan) (not the one I wanted, Toyota, but they said to keep it there anyway since their flood specialist is there). Thu, May 2nd finally heard from geico adjuster flood specialist Ricky Roads, saying car is “perfectly fine”. Next week Wed May 8th, since the car was “fine” drove it and it stops in the middle of the highway. Had to get it towed to Nissan, they said they looked at it last time and couldn’t see anything and that there was nothing they could do. Towed it to Toyota, within hours they said there was a hole in my radiator. Thu, May 9th Ricky Roads said not due to flood (even though never had any problem until the flood) so won’t be covered. Geico said they’d send another adjuster Friday or Monday. Called Tues, May 14th, no adjuster was notified, so had to remind them again. Wednesday adjuster came, said hole in radiator was caused by “unknown causes” and would not be covered.
In short, Geico wasted my time, put me in danger by saying my car is “ok”, made me overheat my engine (so instead of just a radiator, I need to replace engine as well), saying nothing was wrong with it, and refuse to acknowledge my car was damaged by flood even though it happened RIGHT after the flood.
I had Liberty Mutual before, and when I was in an accident, they were hassle free and I didn’t have to jump through any hoops. So unless you live in a place with no floods, no vandalizers, no snow, then you can save money on the month-to-month fee. Otherwise, don’t expect to save money.

I have had a good experience with GEICO auto insurance. I received quotes from several other compnies and the quote from GEICO was the best so I chose them. I initiated the insurance in person but have done all other transactions online. I haven’t had to submit any claims since I haven’t had any accidents, so I don’t have experience dealing with them in that way. After the policy renewed it was even less expensive than before so I liked that.|

For the past few years, GEICO has been my car insurance agency. Let me start off by enthusiastically announcing that their customer service, price, and overall approach in regards to the customer’s needs is outstanding. In the past year or so, I have gotten in a couple minor accidents, in which, something minor could have financially crippled me but didn’t because of GEICO.
One event in particular, happened at a red light when I was turning right. The car infront of me started to go, so I turned to look over my shouder to make sure it was clear to go and BAM! Knocked the backend off of car infront of me. Immediately, I began to panick because it was my fault and then the though of what my dad would say came into it. I found myself in a bind, so I immediately called GEICO as I gathered information to exchange with the other driver. The customer service rep. completely changed my mental state, from being a nervous wreck, to calming down. The Rep was very polite and courteous towards me.
Since I’m 24, most people treat me like a child. However, this was no the case in this situation, which I am very greatful for. I just wanted to say that if your looking for a car insurance company to take care of you, GEICO gets the job done. One last thing before I’m done. When you get into an accident, the owner of the other vehicle has to get their car inspected by a GEICO representative in order for them to get any kind of compensation for damage.
I absolutely love that about this company, that the other driver cant just take it to the most expensive, high end mechanic to get it fixed at outrageous prices. GEICO, your great!

I remember sitting in the cold rain on I-40 running through Oklahoma last November and thinking to myself “what am I going to do now?” I had just experienced my first tire blowout and I was a good 300 miles away from home. Then I remembered that I had free towing through my insurance company – Geico.
After previous experiences with car insurance I thought it would be a two, three hour ordeal – but I immediately got through to an insurance agent and a tow truck was there in less than 20 minutes. Within, the hour I had a brand new tire on my car and I was back on the road. This story is just one of many positive experiences I have had with Geico in my four years of being their customer. My wife and I have never had a real accident but we have been hit by hail and had a rock from a truck go through our windshield.
Both times Geico could not have been more helpful and our insurance rate is still the same. True, they are not the cheapest insurance but you really can’t pay for that kind of expertise, customer service, and quality. Spend the extra ten dollars a month and it will pay off in the long run. My wife and I are about to have our first child so thinking about things like insurance really start to hit closer to home and it brings me great peace to know that I have a company so willing to work for my family. Also one last perk. If you are like me you hate waiting on the phone for a customer service rep who “values your business.”
Well Geico is always on the line within two minutes max even when they have high call volume – and that also goes a long way with me as a customer.

