Insurance Advertising Giant – GEICO Reviews
The Government Employees Insurance Company (GEICO) provides car insurance for over 10 million customers. The below GEICO reviews are from some of those customers.
Founded in 1936 by Leo Goodwin, Sr., GEICO began selling auto insurance to federal government employees and their families. Headquartered in Chevy Chase, Maryland, GEICO sells car insurance in all 50 states. The below GEICO reviews are from nearly all of these states.
Owned by Berkshire Hathaway, GEICO has enjoyed a resurgence in recent years thanks to advertising. Several of their advertising campaigns have become well-known in recent years – most notably the GEICO gecko and cavemen campaigns. As of 2007, GEICO boasted over 13 million insured vehicles with over 11 million policyholders. GEICO is one of top insurers of automobiles in the nation. Premium just went up because of my credit score. I don’t understand how this is going to help me in anyway. Now in stead of being able to use that money to help fix my credit I have to use it to pay higher insurnace premiums. How in the world does me being late on my credit card bill make me a bad driver?

I have been with Geico for about five years now and they by far are the best insurance company I have ever done business with. Their website and mobile app are both fantastic, in those five years I have only ever had to talk to a human once and I consider that a good thing. You can literally do everything you need to with their website or app. The one time I did have to file a claim (someone rear ended me) it was easy and painless. I started the process online and got a call about an hour later from them. The representative handled everything including dealing with the other party’s insurance company. My care was fixed within a week and everything was completely paid for. Overall, I think Geico is a little bit expensive, especially as time has gone on, but I have read that is always the case for insurance and that you need to switch every few years in order to get the best deals. Geico does offer just about every time of coverage you can think of and you can easily tweak to raise your protection or lower your payment very quickly and easily through their website. Finally, as I started I would recommend Geico as a company to everyone. They are at least worth getting a quote from and if you end up with them I believe you will be nothing but happy with their excellent customer service, innovative mobile app and website, and the value and security they will bring to you.

I have been a Geico customer for a few years now and so far am pretty pleased. When I first signed up I was happy to find that it really did save me a significant amount of money compared to my previous insurance provider. For the few incidents we’ve had to contact Geico about I was overall please and they covered almost everything we expected them to. A flying rock from a truck hit and cracked my husband’s windshield and unfortunately none of that was covered, however that was part of our policy. My car died and I needed towed home, Geico covered the towing expense but when I got in the tow truck the guy said I owed an extra $5 in cash. It may have had nothing to do with Geico and just a shady Tow guy however I am disappointed Geico would use someone like this. The last incident we had was someone swerved off the road and hit my husband in the other lane. Geico was very efficient and easy to deal with during this. They fully covered all repairs to my husbands car and cost of a very nice rental car equivalent while it was in the shop. This was awesome and made this incident much better to work with. We have rental insurance with another insurance company and wish we could bundle it with Geico for cheaper but unfortunately their rate would not be cheaper. Overall I am very satisfied with Geico and am happy to stay with them as a customer for more time to come

|My family, meaning my parents, my sisters and now me and my husband, have been using Geico auto insurance for many years. They have offered us all the best insurance quotes and have never raised our insurance costs. When we needed towed not once but twice on the same day, they did not give us any problems nor did they make us pay anything for the second tow, like other companies have been known to do. They have been there for us and gone beyond the call of duty to help us understand anything that did not make sense to us. When we sought other ways to get a better deal on our insurance costs, they helped us with that search and gained us another way to get a bigger discount on our insurance. When we moved from one state to another, it looked as though our costs would increase, however, Geico worked hard to ensure this would not be the case. I have never had a company work so hard to do what was best for their clients and not just for themselves. I have investigated the cost of auto insurance for us with other companies and it never fails that Geico has always had the best prices for us hands down. I do not see us switching from Geico in the foreseeable future and I think it is safe to say that Geico has made us clients for life. Geico is a family company: they care for their customers and it shows

Being insured with Geico has it’s good points and it’s bad points in my opinion. As far as customer service goes, I have had my good experiences, as well as my bad. The time they overcharged us for our monthly premium, the agent quickly got it taken care of and refunded the difference back to my checking account. That interaction was pleasant and fast. However, when my wife got hit by a uninsured driver and our care was totaled it was a completely different experience. First, it took them about four days to get us a rental car. That my not seem like a long time, until you figure that my wife and I both work, and we have a son that needs to be driven to daycare and other places. So for those four days, we had to play johnny on the spot with a single vehicle. This was enough to drive me nuts. Also, getting other bills taken care of was just a hassle, almost like they didn’t want to shell out the money even though we had uninsured motorist coverage on our policy. I thought it was a lot more difficult than it would have had to have been. Aside from this instance, the overall price we pay for coverage is far cheaper than the next alternative. We do receive some discounts which help with the price as well. Safe driver, as my wife nor I have had a traffic ticket in over ten years. This is the only accident we have had while under Geico’s policy, so I can not guess how they would react in a situation where you were the guilty party in a accident. In the end, it is much like all other insurance companies, some good point, some bad points, but nothing that is too major to be much of a issue.|

Indeed a great company.
For my last two vehicles (2008 Toyota Camry and 2014 Toyota RAV4) – Geico rates was BY FAR better from basically the same coverage. On top of it I get great service so far and also “auto repair express”. I just hope the company keep going in this path.

Very satisfied so far. I switched from small company. Why I’m pleased?
1) The online costumer service was fast and REALLY worked when I had a question.
2) The rates was cheaper from what my insurance agent could get for me.
Flexible payment policy also helped me.
3) I really like their TV ads… I hope I’ll keep this positive idea in case I really need them.

After I switched to another insurance company, Geico told the DMV I had an uninsured vehicle months ago. Nothing I could show them could convince DMV and the Driver License Office that I had had Geico insurance until my vehicle title was changed over because Geico lied. It cost me $150.
You will regret Geico! The deserve a negative 10!

