Very unhappy with Nationwide, rates always going up, and then I tried their Smart ride app and was told I would save 25% on my bill.. you know what it took off? 2 lousy dollars a month, which is definitely NOT 25% of my bill. Come to find out it’s only 25% off certain coverages, that then comes out almost even because others get raised. What a scam.

Nationwide may have a great commercial, but they are not on my side. Looking for a different company that has better rates and hopefully nicer employees than the ones I have had to deal with.

Decided to try Nationwide after not being able to get their jingle out of my head. They are an ok company, I really haven’t had much interaction with them so as far as I can see they are alike every other insurance company out there. Thankfully I have yet to need to file a claim

Will be switching from this insurance company as soon as possible. Just took a 50% increase on my policy and I can’t get anyone to tell me why.

At first I really liked this insurance company, they gave me a good rate and I was pleased with service. As the last two years went by they have raised by rates by almost three times what they started out as. I have had no tickets or accidents so couldn’t understand why. I contacted them and the only reason I was given is that insurance rates have gone up. I am currently exploring other insurance companies to see if I can get better rates.I don’t think those of us that are safe drivers shouldn’t be charged higher rates.

Nationwide is such a scam! They have messed up our insurance so many times. The one time it was supposed to renew and we sent payment, and they accepted it, they cancelled our policy and didn’t tell us. We found out 2 months later after still making payments to them. Then to renew our policy, they charged us way more because they said we had a lapse in coverage, but they backdated the policy to the original renewal date. Clearly, if we were paying our policy we thought we had coverage, but they did not take this into account. I have never had an issue with any other company when it came time to renew a policy before. Then my husband got into a car accident and we provided everyone with the policy number we were given, and then the doctors were all told we did not have insurance because they moved our policy over to some other part of their company and never told us about that either. Dealing with their customer service is impossible. Someone had called us after we put the claim in and we missed the call, tried to call them back and could not reach anyone for over a week. We finally were able to get ahold of someone and we had to redo the entire claim process over again. The whole process and everything we have had to deal with was frustrating. We have clean driving records and pay an arm and a leg for insurance and then we come to find out it wasn’t even full tort!

This is a great place to get insurance. I have known them both since being in high school. They were very smart back then and they still are very much part of the area and the community. They have a very strong background in insurance and they keep us very much in check with the most updated products and are very in to keeping us up to date with life insurance and most important car insurance. They are very helpful with that. They will set you up with great car insurance and keep you happy all the time. Great way to get a really good deal on insurance.

These people are very local and people that i went to high school with. They are very helpful and very nice to me. I have all my insurance with them including auto and house. We also have life insurance. They are all bundled together and come out in one time. They also are very good when we have a claim. We had a tree fall on our car and they were out there in about 2 hours. They were able to call someone to remove the tree. They also wrote a check on the spot for the damage. It was a great way to do this. I also was able to talk to someone that was very helpul.

They are a great local company. I know the two agents. They are the children and in laws of the old owner. He was in business for 40 years in my town. He had a very good reputation. They kids are doing very well and they have taken over without any incident. It is great to see them and I feel very good that they are in control and are my new agents. I have both my homeowners and auto with them. They take the money out each month and I have no problems. I have had several claims over the years and have not had any problems with those. They also did not raise my rates at all. Just a great company. They also send me relevant information about my file and my coverage . They were able to point out an umbrella policy that I did not have and it has provided me with a large amount of coverage at a great price. I am paying like $20 a month for a million dollars in extra coverage. I also plan on opening some other funds there in the future. Like I said they are very good and are taking after their family member without causing any problems. Great company