To me, the term “car insurance” has always held a negative connotation. However, with Geico, I have had nothing but positive experiences. I’ve held insurance policies with a few other companies in the past, and have always struggled to have my phone calls and emails returned, and/or just rude people to deal with over the phone and in general. My rates would continue to increase, month after month, without much of an explanantion. With Geico, I’ve always had an amazing representative to help me.
I have not had to file any major claims, so I cannot comment on their willingness to help when a large asset or amount is the issue, but I gotta say, I do love that gecko. The rates are…you know…comparable to others, of course. The “Government Employees Insurance Company also offers military discounts, which is great. They also offer all types of insurance, from auto to home, renters, flood, motorcycle, boat, life, overseas…you name it. Their website is great, easy to navigate, and user friendly!
From your very first step with Geico, the website makes it so easy to obtain a quote and open a new policy. I am sure that if I needed to file a claim, I could do so online with much ease and comfort. I’ve read some bad reviews for Geico, but I have to wonder how many people run to express their negative feelings about a company compared to the number of people who have only good experiences that review and report on it. I’ve had nothing but good to say about them, and until they give me a reason not to, I trust Geico with my auto insurance necessities.

I have been using Geico for several years now and it has been one of the cheapest and most reliable companies I have been able to find. As a young driver who needs to save money, Geico is the best; I have checked rates at other companies but they charge much higher rates.
When I first started using the company, I was on the same policy as my father and when I created my own policy they made it so easy to switch my information over. I had many questions when I ventured on my own for a car insurance policy and they were happy to answer them. They have been reliable the entire time I have used them and offer many different ways to purchase insurance. You can call them on the phone and speak to a nice representative or you can go online and find a policy that works for you.
When I bought a new car, it was quick and easy to switch the policy from my old car to my new car. The only thing I do not like about Geico is all their commercials with the gecko in it. I understand that the reason behind it is because the words “Geico” and “gecko” are so similar, but it would be good if they showed different content that was not so corny. Geico not only insures motor vehicles, but also offers renter insurance, homeowners insurance, and boater insurance. These are good insurance options for me as I go through life and plan to purchase a house in the future.

I have had GEICO car insurance for a total of eight years. During that time, I have not gotten in a single accident, nor incurred a single ticket. I have repeatedly checked to verify I am getting a good rate; my yearly comparison searches indicate that I am receiving a very competitive rate for my benefits. While I haven’t had the chance to deal with their customer service much due to my lack of incidents, I have had great experience with their automated services to check prices, increase insurance amounts, remember a username/password, pay my bill, etc. They send appropriate bill reminders, and I always know what’s going on with my account.
Their new mobile app is very friendly; I’m able to download my insurance card and store it on my phone so I’m never without my card! I’m also able to pay my bill and check insurance amounts, a feature that came in handy recently as a friend was trying to figure out if her higher cost was due to different limits requested, her particular vehicle, or her zip code.
I originally went with GEICO due to their cost; however, years later, I’m staying with them because of their cost and their easy-to-use website and mobile app. A friend of mine also had GEICO insurance when she was in an accident last year. The accident was not her fault (she was rear-ended), and she told me the claim service was wonderful to deal with. As an added bonus, her cost didn’t rise after the accident.
Although, overall, I have been satisfied with GEOICO’s service, one service I wish they would provide is the monitoring devices which monitor time driven, and driving style. Progressive offers this; several of my family members have taken advantage of the opportunity to put these devices in their cars for 6 months, monitor their driving and subsequently receive safe-driving bonuses after Progressive reviewed the information. GEICO does not provide this service. Overall, there’s a reason I’ve stayed with GEICO for 8 years; they haven’t given me a reason to switch!

My current insurance company is Geico. While they aren’t the cheapest insurance company I’ve used in previous years (that award goes to State Farm), Geico made up to it with convenience. Sign-up was easy and simple. Living on my own for the first time, but having some extra income, I wanted to have an extra large safety net in case I encounter a collision with someone that owned a far more expensive car than mine.
During my initial sign up over the phone, the representative actually talked me down in an attempt to save me money, educating me on the chances of that kind of occurrence, and stating what would be a better (and more affordable) choice of premium. Geico also provided the service of forwarding me to other insurance companies if they did not fit my needs (like when I went looking for renters insurance). Besides the initial setup, being able to do everything via their website is an amazing convenience, and saves me a large amount of time and hassle. Getting new insurance cards is a breeze, and only requires a few clicks, and updating my policy is easy as well.
During the -one- accident I’ve had over the time I’ve been with Geico, a minor parking lot fender bender involving a car that decided to park too closely to mine, their representative did their best to help me keep calm in my panic and get my situation sorted out, and in the end did not get an increase to my premium. I definitely recommend Geico and their service.