Few years back I purchased a new car and it came insured with GEICO insurance. Since this was my first personal car I had no prior experience with car insurance companies. I am a careful driver so my first year insurance expired without any claims as no need arose for it. And I renewed the insurance on time to avoid any unnecessary hassle. The price was little higher than other companies but I paid higher price to ensure peace of mind. And in the second year of I met with an accident and front part of my car got damaged completely. Thanks to the airbag that I was safe. At that point I realized the importance of a car insurance and good car insurance company. I contacted GEICO customer care as soon as possible for the assistance and to my surprise they responded faster than my expectations. The surveyor came on the accident spot and helped me to tow the car to the nearest dealership. He surveyed the whole scenario and prepared the report. After that the agent came to dealership to estimate the total damage of car and assured me that I will be getting the bank check as soon as possible. As promised by the agent the claim passed in few days’ time period and I got the much needed money. The agent was quick to respond to my queries and showed attitude of favour towards me, which is rare nowadays. The whole process starting from insurance renewal to claim settlement was very smooth and exceeded my expectations. I did hear horrible stories from my friends when it came to claim settlement process but in case of GEICO is was opposite and I faced no trouble. I am happy that I availed their services and will recommend them to others too. I think GEICO is the best car insurance company.

I have great experience with major auto insurance companies, but finally I come to Geico. They are great excellent in customer service that’s why I liked very much and so personal. They are always ready to help on 24*7, Here after I don’t want worry about any emergencies situation on vacation. I have three vehicles, now switched to Geico for all three vehicles. LM is too much expensive compare to Geico. Now I saving $2800 for vehicles. Its great deal compare to others. They are just best for take caring of their customer’s and making stress free from the stressful situation. I recommend Geico to my friends for awesome savings. I was satisfied with their policies.

I just recently purchased a new Toyota Sequoia. I wanted to make sure that I had great insurance coverage, where I would not be out any money should it be stolen or totaled in an accident. I decided to go with Geico after my father had recommended them. He liked his agent and had no issues with a claim when his windshield broke. Three weeks after I bought my Sequoia, I was cut off in traffic by a dump truck, and had to go over a steep curb to avoid hitting the dump truck. This damaged the front axle and the drivetrain. I was unable to drive it at all, and it was brought to the dealership by their own flatbed truck. I called Geico immediately, and they sent an adjuster out the next day. My new car had less than 450 miles on it, and it was undrivable. I was so upset, but the adjuster was very nice and reassured me that everything would be fixed to brand new condition. The Toyota dealership was able to get to work right away on my Sequoia, and like promised by Geico, were able to use all new parts. They were not after-market or used parts. The adjuster said that he was treating this vehicle as if it were his own, and since it was an expensive vehicle and still brand new, he knew that previously used parts or ones that “almost” fit were not going to be good enough. I didn’t have to deal with any paperwork, and was given a brand new Ford Expedition as a rental vehicle, and never had to deal with any paperwork with that either. Geico and my adjuster truly made what could have been a horrendous experience, one that I was very pleased with. I was able to test drive my vehicle after it was repaired, so I could make sure that it drove just as it did before, with no issues of pulling to one side, shimmying, or shaking. Geico did all the paperwork and dealing with the dealership. The only thing I had to do was call Geico initially, and pick up my Sequoia when it was fixed. I never would have believed it could be so easy! I am very grateful that they used brand new parts. I think that made all the difference. I had heard horrible stories of vehicles never driving the same after an accident such as mine, and having to put up with a constant shake, tires wearing unevenly, and just general discomfort riding in the car. Geico wanted to make sure that my vehicle didn’t have any of these issues, and they succeeded. I never had any problems, and they handled all the paperwork with the dealership and car rental agency. It was truly a hassle-free experience!

When I noticed another premium increase on my auto renewal with NO losses during the policy period, I was perturbed and went to Geico merely because of their persistent marketing and name recognition. I requested a quote on the exact coverage’s I already have with Nationwide. I was not really expecting a material difference in premium but ended up with a quote saving me HALF of my current annual cost. I initiated a chat with a Geico agent to confirm that the quote was accurate and asked if I could expect any unexpected charges or taxes. – I was particularly concerned about a ticket I had received two years ago and wanted to make certain that was considered in the quote. Agent assured me that motor vehicle reports were run during the process and the quote was accurate. I then called my current agent to advise her of this quote. My current agent had nothing negative to say about Geico and simply told me she could not compete with Geico’s price. I then decided to switch and hope for the best. I called customer service because I bought a second vehicle and need insurance and it was easy and painless. The agent helped me every step of the way adding the car. Later I had some issues with the car and needed to remove the care off of my policy and called them. Again the agent advised me of what needed to be done and assisted me. Again easy and painless.

I have Geico insurance and like them due to their agility in taking care of claims. I have been using Geico for nearly two years, after using Progressive for my motorcycle, and had a minor fender bender a few months ago. I use Geico for my car, now, but when I needed insurance for my motorcycle Geico gave me the most expensive quote out of every insurance agency that I contacted; the quote was so high that the agent wanted to double check to make sure that there was not an error in the computer system. I was under 20 at the time, so a high quote was expected, but I was also a driver with a clean record. I insured my Jeep with Geico because it was the insurance that my parents were using and it was cheaper for me to use Geico than Progressive. When I had my fender bender, last summer, I quickly contacted Geico where they walked me through the process and explained the information to me carefully so that I could understand what needed to be done in the situation. Less than a week after the incident, my car was at the claim center being checked by the agents for a repair estimate. Through the whole process of my accident it took longer for me to receive a copy of the police report, from the police station, than it did to receive an estimate on how much it would cost for me to repair my Jeep. In addition, Geico did a thorough investigation as to who was at fault in the accident since both parties had conflicting stories

