I have a had nothing but a positive experience with the insurance company Elephant Auto Insurance. I switched to them from Sate Farm mainly because of the cost savings. I’m saving about 50% being with Elephant rather than State Farm.
I have not experienced any lack of customer support since being with Elephant either. The most involved I’ve had to work with them was when my car was hit on the side of the road. It was parked and nobody was in it. Elephant kept me in constant contact while the claim went through the process of working between our two insurance companies. i wanted to stress to Elephant that I was not even in the car and I was upset that this had happened. Elephant remained very personable with me, keeping me up to date, throughout the process. At the end of it, I believe Elephant worked very hard to get me a satisfactory amount back on the car once it was declared totaled.
Other than that one incident, I’ve worked with Elephant Auto Insurance personnel over the phone to get my wife’s car added on to the policy, change of address, etc. Simple things, but the wait time on the phone was never longer than a minute and I always hung up the phone satisfied that my call had been addressed.
The only negative thing I can stay about the company is that they need to offer an automated/scheduled bill pay feature on their website. I have to manually go every time and pay my bill. It would be a great feature if they could offer some sort of automatic bill pay in the future. All in all, would definitely recommend Elephant Auto Insurance if they offer it in your area!