Overall, I would say my experience with this company has been good. With Geico I have had only one major accident, but Geico was responsive and quick to help with my problems.
I’m also pleased that although I’ve received a couple of citations, my rates have not changed. This fact was very calming in otherwise stressful situations. At some times I have needed to contact their customer support. Although it took awhile to get to speak with someone (less than 30 minutes), I had an overall pleasant experience with their customer support. The agent I spoke to was a native English speaker, which is nice. I have nothing against outsourcing of customer support, as long as the agents are competent English speakers. The agent was very friendly, and answered my questions with very little hesitation. It took a while to get through my entire issue, but the same agent stuck with me, and followed up quickly after I ended my call.
Next, I think their website has a smart and clear design. Right when you open up the page the most important links are obvious and center. Getting a quote is simple, quick, and painless. Their contact information is also very easy to find and access.
Overall, my experience has been very positive with this company. Customer service, something very important to me, is very good for this company. I also think that the prices are great for the coverage offered. I would recommend this company to anyone that would ask, and I plan to continue on with Geico into the future.

Things started out great with GEICO. They gave me a great rate, good coverage, signing up was easy and they were very responsive to my questions. Their website was both good and intuitive. But when I started having claims, things went downhill.
It wasn’t the quality of their claims service or the responsiveness. They immediately slapped on a surcharge for my wife’s at-fault accident and left it there for five years. Then, two years ago, someone did a hit-and-run on my almost brand new car. By accident during the claims process, I found out that they were attempting to put USED parts on my new car. They dismissed my concerns, saying that it was “standard industry practice” and that used parts are known to fit better than new, aftermarket parts. My belief is that they were just doing this to save money. Fortunately, I lucked out: They couldn’t find the right part in a junk yard, so they used an OEM part from Chevrolet.
The final indignity came this month, when they took a 4 percent increase on a six month policy — not because I had an accident or claim but just because, in the works of one of their agents, “we took a rate increase on everyone in Florida.” Despite my perfect driving record, they would not rescind the rate hike. They did offer to help lower my bill by reducing my coverage. That’s just what I want: less coverage for the same amount of money.
My bottom ,line for GEICO: good service and reasonable rates, but watch out for “premium creep” — the raising of premiums in small, steady increments the longer you’re with them.

My wife and I had be covered by another auto insurance company for over twenty-two years. We had never filed a claim, had an accident or made changes to our policy. They sent us a check for less then $30.00 every six months because we have not had an accident. Sounds good on the surface but, every six months our insurance cost increased. We were at a point of paying $142.00 per month for full coverage for two pretty new vehicles. I finally had had enough and was tired of listening to our insurance agent tell me increases were do to all of the claims in our state. I had seen a GEICO commercial on the television and decided to give them a call for a comparison quote.
After just a few minutes, the agent on the phone gave me a quote of $83.00 for better coverage then we had with our then auto insurance company. I was assured we would not be dropped if an accident occurred so we took a chance. That was three years ago and I must say we have never been happier. GEICO customer support has been outstanding.
We’ve had called upon a GEICO representative twice in the past three years and have found the response to be speedy, accurate and friendly. Never got that from our old company. In addition, our rates have not gone up and GEICO continues to keep us updated on any changes that we may need to make as we age. We just replaced both cars with a new SUV and our monthly rate is now lower then it was when we had just one vehicle insured.
We have never been happier and we plan to stay with GEICO for as long as they continue to do the outstanding job for us they have been doing.