I really enjoy having Geico has my car insurer. Their insurance agents are always so helpful when I have an issue, every time I call it is a stress free phone call. For example, one time I accidentally rear ended another passenger on the freeway. I had to call my insurance agent to make sure everything was covered and to ensure proper handling of the car accident. In the past with other insurance companies agents would somewhat berate me and my driving skills. Since I’ve been with geico they have been nothing but friendly to me, treating me like family no matter what the incident is. The best thing about Gieco is their super low rates too. I was quoted a fair price and with the auto pay I enrolled for it makes it so much easier to remember to pay on time! Their website is super easy to navigate as well, as I never have any trouble finding anything on their website. All in all, I’ve been with geico for about 5 years now and I dont think I will ever use another insurance company again. Their customer service is unmatched and I have yet to be quoted something more reasonable than what I’m getting at geico. Most importantly though, their customer service is what keeps me a customer. You really can’t put a price on being treated fairly in this day and age and Geico does exactly that! In fact, I’d go as far to say that they treat my like family.

Geico is an awesome insurance company. I really like their customer service. Every time I have called with a questions the agents have been super friendly and always helpful. Every agent I have spoken with seems to be knowledgeable ,and if they do not have the answer they are eager to find it out for me. I have never had any issues with billing or filing a claim. Once an agent help my husband and I file two different claims at one time. The incidents did not even relate to each other, but he was just trying to get our issues resolved in the quickest manner possible. He was able to fix our problem and actually save us money in the process. Geico has a great website. It is very user friendly, and you can pretty much do anything that you need to do online. So, unless you have a specific question, you do not even need to call anyone. I set up my billing to come right out of my checking account, but I can modify it if I need to adjust my budget for a particular month. I can add or remove drivers or vehicles on the website. I can even change my policy online. This makes thing quick and easy, which is great because I don’t have a lot of time. I would recommend Geico to anyone looking for great insurance. I have not had a problem in over 8 years of service. I am a very satisfied customer

GEICO has been a good company to do business with. I had a claim some years ago and they took care of it with no problem. And it was a serious one. I have, knock on wood, avoided claims since then. I had full comprehensive one it while it was parked by my home a few years ago and GEICO covered a window that was broken out due to the neighborhood I live in. That fortunately only happened once. This is the only personal thing that I kept from a previous life in another state, this insurance that is. The company has been fair and good to me so I have no complaints. The insurance was getting rather high however compared to how much I drive. So I did take everything off except what the state requires. I guess everything has to go up if it’s insurance and required. When the car was under seven years old GEICO had full coverage on my car after the company insurance ran out. That was quite helpful. I had to have some things repaired on the car that they covered with me paying a deductible. It helped me save some expense. The car is older now and I don’t think I can get that coverage and I would need complete coverage on the car which is something I can’t afford. But it helped out when I had it and also helped to pay a tow charge when I broke down on the highway. Overall I am happy with this company and hope we stay together for the time I need them.

I have been with Geico for over 1 year, and I have been 100% pleased with my experience so far. I have not yet been able to find anything to complain about as they have been the best priced auto insurance agency (I called probably 15 different places, and at LEAST 6 of them were other MAJOR brand name agencies). The customer service representatives were very helpful and knowledgeable about the services they had to offer. Would definitely recommend Geico to all my friends and family for their Auto insurance needs!… I’ve never had to wait too long for my approval to come through. Claims are easy and the response time is quick. I would say for anyone who is intimidated by how confusing filing an insurance claim can be at times, then choose to go with Geico. It’s been great! I had been seeing the Geico commercials for years about switching and saving on your car insurance before I actually gave them a call. Boy was I glad I did. Before switching to Geico from Farmers, I was paying over 300$ a month for just one car. Once I gave Geico a call and switched over, my rate went down to 99$ a month! I couldn’t believe the difference! It was a simple process and my Geico customer service rep walked me through it quickly and efficiently. I could kick myself for sticking with my former insurance company for so long. All in all, it has been a good decision and one that I do not regret

I have to say I am really happy with my auto insurance. My entire family has been using Geico for many years now. Even when we try out other insurance companies, we always find that Geico always has the lowest rates for us. Time after time they have shown how much they do care about their customers. My husband had to get a tow and and they made it so easy to reach out right there on the app. He didn’t have to wait very long for the towing company. Turns out he had them tow it to the wrong mechanic. Geico was so helpful, they went ahead and sent another truck out to pull our car to another mechanic at no additional charge. I was quite surprised. Not to mention, they take their calls quickly and seriously. I’ve had to call a few times with a question now and again and every time, they have gone above and beyond their duty as an insurance company to make sure we had all our questions answered. I love they have extra ways for their customers to save money simply because of belonging to a college or other group. Because we are members of the National Geographic Society, we qualified for an extra discount! That was a pleasant surprise. I don’t know of any other auto insurance company that offers something like that. I believe we will be with Geico for many years to com.

I like GEICO due to their quick response to my insurance claim after I was involved in an accident last year, however I believe that their insurance rates are very high. The customer service at GEICO has been excellent for me in many different cases. A few years ago I initially contacted GEICO to get an insurance quote for a motorcycle that I was planning on buying and the quote was the most expensive quote that I had been given out of the handful of companies that I had called; in fact, the quote was so high that the insurance agent wanted to call me back because she believed that there might have been an error in the system. When the agent called me back she had realized that there was not an error in the system and that was just the price that I would have needed to pay for that package; this was for a driver with a perfectly clean record. I soon after purchased the motorcycle and insured it with Progressive Insurance for more than half of what GEICO wanted to charge me. About a year later, I purchase a Jeep and insured it with GEICO for a reasonable price. After two months, I was rear-ended by another driver and my bumper was bent. I was able to make a claim and repair my Jeep very quickly after the accident. The longest part of the process came from the police department in obtaining the accident reports. Less than a week after the reports were obtained, GEICO contacted me to schedule a time for me to have my Jeep inspected at the claim center.