Originally I was with AAA but after they were no help at all I decided to drop them and change to Nationwide which all my friends have told me was amazing. I’ve never caused an accident in my decades of driving and yet somehow I seem to be a magnet for bad drivers. Some idiot rear ended me when he was road raging at somebody else and then tried to run from the scene of the accident. I was worried that my insurance company was going to use that as an excuse to screw me over every way that they could but they didn’t. They set me up with a loaner and then they went to work working with the police to get as much information as they could. Once they determined I wasn’t at fault they took care of absolutely everything and my premiums never even went up since I had been with them for so long with no incidents whatsoever. Ever since then I’ve been absolutely positively loyal to them. Sure it cost them money to make sure I was completely satisfied but in the long run it made them far more money because I’ve convinced multiple friends and family members to change over to them as well and I have no intentions of ever changing off of Nationwide either. They are A+++ in my books and unless they somehow massively drop the ball on me in my times of need I will stick by them even if they aren’t the cheapest insurance to get

    |I signed up for Nationwide 6 months ago and it’s been pretty disappointing. There were errors made during the initial sign up, I was later charged an extra fee for using a credit card when I was told there would be no fee for using it. Had to call twice to get that removed. Now that it’s time for renewal, my premium has gone up almost 10 dollars a month— for nothing. No accidents or claims of any kind. The phone call to find out why the rates were increased was the kicker. The rep said he would check into it, and his tone was clearly one of someone who didn’t want to be bothered Also, he kept calling me a name that clearly wasn’t accurate. It wasn’t even close to my real name. And why call a customer by her first name, anyway? What happened to Mr or Ms? Anyway, he didn’t seem apologetic in the least when I politely pointed out my name was NOT Angela, even though I’m pretty sure there was a computer screen in front of him with my correct name. Poor, poor customer service. I think companies are used to customers not wanting to rock the boat, but I’m going to shop around for a better company with better customer service. Maybe it’s because I’ve been a customer service rep and know better. There are clear ways of treating people well and making the whole experience a good one. That’s the kind of company I want to deal with. I have a feeling Nationwide will be increasing my premium every 6 months for no real reason and I’m not going to stay and find out.

I have been with Nationwide Auto Insurance for about three years now and they have been a great insurance company. The monthly payment is a fair price and has many easy ways to make the payment online. They also have a really good roadside program which offers up to 100 mile towing. We broke down and called Nationwide’s call center. Within 30 minutes a tow truck was there and towed us a 100 miles with no out of pocket expense. I have never made a claim with them yet but you can do it online at there easy to use website. I would tell my family and friends to get Nationwide a try.

I don’t think I have any negative things to say about my experiences with Nationwide. I have been with them since I could drive and they have always been great. There were many times over the years, especially when I first started living on my own and getting used to paying bills and whatnot, where I either didn’t have the money or just forgot to pay the bill. They were always really nice about it and gave me an extension as often as they could. One of the reps even waived the late fee because he understood my situation. They also slashed my bill in half by telling me the things I had been paying for that I didn’t really need, so now I only pay 80 a month, which is great. My mom loves them as well. Her car broke down a couple times and the free towing service or free gas guy coming out to you if you run out of gas was a big help to her. I’m in the process of getting my first new car, so I assume my rates will be going up because of certain factors that aren’t in play with my current 2001 Honda Prelude, but I’m sure, based on past experience with them, that they will tell me the best way to go about saving the most money. The reps are always very helpful with things like that as I said above. Either way, I won’t be switching insurance providers anytime soon.

Nationwide Insurance was recommended to me from a friend. He always had positive experiences with them and assumed I would have the same. About three months in to going through them, I ended up in a fender bender with my neighbor in the parking lot of our apartments. It was really embarrassing. I got on the phone with Nationwide and I can’t tell you how helpful they were. First of all, the representative kept a very level head in dealing with me. I was rather upset it happened in the first place, but she did a fantastic job at keeping me calm and being extremely nice to me. Everything got figured out and by the end of the call I was much less worried about what might happen. Overall, my experience with them has been fantastic. The insurance itself is great. It’s far cheaper than a few other companies I looked at. Their customer service spoke for themselves. Not only did the call after the fender bender go well, but I also had to call a few weeks later on an unrelated note. They addressed the issues I was having and spent time with me on the phone going over my options, and finding what’s going to be best for me moving forward. That care and attentiveness towards customers is exactly what I wanted, and they most certainly provided it. Overall, Nationwide has done everything they should do to be a good insurance company. I’m at the point where I’d gladly pay a little extra just to get the care and attentiveness from them that I have already received. I cannot recommend them enough.