Geico has been pretty good to me in the time that I have been with them, which is about 3 years. Their agents are pretty accessible when I need them, and when I purchased my car, I called my agent to check if the vehicle would affect my monthly payment, and by how much. They were very helpful and were able to tell me within minutes how it would affect my payments.
The only complaint I have, which I really cannot blame them for, is that my insurance is very expensive. I am a 20 year old male, and because of this, my rate is through the roof. I hope that in a few years, with a good record, I can get it lowered. I would consider switching companies for this, because of how much I am paying per month.
My parents have had Geico for years, and I am under them in my account. Their family policies are very good, and it is easy to add or remove people. Also, it is was an easy process to report an accident. I was rear ended at a stop light, and after I reported it, I received a call from my agent rather quickly asking if I was alright and also asking for my account information. After this short call, they took care of the rest and I did not have to worry much about it until I received a check in the mail for the car plus extra.
Overall, I like Geico as an insurance company, and I hope they can lower my rate in a few years. That would certainly make me a lifelong customer.

I guess Geico has been a pretty good insurance company. I have never really been in a serious accident so I am not sure that the amount of money I have given them has been worth it but maybe for people who are not very good drivers it is worth it.
I have never really understood the whole insurance thing. The premium you would pay for anything except getting a new car is how much the repair would cost anyways. I did not really like that my policy did not get discounted for having taken driving classes before getting my license. I know other companies give discounts for that. All-state for example will also give a discount for good driving, Geico does not.
I feel like its more of a unnecessary expense for me since I have never caused or been in an accident since I have been driving. My overall rating of the company would be a B because they don’t give these discounts other companies do. Other than that it has been a good company that has met my needs very satisfactorily. If there was an insurance company that you only had to pay to get your claims taken care of that would be the best service.
I personally don’t agree with giving so much money to a company that has never done anything for me in the long run besides giving me a piece of paper that I need so the cops won’t take my license away.

Geico Insurance Company would not, as a rule, have earned the privilege to be my auto insurance provider, if not for one single specific incident, which was so important to me, it has garnered my permanent allegiance. I had utilized Geico as my auto insurance source for a few years, but in my infinite wisdom, made the choice roughly a half a year prior, to switch to a cut rate, alternative insurance option. This turned out to be a mistake of almost monumental proportions.
Evidently, and through some part surely of my own doing, my policy had expired with my “other” insurance company. No notification was sent to me, as evidently it was my responsibility to keep with up with such matters, and I can to some extent understand that. During this unknown lapse in coverage, and while traveling on the interstate to a work obligation, (where my timely presence was imperative if I aspired to continue having my job), I was pulled to the side of the road by a state trooper to inquire as to why my license plate cover was so cloudy.
The officer politely requested the customary license and registration, and upon returning to my driver’s side window, informed me, with a slight air of satisfaction, that first of all my license had expired, and secondly, I did not have current insurance on my vehicle. As a result of these two facts, I therefore could proceed no further until both issues were corrected. A traveling companion had an up to date license in their possession, but that did not solve the insurance problem. A quick call to my current provider was greeted with an answering machine. How convenient.
In my infinite wisdom, I decided to call Geico, whose expired insurance card was still in my automobile registration packet. I proceeded to speak with a cordial, and most importantly, perceptively helpful agent, who, to make a long story short, took my credit card information, issued a policy on my vehicle immediately, and even took the time to confirm such with the patrolman, allowing us to legally proceed onward to our final destination.
Without out Geico on that fateful day, I would have been standing on the side of the road, waiting for a tow truck, all the while needing to find a new job almost certainly. Without Geico, the repercussions of that event might have been far reaching. In many instances a person can go through a second rate insurance agent, and save a view bucks, but in the end, if you ever think you’ll need truly dedicated and competent customer service, having Geico Insurance company as your agent could be a day saving choice.

I have been with geico for about two years now, i have never had any problems with the company at all.
Signing up was easy and quick online and i was able to customize my insurance needs for what i needed not what they wanted. Paying my bill every month was also quick and easy, i cohld do it right from my mobile phone no matter where i was as long as i had service.
The customer service team was very easy to talk to and always got back to me when i left messages. Getting copies of my lost insurance cards was simple also! I made one phone call and boom my cards were here and i was able to go on with my day as normal. Overall i wojld say they are a good insurance company and i would recommend them to other people anytime.
The cost was the cheapest i could find, and the coverage was great! I was always worried about my car coverage having a newer vehicle and needing full coverage i thought it would be super expensive but with geico they made it easy and cheap. It just doesnt get any better than that!