Geico has been my car insurer for several years now, but I am thinking of switching. They do have cheap rates, I save 15% or more like the gecko on the commercial says, but they are chintzy on claims. So I’m going to look around when it gets closer to my expiration date on my policy. Their customer service when it comes to policy questions, payment questions, and the like, is great. I like their website. But….and it’s a big but, I do not like their policy on not paying fair rates on their policies (pun intended). I was rear-ended a few months ago – no injuries, just damaged bumper. They would not pay full value, as they said there was prior damage. Of course there was a little prior damage – it is a bumper, duh. It is going to have nicks, dings, etc. But it was not crushed in. It was not almost falling off – I had to duct tape it so I could drive it to the body shop. They only wanted to pay out $224, when replacing the bumper was estimated at $670 by the mechanic using a refurbished bumper from the scrapyard. (Prices are after deductible). The estimate also includes ancillary damage – tail lights replaced and the like. I did not bother having other dents, scratches, and the like corrected. It is a five year old car after all. But I feel jerked around. That $470 difference pretty much wipes out any savings I got from my premiums from Geico versus what I would have paid State Farm or whomever. So next time, when my policy rolls around. I am going to call around, check rates, and check review sites like this one to see if the company actually pays out. It’s what you do.

My experience has been really good. I had gotten stopped and I couldn’t find my insurance card in my glove compartment. The friendly agent emailed my current insurance card to my phone. This made it so I didn’t get a ticket and a court date. They made a mistake on my policy they forgot to take off a car we got rid of and they made it right that day. The agent apologized for their error and even noted I had sent them proof that I had junked the car because it was not salvageable after an accident I had that was not my fault. We had a major car repair and needed to change our billing date. The agent was so nice and helpful. She made the adjustment and emailed me a confirmation email so that we were sure when the payment was coming out. Geico calls me every so often to make sure they are saving us the most money. The only thing I wish they had was an auto club like triple A for towing and such issues. I like that Geico has autopay but you can change when you need to without a surcharge, We also got two speeding tickets and they didn’t hike up our insurance rates which was great. Overall, customer service is super-efficient and engaging. I usually get a rep within three minutes without a bunch of annoying music and off the phone with issues resolved in under five minutes. I have good experiences online as well.

GEICO has been an exemplary car insurance company for me. I have been a customer for five years now and have never had any negative experiences with GEICO. My rates have gone up slightly, but that typically happens with every car insurer and it hasn’t gone up enough to cause me to look elsewhere for insurance. They do provide great discounts for being members or certain organizations and for having a good driving record. I have been in one accident and it was the other driver’s fault. The other driver didn’t respond to calls from his car insurance company for a week or so after the accident so I went ahead and called GEICO to create a claim just in case. The representative that I spoke to over the phone was very helpful and reassured me that if the driver that caused the accident remained off the grid that GEICO would follow through with the claim and go after the driver. Fortunately, the driver eventually responded and accepted the blame for the accident. I didn’t have to follow through with my claim from GEICO, but I know that they would have taken great care of me. Finally, GEICO has a great website and mobile app that allow me to easily obtain my policy information, make payments, and obtain my insurance card. You can take pictures of your accident with the app and easily upload them along with filing your claim on the app. I would recommend GEICO to anyone looking for a reputable insurer who is keeping up with the times

I think that overall Geico is one of the best insurance companies out there. Of course every insurance companies models are different but consistently they are always one of the cheapest for me and with what benefits you get they are the best value. They have a wonderful smartphone app that lets you do everything you need to including starting a claim service where you can upload relevant pictures of what happened and go through all descriptions. You can have a digital copy of your insurance card which saves precious wallet space. Realistically you can manager everything about your account directly from the smartphone app. Which is above and beyond great in the modern day. Their customer service has been a pleasure to deal with including their claim service department when I was rear ended in a parking lot at my local grocery store. They were always in contact with me to let me know how everything was progressing. It was fast and painless. My car was fixed extremely quickly and again had I wanted to I could have managed the entire process from my phone. The other thing I enjoy about Geico is knowing that financially they are very secure being a part of one of the largest American companies in Berkshire Hathaway. You know that they have the resources to always serve you. They are constantly rolling out new features to both their website and their smartphone application to make your life easier with their service. Overall I realistically cannot recommend them enough

I have been a loyal customer of Geico for many years. I currently have several vehicles insured by them. I am extremely satisfied with their customer service as well as their competitive rates. I also love their user-friendly website that lets me make changes without having to do it over the phone. I can add or delete coverage, and I can also increase or decrease the amounts of coverage that I have on my vehicles. My proof of insurance cards are always sent with my renewed insurance policy. Geico’s online payment system is also very user-friendly. I pay monthly premiums with a small service fee instead of paying the entire annual premium all at once. This feature makes it a lot easier on the pocketbook! I have only had good experiences with them when it comes to resolving the few fender benders that I have experience over the past years. One such incident happened at my gym in the parking lot. I got a small dent on my back bumper and when I opened a claim with Geico, they handled it professionally from the beginning to the end. I thought it would be a big hassle, but it went very smoothly. A few years ago, I got a speeding ticket in my neighborhood, and all I could think of was, “there goes my insurance premium – up, up, up!” But, I was pleasantly surprised that my first and only ticket did not affect my premium. I was so relieved. When family or friends ask me to recommend an auto insurance company, I never hesitate to tell them about Geico.

Geico Insurance company has been very helpful when I have accidents or when my car won’t start due to battery issues. For example, when I had an accident about 6 months ago, the person who hit my car was very adamant that it was my mistake despite the fact that It was clearly his fault for making an illegal left onto traffic. In addition, he was trying to bully me for forgetting my insurance card. I immediately contacted Geico to email me my insurance card to the email address on file. The customer service representative sent my card to me. She was very sympathetic since she heard the other person yelling at me because I did not have my card with me. She asked if I felt I was safe and made sure that she stayed on the phone with me until the cops arrive. I felt like she really cared for me and the situation. When I started to report the claim, the person on the other line at Geico was very patient with me and told me to take my time so that all the details that I will be providing is accurate. I never felt rushed for me to tell them exactly what happened. I felt at ease and was never nervous in providing them the details of the accident. They even made a follow-up call to make sure that my car has been towed and the company working on it has done a thorough job. The person who Geico picked to give me an estimate was also helpful and made sure that I had a rental car while they were working on the car. He was very friendly and made sure that I was taken cared of every step of the way. I have been with Geico for over 10 years and I will continue to stay with them because of the great customers service that they have provided me throughout the years.

I have been a customer of Geico for about three years now. I have yet to file a true claim but have had a windshield fixed which was free. Overall their website and mobile apps are fantastic. It’s a blessing to have a digital copy of my proof of insurance and one less things in my wallet. Pricing is extremely competitive and any time I have dealt with customer service they have been great.

I have been with Geico for years and they have never let me down. Every interaction that I have with them is seamless. Over the course of the last ten years, I have had two accidents and needed to get my windshield replaced once. Both times were extremely pleasant, given the circumstances. The customer service reps are always very pleasant and kind and are extremely helpful, the rates are good (always discounts available, and the service is commendable. I would definitely recommend to anyone

I went to get my car inspected a couple months ago, and realized when I got there I did not have my insurance card. I was suppose to have picked it up at the Post Office and completely forgot. I called my insurance agent and they told me it was no problem that they could fax it straight to the inspection station and I would be good to go. This was quite a relief. I get very nervous when doing things like this and the agent was very helpful and patient with me. I have had Geico as my insurance agency for over 15 years I switched from Allstate to save money and have not been sorry one bit. They are very helpful and have a great website. Very user friendly. I have not had any accidents, so no claims have needed to be filed. I have been contacted by them to save money. They have made suggestions about taking a defense driving class that would save on my premium, which I took but my husband did not want to. They also were very helpful when my children started driving, helping me get the best rates for covering them. I have from time to time price shopped when other companies ask if I would like to save on my insurance and have yet to find another company that covers as well for the price I pay.I am very please to be with Geico and do not intend to change insurance agencies unless something happens to change my mind. I would stay with them if their prices increase to a certain extent because I have had no problems with them and enjoy the ease with which I keep my policies in order. They make things easy and straight forward.

I have to say the adds for Geico are correct, I did lost 15% or more on my auto insurance. In fact, I saved cost to 30%. I liked the ease of using Geico’s website. I did have questions so I used the link to talk to someone. I entered my cell phone number and the infamous Geico gecko called me back and told me someone wanted to talk to me who was very helpful, knowledgable young man. When i was done I felt like I had been chatting with a friend, not shopping for insurance. I haven’t had to use Geico for a claim so I can’t speak to that aspect. Another small but notable feature I used once was pushing back my due date for monthly charge to a later day in the month.

A few months ago, we had a snow storm in North Carolina. I use that term loosely, because it wasn’t so much a storm as it was simply frozen precipitation. No matter the terminology, the end result of the storm was that my windshield suffered a small crack. No matter, I thought. I could hold out until I had some extra spending money. As the crack began to grow I shortly realized that this was not the case. I filed a claim on the Geico website and soon found out that a repair was my only option due to the size of the damage. That’s fine, I thought. I had to buy comprehensive car insurance since I am financing the cost of this new vehicle through the bank, so surely I would be covered. I am covered, but with a $500 dollar deductible. To put that figure in perspective, my entire six month premium costs $330. What is the point of owning insurance if the cost to replace is more than my entire policy? Filing a test claim, I was quoted $300 to fix it. Now, keep in mind, my vehicle just has standard glass with minimal tinting. There are no fancy sensors or anything like that, and the price was STILL almost as much as my six month policy. That’s so far beyond the line of absurdity that I almost felt like calling up customer service and shouting at them. I did call, but they were unable to help me any more than the website could. At least they were polite. The end result ended up being $175 dollars out of my own pocket for a third party company to repair my damaged windshield, cutting out Geico entirely. The only reason I am still with them is for their low price, but I am now worried about what accidents and damage that could possibly be uncovered

I absolutely love Geico Insurance. I have been insured by this company for over 7 years and have never had a problem. I only have good things to say about the customer services, claims department, rates and policies. My husband and I both has had to make claims on our vehicles, and both experiences were easy and positive. The representative even agreed to work with just me face to face, since my husband works and was unable to get off. They roadside assistance offered with my policy has saved me on more than one occasion, including recently when I locked my keys in my car. It was just a quick call, and I was good to go. I had no out of pocket expense. They were also on the ball when my old van broke down. The agreed to tow the car home for me instead of just to the nearest dealership. This saved me a lot of time and money. My rates are very reasonable even after an accident that I caused. I called them after the accident and the woman I spoke with was very friendly and reassuring that accidents were just accidents. And insurance companies exist because of accidents. My rate did go up a little, but nothing horrible. It could have been a lot worse. I have never considered leaving Geico, and I don’t think I every will. They are super friendly and very convenient. I can pay online and there are many options on how and when to pay.

I was looking to change insurance companies from another one that i had been with for years but didn’t really offer and really good coverage or incentives to stay with them.A coworker told me that she had GEICO and was very happy with there rates and how they might be cheaper than what I was paying now. So i looked them up online and did a instant quote and the price they quoted mt was almost half of what i was paying with the company that I was with so I jumped at the chance to switch over I set my self up for auto pay because that gave me a even cheaper rate for 6 months after that everything was fine i didn’t have any complaints until I looked at my credit card bill and say that Geico had been taking double payments every month instead of the once per month payment I agreed upon I quickly got on the phone with customer service and the agent assured me that it was a mix up but they could not refund my money instead they would just apply it to what i owed i told them thats not good enought i did not authorize you to take double payments i want my money back after no less than two weeks i was refunded the money that they owed me but the damage had been done in my eyes they were no longer trustworthy so i ended up switching too ALLSTATE and although they do cost me more they have great incentives for good driving and i haven’t had any issues with billing.

When it came time for my husband and I to choose a car insurance, we knew my father had done business with Geico for over ten years. My father has always liked their service. They were always very helpful to him and and answered his questions as well and as quickly as possible. Since he had such good service with them, we went ahead and compared prices and packages with many different auto insurance agencies. None of them were as low as Geico. We signed up online and chose our package. They have it so streamlined, it just took a few minutes. We didn’t have to leave our home and that made it so easy. What I also really liked was that we didn’t have anyone from Geico harassing me on the phone with repeated calls when I wasn’t sure (in the beginning) as to whether or not we would choose them. I found that as you are searching for insurance, you wind up getting a lot of emails and phone calls. GEICO didn’t do that. Now that we have, we are glad we did. It just goes to show, with a man as stern and hard as my father, if he’s been in business with a company for over ten years, they should really be considered if they are meeting his standards! It’s been several years now and we’re still with Geico. When our car broke down, they made getting our car towed a very easy and fast process.

Over 16 years, I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Geico. Their road side assistance has been a life-saver on several occasions. Each time I was broken down (far from home) I just called Geico, and they found the closest shop and sent help. Since it was covered by my insurance, I didn’t have to worry about payment at that moment. The shops they worked with (one in downtown Philadelphia, one in rural Ohio, one in the Boston, Mass region) were all professional, quick, and courteous. In addition, though I live in a small town and the closest Geico office is 50 miles away, when a deer hit my car I didn’t have to go to them to get an estimate; an agent visited me and met me in the parking lot at my place of business, making the estimate process as easy as it could possibly be. On top of all that, the Geico online services are easy to use and well-organized. I’ve managed to misplace my insurance cards more than once, and they’re just about three clicks away. I do auto-payments online, so I never have to worry about forgetting the bill. But I’ve never had any errors or problems with the online payment system. Finally, when I was calling about a claim when my last car was aging, the agent pointed out to me that although my coverage probably made sense when I bought the car, given the car’s age I had it insured for more than its value. She suggested I drop the coverage slightly to save money until I purchased a new car. And I didn’t even ask! I know some people think big companies don’t provide good service, but Geico is definitely an exception. Love them!|

I have been with GEICO for over seven years. My father has been with them even longer. I thought I could do better going with a newer company but I gave them a call to find out what was up. These are the friendliest and most helpful people I’ve come across. My first consideration when I selected GEICO to be the insurance provider for my automobile was the cost. I compared quite a number of providers before choosing GEICO and while most offered comparable services and coverage, GEICO was by far the most economical. I have since come to find that while the premiums I pay may be the most economic, the service provided by the representatives is always top notch. I give GEICO the highest marks possible and I would recommend them highly to anyone who ask. I also like the way they show interest in each individual person with what you may or may not need in your policy. Several years ago my husband was extremely ill and unable to work and I had to ask them several times to wait for a payment, but please don’t stop the insurance as we were driving back and forth to doctors and hospitals frequently. There was never a problem, their customer service people were very understanding and kind. What I also really liked was that we didn’t have anyone from Geico harassing me on the phone with repeated calls when I wasn’t sure (in the beginning) as to whether or not we would choose them. Now that we have, we are glad we did.

I’ve always thought that the save 15 percent or more on your car insurance by switching to Geico was just a gimmick, but I was surprised to find out that by switching to Geico my bill was cut in half! Geico is truly an excellent insurance company. I had gotten hit by a driver and within an hour they set me up with a body shop, and had a rental car ready for me. It was a truly painless experience. I opted to report the claim through Geico because they made it such a painless experience. By doing so, I had to pay my deductible, but within a couple of days they had went after the other motorists insurance company and was able to reimburse me in full. Their customer service is truly top notch as well. When I call to change my policy, I don’t have to sit on hold. I’m able to talk to a real person within minutes, and they have always been more than helpful in getting me all the discounts available to me. Paying my bill is a piece of cake as well. It’s just a matter of giving them a call and telling them my payment information. It literally only takes five minutes! All in all I would have to say that I am pleasantly surprised with how great of a company Geico is. They are the whole kit and caboodle. They have excellent customer service, and really are the most inexpensive insurance company around. 5 stars out of 5 stars!!!|

I currently have been with Geico insurance for about four years. I’ve never had an issue with the company and they have top notch customer service and accident specialists. My vehicle was hit while I was in a business by a drunk driver and they handled every bit of my claim and got me back into my fixed car in a matter of weeks. I’ve spoken to multiple agents and have never had an issue in regards to customer service or experience.

My husband and I have had Geico for about 3 years now and we both really like it. Their rates are reasonable and they don’t just keep going up because they can which is what our other car insurance did. We didn’t have any tickets or wrecks and they kept raising the rates. They tried to say it was because my husband has student loans. which was crazy to me because the 2 shouldn’t have anything to do with it. When we talked to an agent at GEICO, he said that was ridiculous and that GEICO would never do that. True to his word, they haven’t. The rates go up a couple dollars every now and then but for the most part they stay the same. A couple times they even went down by at least 20 dollars because of prompt payments. The agent was very nice and helped us get set up on auto-payment. I downloaded their app and it’s so easy to use and it comes in very handy when we want to change something about our plan but don’t want to have to wait on the phone forever and a day. Two things do bug me about GEICO but they are minor things. The first is why do they feel the need to end a document every time the next payment is due. We told them that wasn’t necessary and it seems like just a waste of paper to me. Another thing is if we change the payment schedule, there’s a dollar charge if it the payments get spread out.

I was hit by a Geico customer and was directed to a Collision Center for a Geico claims estimate. During the estimate at the facility, I was told the discrepancy of the estimate from the shop I preferred and the Geico estimate would be worked out and I wouldn’t have to pay out of pocket. That was not the case and now I have to pay for an accident that wasn’t caused by me. I would rethink the using the Geico if this is how they treat people with claims against their customers.

Originally I had State Farm car insurance but after 6 years of never getting a ticket, never having an accident someone T-boned me in an intersection and totaled my car. State Farm did everything in their power to not pay me or help me out in anyway. Long story short they worked out a “deal” with the other guys insurance company and I wound up getting shafted and had to buy a beater car just to get to and from work. After that I dropped them and picked up Geico. 3 years later of clean driving I hit a patch of ice and my car was again totaled. Geico worked with me and even set me up with a loaner. Never once did I feel like they were trying to weasel out of giving me money and helping me out. They wound up getting my car fixed up and back to me within the month and my rates didn’t even go up since it was the first time I’d had any kind of claim with them. I’ve definitely recommended them to all my friends and family who were also using State Farm and were unhappy with them. Stephanie helped me out and treated me like family at every step of this ordeal. Unless Geico somehow royally screws me in the future I’m going to stay loyal to them, I’m tired of insurance company that treat me like a walking wallet who just gives them money every year and then never gets any back because of some shady loop-hole weaseling out of their job.

I needed to switch insurance companies, so I took the afternoon to call around. I called several companies, and got some fairly decent auto quotes, all much much lower than what I was paying currently. My last call was Geico. I really wish I had called them first. From the start my experience was amazing! The service representative answered very fast, and immediately made friends with me. I felt as if I had known him for years! He asked me a bunch of questions about my car, and within minutes had me this perfect quote. It was over $200 dollars cheaper than what I had been paying for three entire years! THREE YEARS! He was able to get me set up within a very few minutes. During the phone call he asked the basic information, but they were actually able to pull my DMV information from my Social Security Number, so I didn’t even have to dig to look for numbers or anything else. He was able to get my insurance set up so that I did not have to pay anything to start today. Better yet, I got to start my Geico Insurance the day that my other insurance was paid through. They totally understood that we had just paid Four Hundred Dollars out to the other company. I was floored that they worked with us so well. They set us up with auto deduction each month, and it will come out on the same day! No more guessing how many days early our insurance was going to be due the next month! They were able to set us up on a bundle program, so that we got discounts for putting all three vehicles on there. They also gave us a valued customer discount since we had been with our previous company for five years. They kept congratulating us on our great driving record. We felt so comfortable with them. What was the best part? They emailed us our policy numbers while we were on the phone with them. Also, they sent us letters to send our current insurance company to let them know that we were “breaking up”. It was awesome, and so unexpected. I would definitely recommend Geico to anyone looking for the best prices and the absolute best customer service!

When my husband and I had started to look for car insurance for both of our cars (we were with our parents insurance up until this point), we looked at ALL the insurance companies- AAA, State Farm, Progressive, Allstate, etc. GEICO was by far the cheapest option- I don’t know if it was because my parents had been GEICO customers for years, or what it was, but they had the cheapest price for overall coverage. We have really liked working with them and I like being able to choose exactly what I NEED covered- we don’t need full coverage on our two older cars, so I was happy I could pick and choose what I wanted. I have done everything online and it was pretty easy; the only thing I wish was better was not having a limit to the amount of quotes I asked for. After a few times, it said I needed to call GEICO and speak with someone to get another quote. I do not know why this was the case, but in the end I figured out what I needed from a previous quote and didn’t have to call them over the phone. I also like that getting the insurance and printing our the insurance cards is an instant thing- I didn’t have to wait for the cards in the mail, or wait a few days before I could print them out. It was a quick and easy process, which I have to say I was surprised about. Overall, I really like GEICO so far. This coming February will be our second year with them and I do believe we’re staying with them for the time being. They have good discounts!

I have been with Geico for more than 20 years. I have never had a terrible ordeal. I expected to record a case around 12 years prior as I was in a mishap that was not my deficiency. State Ranch was totally on my side. My van was totaled in the mishap and in the preparatory examination by one of their operators, they paid my vehicle credit off totally. Once the case experienced the last examination and it was resolved to be the other party’s issue, Geico sent me a check repaying my $500 deductible in a convenient way. I have never had an awful affair. Truth be told, I bought another vehicle 2 days prior and notwithstanding accepting a lower quote from another insurance agency for the same scope, I rejected the offer as I am faithful to Geico. My present operators, has addressed inquiries concerning my approach and given me predictable incredible guidance. His staff is dependably neighborly and supportive moreover. exceptionally fulfilled by basic and simple recharging. At reestablishment time I’ve generally shopped a few different organizations, and Geico has dependably been the minimum costly. They have reestablishment accessible by US postage, which makes it extremely basic. All the printed material is done in copy, which makes it simple to have a set with every vehicle protected by Geico. I get my recharging notice no less than a month ahead of time, which makes the likelihood of delay a great deal less conceivable. Friendly client administration. At whatever point I had an inquiry/issue they generally ensured that everything was dealt with. Never had client administration like this with an insurance agency.

Geico has appealed the most to me for quite some time. They are a big multinational insurer, and clearly their rates are just tough to beat. I insure two vehicles at state minimum coverage and it’s under $400 dollars a year for both cars combined. Also, I really like how easy it is to work with them. They won’t be calling you bugging about some insurance review. But, at the same time they are always there via the internet, or through their toll-free phone number. I have not filed a claim with them, but I understand from friends who also insure with Geico that they have no complaints over that process- and net result. Also, they are timely with all pertinent account information, and can mail you say a proof of insurance card if you need it at any time. Their rates and plans are clear and quite straightforward. It’s that essential simplicity; combined with perhaps the best rates in the business that will keep me coming back year after year as a loyal and enthusiastic Geico customer.

After 15 years of service, I can still say I’ve had nothing but good experiences with Geico, despite not having a “local” agent near where I live. Here are a few of the great experiences I’ve had with Geico. The first car I had ensured with them was a reliable Oldsmobile. I drove it till it had 300,000 miles on it.
When the car was about 10 years old, I had required some service (cracked windshield), and while I was talking with the agent she said, you know, your car is currently ensured at a replacement value that is higher than the blue book value, given its age. So we adjusted my coverage and I saved some money for the rest of the life of that car. On another occasion, I was hit by a deer and the agent needed to see my car prior to the repairs. I’m a college teacher, so my schedule is a little tricky (can’t just cancel class for something like this). My Geico agent arranged to meet me in the parking lot at work in a 40-minute window between my classes, and he arrived right on time. (Could someone tell my cable company this is possible?) I carry Geico’s road-side assistance service, and it has been a lifesaver on several occasions: blown-out tire, frozen fuel pump, dead alternator, and a crazy event where I got stuck in some snow in a parking lot. All these happened to me while I was far from home and on the road, and each time Geico found the closest tow place, repair shop, etc., and got them to me quickly. (I was amazed when a friend with a different road-side assistance program got much inferior services, because this is the only insurance company I’ve had.)

I have an auto policy on my 2005 Chevrolet Silverado with Geico. It was very easy to start the policy. I went to the website and filled out the form. I decided to pay every 6 months and then everything was set up. I think the price is fair. I pay about 500 dollars every 6 months for my vehicle and also in case if I damage someone else’s vehicle. I think the coverage is high and will protect me in most situations. The policy premium is a small price to pay for the security and peace of mind that Geico gives me. I have gotten in two accidents in the past couple of years and had to deal with the company. The first was when a truck pulled out in front of me and dropped a large pipe in the road. I had to stop quickly and the car behind me rearended me. I called the company and they let me know that if I paid a 500 dollar deductible I could have all my repairs done. Thankfully my dad was able to repair the damage to the bumper. This accident was not my fault, but the one I got into next was. I was in an unfamiliar neighborhood and ran a stop sign. There was a car coming on the cross street and hit me in the passenger door. I was really afraid that I might have caused damage to the other person or the vehicle. Geico gave me peace of mind that I will be protected and not lose big financially from this accident. They called me to let me know they were there to defend me if anything was broken or the person was hurt. I felt safe and secure with Geico and was glad to have them on my side.

My family and I have been with Geico for almost ten years now. Every once in a while we ask for quotes from many other auto insurance companies, but time and again, Geico proves to us that we have the best deal. No matter which way we work it, Geico always has ensured that we have the lowest insurance premiums. When our car broke down, Geico was quick to help us out and get a tow truck out to us and get us to our family mechanic. Whenever we have had questions, they left no stone unturned and made sure we fully understood everything before we got off the internet or off the phone with them. When I’ve called them, I’ve never had to wait very long and the workers on the other end always knew what to do or who to direct us to and could always answer our questions quickly or find the person(s) who could. I haven’t had service like that with any other company. When we moved from one state to another, we were quite worried that our insurance premiums would skyrocket but Geico was there for us and made our transition smooth. I was grateful to see that our premiums didn’t go up very much at all and were still tons lower than all the other available auto insurers. When my sister’s car was totaled, they were quick to get her into a rental until they finished their investigations, which were lightning fast. Before she knew it she had her replacement car in a matter of a few weeks. My family and I are pleased with Geico and I have to say, I am quite sure we will remain loyal customers with them for many more years to come.

I have been with Geico auto insurance for almost ten years. They have always treated me well. I have a convertible car and the rear window shattered one year. I called Geico and they said they would cover it after I paid my deductible. They scheduled a meeting with an adjuster, which was quick and easy. Geico worked with the repair company to schedule a repair time. Geico also gave me a free rental car for the time period that my car was in the shop. Afterwards, the car’s roof was replaced and the whole situtation was handled perfectly. Geico’s web site is a pleasure to use. I can log on, check my coverage, make a payment, get ID cards and more. They also have a very useful mobile app, which allows you to do many of the same things right on your smartphone. I have their roadside assitance. I’ve had to use the roadside assistance twice and both times it was fast and easy with no charge to me. One time my car had to be towed, and another time the driver jumped the battery on my car to start it. Geico is also willing to help with payment issues. On a couple of occassions, I had to contact them to delay the monthly premium payment by a few days. They handled everything over the phone with no hassles. Overall, I am very happy with Geico and have no plans of switching. I would recommend them to anyone who has need for auto insurance

To date Geico is, the best company I have been with. They are more than just a series of cute commercials. The company actually manages to deliver. Over the course of my driving history, I have been with three different companies, including State Farm Allstate and my current company. Geico provided the best price at the beginning, and they have maintained that price through the years. They are convenient, offering payment through a number of different methods, and either in a lump sum or monthly installments. They also offer an automatic payment plan, where each payment is automatically deducted, eliminating the penalties due to forgotten payments or missing stamps and envelopes. I have not had to file a major claim, but minor ones such as glass replacement were taken care of with little trouble. I have spoken with other clients that have required repair or replacement of their vehicle, and they were generally satisfied with the process. That does not mean they obtained full replacement value, but the amount was viewed as fair. I have reviewed my insurance with a local agent in person, and verified with the national company at their toll free telephone number. They were easily able to verify my provided driving history, and quickly used it in the evaluation of my policy. I would give them serious consideration if you are in the market for a new company, particularly if you are located deep in the heart of Texas. If you also have home owners insurance, it is possible to get an additional discount on both policies
